Enjoyed our 1 overnight stay at this hotel. No fault to find with facilities and staff. Wee bit disappointed that the bar wasn't open at lunchtime, but, other than myself, there probably wasn't much demand for it. Would definitely stay here again if joining a cruise from Southampton.

Made short journey from this station just last weekend.Very well run much better that in the 1970s when I was a regular. Announcer made regular updates on train due in and platform changes also made sure passengers were standing behind yellow line.All staff very helpful when purchasing tickets from machines and all train information displayed on the numerous TV screens.How could you go wrong 😀

Up to date information boards and verbal announcements as well as helpful staff especially those offering special assistance and the GWR guards. Well- stocked cafe on Platform 1 with freshly prepared baguettes and offers on coffee and pastries as well as a separate takeaway buffet. It'll be better when the lifts have been serviced and are back in operation.

Exit involves going over bridge from central platforms. To then have to swerve your way down another crowded platform to reach exit from station. Think this needs to be looked at as there is possibility of station redesign which would improve the station and customer experience.

busy little station, easy to get around form platform to platform, the stairs can get a bit conjested but its a lot better than any london station. thhe shops are nice, the staff have always been friendly and helpful. the trains usually leave on time so show up early

Parked all day for £5.20. Could do with a revamp and better entry and access to the parking at the back of the station. There is poor lighting in the evening if you are walking about towards the car park on the front of the station.

To be fair it is a train station so I can't wax lyrical about it! Unfortunately it doesn't have a friendly feel and I have witnessed a few fights break out, never broken up by staff. Having said that the staff are friendly and j would like to think if somebody was being attacked they would step in. Plenty of places to get some food or coffee, also a great pasty shop! Warm(ish) dry places to wait indoors, without needing to buy a coffee. As a train station it does its job, but it us not the sort of place you want to hang around in.

The station is in a good spot and has buses on both sides of the track. All of the staff we spoke with were very helpful and obliging, but the building itself could really do with a makeover. It's functional, but dismal and worn out in almost all areas. The covered footbridge, (which we were grateful for, it was raining whilst we were there), is quite dreary and uninspiring.
