Second escorted tour with this company. Did 5 days in Iceland tour. Everything went smoothly, excellent tour guide, Per. Extremely knowledgeable and interesting guy. Very friendly too. Highly recommend. Just let down by the room given at the hotel, but I guess the travel company doesn't have control over this.

Just returned from a Danube river cruise. It was first class. The boat was equipped like a five star hotel. Food was superb and plenty of it. It was made even more enjoyable by the staff on board who were excellent. Excellent trips from the boat but sometimes strenuous although there was always an easier option! Be prepared for a full on holiday and then come home for a rest! Would certainly recommend it

Just returned from a Rhine cruise aboard the ship Oscar Wilde. What an absolutely fantastic experience. Luckily there was just enough water to allow us to travel without disruption. Food was amazing, the facilities were great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. (Our favourite waiter was Zukman. He was brilliant)👍🏼 If I had to find fault I would say that the company are missing a trick by not having a ‘a travel Office’ on board. We would definitely have booked our next adventure there and then, had that been possible.

Just returned from excellent cruise down the Danube from Budapest to the Black Sea. Really enjoyable trip, the cruise directors were excellent as were the staff on the boat. My only observation concerns the behaviour and attitude of some of the guests, which was not what I had been expecting based on previous Riviera holidays. I do hope that in the desire to attract customers back standards of dress and behaviour do not drop to a level where other travellers will be put off booking again.

Went on Lake Como package holiday dept. 17 June 2022. Riviera were first class and will book with them again. Customer support both before and during the best I have ever received. I caught COVID and had to isolate and extend stay - Laura in Operations Division went above and beyond to help. Debbie and Tim (Tour Managers) also a great support.

Riviera provide some great holidays, have been on about five river cruises with them and a tour in Spain. Have just booked a trip to Menaggio on Lake Como for September. Only problem is, if you need to contact them, they either don't respond to emails, I had that experience earlier this year, sent 5/6 emails, no response! Then if you try to ring, it would seem there are only two people answering calls and you can hang on for ages, just 20 minutes yesterday which was good! Poor customer service in that respect and they need to get their act together. As I said, cruises and holidays are great when you get there!

Another great holiday with Riviera Travel. Excursions were varied made much more enjoyable by the knowledge of the tour manager Debbie who told us all about each location and pointed us in the right direction of things to do once there. Great hotel in great location. Only disappointment was the gornergrat railway breaking down while we were at the top which resulted us in missing Zermatt. This was no fault of Riviera. Will definitely holiday with them again.

Itineary fantastic. Some hotels were poor. Guests were denied coffee and given an inadequate breakfast bag when leaving at 5 am to travel to another location. My first time travelling with them and they did not meet my expectations or in my view live up to their reviews.

It seems Riviera Travel are only interested in selling holidays and nothing else. I emailed them twice and rang them once with some feedback after returning from the Classic Spain trip recently and haven't even had an acknowledgement. Maybe they're not interested in feedback. I cannot fault Riviera for their itineraries and quality of content but until they change the way check-in is dealt with, I will not be travelling with them again. Each passenger was given a different email address to use for check-in which then required an 8 digit code to be sent to this unknown address. As no access was possible, everyone had to ring the Riviera offices to obtain this code. I had to ring twice for assistance and each time had to wait a long time for my turn to be answered. Mulitply this by every traveller on every trip and you have an unacceptable situation for all parties concerned. I found it very stressful and am not prepared to go through this again. I welcome an explanation by Riviera as to why this method was necessary and, as already stated, will not travel with them again until the procedure is made far more user friendly.

This is my third time with Riviera only because the first two holidays with Riviera were exceptionally amazing and well crafted , implemented and executed. Two of us were on a tour to southwestern Italy from Sorrento to Capri to Amalfi coast and all along the Bay of Naples. The hotel La Vue D’or staff and service was excellent. Tour manager and tour guide was good. Two things, I was not happy about was the amount of free time given to us in a small town of Sorrento and we really didn ‘t know how to spend the time. Day 1 after reaching hotel around 12.00 was free, Day 2 after 1.5 hrs of walking tour of Sorrento and orientation for the tour between 9 & 12.00 , the day was free. Day 3 was full day Anacapri and Capri, Day 4 was full day to Herculaneum and old town of Naples. Day 5 was drive around Amalfi coast and visit to Ravello 2 hrs. This day was the biggest disappointment as we booked the tour mainly for visiting Positano and Amalfi which I think was changed later on and we didn’t pay attention to the fact that the tour says ‘drive along Amalfi coast’ which we realised later. Day 6 was free AGAIN. So, we had additional expense to book a private tour for Positano and Amalfi which Riviera could have managed using a small van for us instead of a big coach. Day 7 was Pompei and returned to hotel by noon. Day 8 we had flight at 10.30 for home. Overall, the tour costed me more money for booking private tour and spending money shopping which was really not needed just to kill the boredom in spare time. So, please Riviera bear this in mind when you write the itinerary keep people busy and occupied outside of hotel. Thanks

Just got back from our 3rd visit to Bruges with Riviera Travel. Everything went really Smooth ( apart from the English train's! Which is not Riviera's fault) The Hotel Academie was Absolutely Beautiful, and we wouldn't think twice of going back to stay there again . If you just want to go away to Chill Bruges is your place , it's so relaxing, and Riviera give you the option to do as much or as little of the itinerary that you want . I can't recommend this trip enough.

Riviera are a fantastic travel company and I can't rate them highly enough! From the superb tour managers, many of which live in the destinations you are visiting so their knowledge is outstanding, to the local guides they use and the places of interest you visit, their holiday are always superb! I'm not their usual "target market" as I am usually one of the youngest on their tours and, to be honest I don't care as they are such good value - there are no hidden costs and their customer service is excellent.

Riviera are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble, they are very helpful. Fantastic value for money, excellent hotels and food. The guides and drivers are second to none. We just came back from our second touring holiday, the first was classical Italy, the second was scary Transylvania. Two remarkable experiences, looking forward to the next holiday.

We enjoyed a Riviera Travel trip to Croatia in June 2019. There are so many positive comments. 1) Excellent tour guide. 2) Very good hotels. 3) Superb excursions. 4) Some excellent local guides, others not so good. Negative points: 1) Not able to use online check in. So just had to take chance on airport arrival. 2) Travel agent assured us that we would be seated together. This wasn't the case. Because we couldn't use online check in. We were only able to upgrade our room in 1 hotel. 3) Our trip included border crossings into and out of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. We were aware of this, but nowhere were we warned that each border crossing could take between 1 and 3 hours. Sadly a 5* holiday was spoiled. Would we book another trip? Perhaps, but only if they amend negative points 1 and 2 above.

Marrakesh February 2019 I have been on several Riviera tours and this one has to have been the best. Our Riviera representative Mohamed was incredibly informative and couldn't have been more helpful with any queries we may have had, he always had time for everybody and went out of his way to make our trip as pleasurable as possible. He arranged a couple of evenings out for those who wished to go and chose wonderful locations and arranged our transport for us. He was ably assisted by Abdul who was an amazingly informative guide. The whole trip was great fun and a pleasure to be on. Well done!

We have used RT on 2 occasions and found them to be well organised, responsive and friendly. On our 2nd trip it was discovered there was a french(?) air traffic control strike and all our flights home cancelled. Without any fuss or bother, during the evening all 30 holiday makers were found alternative flights back to UK with minimal disruption. I was impressed.

I enjoyed the cruise on the Nile enormously. We were met at the airport as promised and our luggage was delivered to our rooms. The staff on the boat were very attentive to our needs and polite throughout. The food was excellent and there was a very good selection. Our tour guides, Salah and Mohal, were both superb. All of the tours were well planned and went off without a hitch. Our tour guides provided an excellent overview of the historical events surrounding particular monuments while drawing our attention to interesting features relating to particular paintings or hieroglyphs on the walls. I would recommend this company without reservation.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Lake Garda. The tours were fantastic, the tour guide we had was Julie who was knowledgeable, well informed and ensured everything went like clockwork. Our first time, it wont be our last. We had a problem on way home which Katen the rep was aware of but apparently it was decided not to advise us that the italian airside staff would be striking. We did not know until our flight was an hour late. Had we been warned we could have got food and drink for the 3 hour delay. We has been told to go straight through security etc, which was not good advice. Fortunately Ryan Air managed to get us boarded so ready for 6pm when the strike was halted as it was nearly time for their crew to end their shift, not sure what would have happened then, and the impression was Rivera no longer concerned. As we had booked flights through Rivera we believe it should have been, so another area for improvement So although a fantastic holiday still room for improvement and honesty about the problems. Karen did advise a few people but if we had all been told it would have made the journey home a little bit more informed. So whether this was a personal decision or Rivera decision I dont know, but a poor call after the attention to detail and honesty we had received previously from Julie. Some areas of improvement for the Savoy Palace hotel due to time of service at meal times between courses and for drinks. Also the food choices, people ordered the same item and it was different standard, and though a choice on the menu we did struggle, duck was amazing but not what served with it, pig sucking tasted delicious but only one piece of meat, beef was beautiful but not enough,. We paid extra for lakeside view but really hotel was too far from lake to call it this. Hotel comfortable and clean but entertainment was not good. We did hear complaints from others about Europa too, so perhaps Rivera may lose customers if the hotels dont improve customer services and charge for upgrades to rooms that dont deliver that wow factor expected.

Just want to take this opportunity to thank Riviera Travel for a first class professional holiday experience on a recent holiday to Puglia. Amazing places visited daily with a superb representative in Paula Stone who was so helpful and informative as well as witty. My friend Maureen and I thoroughly enjoyed this action packed holiday. One of the highlights was the visits to local restaurants in the various places. The hotels were also excellent. Well done to all the team at RT.

We have just returned from a week in Norway. It is a beautiful country & the tour covered all that we wanted. We were very lucky to have Mohamed as our tour manager. He gave us the agenda for the week with all the timings & his contact details on it so we all knew where we needed to be & at what time. He was excellent. He is wonderful with people, very kind & he made each one of us feel special. He has a huge knowledge of Norway & shared this knowledge with the group. There were 51 of us & he managed us with ease & was always entertaining us with anecdotes on the coach journeys. He is a great assest to Riviera & became a good friend to us all. Thank you Mohamed for a great week in Norway & I hope to see you on a future tour.

Wonderful holiday to Classical Spain. Each hotel was beautifully appointed, comfortable and centrally located, but I must mention how helpful, kind, gracious and knowledgeable our guide, Manuel was. We have just returned from a weekend in Paris with Riviera Travel. We had a great time and Riviera travel were really well organised and provide a very personal service. For example they rang me to confirm my train and the Eurostar were running on time with the very bad weather we were experiencing. A big shout out to our guide Andy who looked after us really well in Paris. It was great value for money as the tour trips around Paris were fantastic and were all included in the price. This is the first time I have travelled with Riviera Travel and would not hesitate to go with them again.

We travelled to Vietnam and Cambodia in February and our tour guide was Marella . We had a full and hectic trip, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The one criticism I would make is that I think the group was too large and on many occasions when our local guides were explaining the sites or pointing out carvings etc, unless you quickly got to the front, it was impossible to hear him/her. Also,at the end of such a tiring trip, it would have been appreciated to have been able to add on four days on a beach to relax before the flight back home.

Another excellent Riviera holiday. Krakow is a lovely city. As always, Riviera have chosen a super hotel, within easy strolling distance the main square, castle, river, supermarkets etc. Only 4 days, but packed with visits, information etc. Friendly and very well informed tour guide, Chris, she kept us entertained with stories and info.

Just returned from a 7 day "cruise" on the River Douro in Portugal;. No complaints whatsoever with Riviera, the Ship operator and all their wonderful staff who, without exception, were absolutely superb. On the second day, the Douro River was 'closed' due to very severe flooding caused by unprecedented rainfall so we ended up moored in the middle of nowhere for the duration of the "cruise" ! O.K. we were 'bused (?) everywhere but, sadly, the destinations were really not worth the many hours spent over mountainous roads. To be fair, we did see a lot (and I mean "a lot" ) of the Douro valley region ( again and again ) but the journey's ( which would have been much shorter if after another stretch on the boat )were tiring and quite stressful, as the coaches had leather seating which, combined with the long, twisting and steep roads caused you so slide about and practically 'out'of them, bar for the seat belts ! Finally, the journey back to Porto, was about 5 hours by coach, but appeased somewhat by an overnight stop in a very nice Hotel, all be it that some of our fellow passengers had then a 4 hour journey to Madrid at the crack of dawn the next day ! Overall "interesting", everyone did their best but Portugal is what it is, a bankrupt Socialist country with some beautiful, empty highways, paid for, no doubt, by us and fellow EU members and which are hardly used as we understand that the tolls are prohibitive !

Just returned from a 7 day break in Croatia. Absolutely loved our break but there are some early mornings involved and a couple of 3 hour coach journeys involved, one of which included a border crossing so be prepared for possible long waits on the coach. Personally this was too long for me but I suffer with my back and in fairness we did know about the distances involved. One of our hotels was changed a week before departure to a sister hotel but having been spoiled with our first and much smaller one, we found it somewhat inpersonal being in the main, a business hotel - albeit the staff and food could not be critised and the room was clean and functional. Our tour guide Michelle was absolutely fantastic and her knowledge was second to none. Thank you Michelle.

I recommend Riviera tours and travels for their best services offered to my family for last year holiday trips at rann utsav, kutch. This time we planned again with few close friends to visit kutch, rann utsav festival, Riviera travels had great customer support services and quality of food and hotel room facility is upto the mark. At the time of booking I was feeling some fear in my mind that should I booked at perfect place or not ???? But on the day first of my travel it was really totally opposite means the place which I booked its perfect and my 6 days tour was unbelievable means its really enjoyable at all. I salute the Gujarati Tour Operator - Riviera Travels Pvt. Ltd....for my unforgettable trip. The tour was terrific! Our driver arrived on time and did a great job getting us through the busy any place traffic to each destination. Our tour guide was amazing and proved to be the highlight of the tour. Her English was perfect and she had the best personality. She made sure we saw everything we requested and even added a location that we hadn't considered which was simply amazing. they were very knowledgeable and patiently explained the history of each location we visited. Because of her, we had the opportunity to see any place through the eyes of a local which made it very special. Much thanks to her for an amazing experience! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting any place This was the best of a number of tours during our North India / west India visit. There werw, many guide seemed to have a personal connection with each site we visited, which made each one special. He watched out for our well being, especially in any place, and provided honest, helpful advice. Also, he spoke excellent English. I was surprised by how many great things any where has to experience.

Just returned from the hotel La Badia Sorrento . Jenny was our tour guide and I would like to thank her so very much for looking after us and making our holiday so fantastic, her knowledge Sorrento and surrounding area is 100%. She is a very warm, pleasant and goes that extra mile to make sure that everyone is ok. Her commitment to her guest is outstanding and it really does make a difference to know if you have any problems she is right there and really does care. River Rhone Cruise 18th - 25th August - we were 2 couples who will be celebrating our Golden Weddings later this year . We thoroughly enjoyed the whole cruise. Mandy and Glenda our tour reps were wonderful -nothing was too much trouble. The Countess was a lovely ship with a very special crew who all worked very hard to make sure everyone had a good holiday. The food was delicious and on every occasion there was something to satisfy each one of us. The weather of course was exceptional that week which made it every more special. None of us had done a river cruise before but hopefully we can repeat the experience with Riveria Travel.

I went to Bruges recently and our guide was Kay. she was really wonderful and knew the place in great depth and was able to help everyone to find what they wanted to do. On the way back from Lille we were waiting for the Eurostar and the trains were not running to time so she got us new tickets for the best train to get us home on time. left to myself I would have been waiting on a cold platform for hours!

We enjoyed our recent holiday to Lake Como, staying at The Grand Hotel Cadenabbia. We were a bit concerned at some to the reviews on trip advisor, but having travelled with Rivieria before knew it would be O K. and so it was. Our room was good, nice and quiet at the back of the hotel, we had requested a room with shower only and that was what we got. There were some issues with the food in as much as if you did not get to the dining room for dinner between 7 and 7.30 a lot of the buffet had gone, and was not always replaced, we also discovered that if there was a dessert you fancied best to take it the same time at the starter or you would miss out here also. The quality of the food was good especially when you consider there were about 200-250 people to feed and most of them turning up in the dining room between 7.00 and 7.30, that considered the dining room staff,did exceptionally well. The weather was not wonderful during our stay, and this did spoil the day of our trip on the Bernina Express as there was a lot of low cloud and precious few views, it was especially disappointing as this trip was one of the main reason for us booking Lake Como. Having said that, our tour guide Mat Locmelis made our holiday a very enjoyable experience he was an absolute joy to travel with, well informed, friendly, and very very helpful, nothing was too much trouble , even organising a farewell drink for the whole coach party on our last evening, something I have not experienced on other Riviera trips. He is a real asset to your company.

We have just had our first experience of a river cruise we sailed on the Thomas Hardy on the Blue Danube . From the moment we stepped onto the ship our every need was catered for the staff were wonderful very friendly the food was sublime and our cruise director Victoria ably supported by Peter looked after us over and above their remit looking forward to cruising again with Riviera on a different river

Just returned from an 8 day tour of Dalmatian Coast and Montenegro. It was a full tour group of 49. The tour was exactly what it said in the brochure and was well organised. Special thanks to the Tour Manager Jelina who was excellent, she had a comprehensive knowledge of Croatia and the other countries we visited (Bosnia & Montenegro). The tour guide who took us around Split was also excellent. However, the tour guide( Antonia) who showed us Dubrovnik Old Town was very disappointing. She was too patronising to the group and made us feel as though we were not capable of walking more than 10 steps without being asked if we were alright. Whilst her jokes and anecdotes were appreciated on the coach she continued to try and be an actress and comedienne during the guided tour and this did not work. The two hotels we stayed at were of a good quality and given the nature of the mass catering for tour groups of all nationalities the food (buffet style) was very good. In summary a very good tour. The only downside is that on a Saturday there is only a flight from Split to London Heathrow and as the tour itself ended in Dubrovnik we had a 4 hour drive to Split airport, necessitating a 07.10 start on the final day. Would recommend this tour. This was our third tour with Riviera.

I have just returned from a trip to krakow - WOW, what a trip ! Packed, and excellent tours included, and the optional ones were brilliant too - you HAVE to do them. Our tour guide 'Carolina' was SUPERB and deserves every praise available. Novotel Centrum was fabulous, clean, and the food was excellent. The whole trip was just brilliant, and Riviera Travel will certainly be getting my custom again - I cannot recomment them highly enough - book with complete confidence !

We have just arrived back from Lake Maggiore (12th to 19th May 2015). We stayed at the Astoria hotel in Stresa and our tour manager was Pauline Riley. We have had a superb holiday with the best tour manager we have experienced. Pauline was very knowledgeable about the area and had prepared excellently for each excursion with relevant maps and directions and places of interest. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and we feel that she is an asset to your company. We would love to be able to take another tour on Lake Garda with Pauline as our tour manager The hotel was also excellent and the staff friendly and courteous. The food was of excellent quality and we appreciated the flexibility of meal times

We have just returned from the "Classical Spain" tour and can heartily recommend it . After an initial disappointment that tickets could not be obtained for visiting the Alhambra , we were delighted with the alternative attractions, including guided visits to the Alcazar in Seville and the Albaycin quarter in Granada. The tour was meticulously organised by Inken who worked hard and cheerfully to keep us all on track during a very full 6 days and the quality of the specialist guides in Seville and Granada was superb. We have now experienced 5 tours with Riviera and this one was up among the greats!

Just returned from holiday on Lake Garda which was great . The fact that the flight went from Cardiff attracted us to the the holiday and proved to be hassle free. The three hour coach journey to Riva was , for tall people like us , less than comfortable as was in a small couch with little leg room .All other journeys were fine. Hotel Europa in Riva was good ., its proximity to the square and the lake ferries a bonus for us .The highlight of the holiday was the day in Venice,when our tour guide Bev , who was superb throughout the holiday ,negotiated a gondola for the two of us . An experience I will not forget . Thank you Bev.

A friend and I went to Bruges with you on 16th November, it was holiday to remember. Our tour guide Anette was a joy. She was knowledgeable, just had the right approach, in, when she was needed and in the background when it was needed, a true star. Comfort of traveller is not of the best or first thought 0.7.00 departures for bus tours (nominally to avoid traffic in Sorrento did not achieve its aim-CHAOTIC ROADS ( Very polite Italian drivers) What is one to make of a 2 1/2 hour plane journey followed by a 3hr bus ride to destination ? THIS FOR A TRIP TO MADRID - 0bviously it suits them to do the trips to Salamanca/Toledo first and then MADRID. Just imagine an older travel on that first day - 6 or 7 hours travel not forgetting a 05.15 book in at Airport. MORE PASSENGER CONSIDERATION REQUIRED
