Reviews of Waterworld
J. E.
Really fun day out for the family. We took our 6 year old and we all really enjoyed it.
I had not been since I was a kid about 15 years ago and it was exactly the same except for the 4 new slides in tornado alley.
Some areas were a little tired but on the whole a really great day. Also not too crowded considering it was a Saturday and the number of slides help to disperse people and keep queue times down. New slides are great however are already starting to look like they need some TLC especially in the exit area which is sad as they are only 18 months old.
Only real negatives was the fact that having spent £80+ to visit they then want more money to park and then again more money to have a locker! I did think this was poor and left a bitter taste in my mouth. Also changing room cubicles are incredibly small and we could not find any family ones. They should definitely look at how Center Parcs run there changing rooms as its such a clever idea.
Having said the above we would still recommend for a day out as we all had a fun time!
P. P.
Very crowded on bank holiday. Long queue outside, but your time slot will start once you check in. Then there was a long queue again to get to any ride, people were standing on the stairs waiting their turn, my son took around an hour 😒 to try one ride. I would say because of bank holiday. People should have finished their time slot and leave but they were staying and came new people with new time slot over and so on. That's why it was crowded. My children were disappointed but they tried to enjoy playing in the pool instead of the rides. We enjoyed the food. In the end it was an interesting first time experience. I may repeat it again but in different aqua park or in normal weekend.

Parking £3. Attentive staff guiding you to be in the right queue for your time slot. Non refundable 2.50 deposit for keyless locker. Plenty of change rooms and spare showers. We went at 1030 and the place just got busier and queues got longer but never more than 20 mins ( avoided the rides requiring rings after 11). Life guards and pool attendants were always present. Some areas around the facility are slippy, even when being careful, so beware and use handrails:-)
Top tip- go early and go on biggest rides 1st. Our kids had a blast too.
A.
Had a great time with friends and family. Kids enjoyed to maximum. Very happy with all the facilities. It’s a worth the money spent

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the venue and the steps they have taken to mitigate the transmission of Covid which you can read about on the FAQ page of their website.
My review is based on an off-peak visit, where we didn't have to queue for more than a couple of minutes for each ride. I do not think I would visit during peak times due to travel distance, and because many other reviewers say it can get too busy, but that's no different to the likes of Alton Towers or any other popular attraction is it?!
The car park had plenty of spaces and was adjacent to the place (just enter reg number and pay with coins, no card payments as far as I could tell, and it's just a flat rate for the day). Staff were all very friendly and seemed to be very attentive to what was going on around them which was great from a swim safety point of view.
We have been before and enjoyed the restaurant / cafe which overlooks the main pool (the one with wave machine), and I would say that the offering is varied enough to suit most people's requirements, with vegan options etc. I had the Aberdeen Angus burger which was good value, but it sounds more impressive and premium than it turned out to be when it arrived on the plate.
The water looked quite green, but I had read about this on the website in advance so understood the reason why (basically, the water is sourced from a borehole and chemically treated, for environmental / sustainability benefit etc). It feels off putting at first as its not what you'd usually expect, but knowing that the water is scientifically tested helped me to overcome the natural mindset to suspect something was wrong with it. I'm still here to write the review after a week, so that's got to be a good sign!
All in all, we had a fantastic time at this place, and would go more often if we lived closer. I always highly recommend Waterworld to my friends and acquaintances, and our kids have always thoroughly enjoyed their days out at this venue. The owner has nailed every aspect of this place and I look forward to seeing future developments and investment going into the business to help maintain its solid status.
Please LIKE my review if you found it helpful - thanks in advance! 😁

The water park itself is brilliant, safe, clean, helpful and nice staff, can't fault it. However, £2.50 for a locker is a rip off, same for the fact that you cannot bring in your own food. Having to queue then for food for 45 minutes when it is not even that busy is also a bit of a joke. Food was good though. Surely if you force your customers to buy your food, you can at least make sure that your through put is snappy.

Firstly, staff were wonderful. Nothing too much trouble for them.
Found the wave pool a bit slippy, and I fetched out a couple of fairly large stones.
Far more people there than I would have liked, and very long queues for the slides/rapids.
Enjoyable afternoon, but will try to go at a quieter time next visit.

All I can say is WOW! 🤩
The best slides I have been on in ANY water park in the UK/worldwide!
The wave pool is awesome and great day out for any family. Numerous slides that will keep all the kids entertained and thrilled.
Quick ride times and also great 1 way systems in place for safety and COVID. Also life guards are on point making sure everyone is safe and plenty of them around, giving you peace of mind that your kids are safe 💯
Changing rooms were clean, the bar/food was also amazing! They also sell goggles and all the bits you need for younger kids.
We will definitely be coming back all the way from London but next time for a whole day session. (4 hours is just not enough) 💯😏👌🏽
N. M.
Fantastic day out lots of variety of slides and fun things to do in the water like the wave machine and rapids wow they are quick ! Staff are very friendly and my goodness the life guards are just fab they really do look 👀 carefully at the water and keep us all safe you all do an amazing job , very helpful as well , clean changing facilities open showers or there is a private shower section which is fab and plenty of lockers , cafe always looked busy personally didn’t use but smelled great. The car parking is £3.50 and you get 3 hours inside to have fun , the only thing I would say is that there needs to be clear instructions of what is where and where to find what rubber rings to what slide that’s the only thing. Other then that fab day out really enjoyed it keep up the good work guys !

I went to waterworld for the first time the other day and had a fantastic day out! We had from 10am to 3pm which was enough time. I went in the week so it was relatively quiet so there were extremely short waiting times for rides (although some rides were not available).
The water is lovely and warm which is difficult to find in places. The decorations and design of the place were really nice too.
The changing rooms were spacious and clean with many lockers. £2.50 for a locker.
The only negatives was that the system for the rides was a bit confusing. It wasn't clear which ride was what or which inflatable rings were for what ride. Some more signage would have been good.
m. k.
Omg, definitely visit! Best waterpark for England you can imagine! Slides were amazing, so many to choose from and they were really well thought through and built, very enjoyable and interesting, some really got your blood pumping 😁! Queues were big so get ready for some waiting but you're allowed enough time to do fair few. It was busy but not overly packed, they have good system of managing the numbers. Looked great inside, with restaurant right there so you can have pool side meal/drink if you require. Signage for slides and queues could be a bit better as if you've not been before, you can easily feel being skipped by others if you stand in the wrong queue - make sure you read all signs you find! Plenty of lockers and changing rooms. Water is green but that is on purpose, their chemicals colour it. Part of the pool leads outside as well. This is not a park for swimming, there are not big pools to do lanes in, it is made for fun and it truly was!!
L. J.
Took my 7yr old son, he loved it. We didn't try the huge slides just the one with 4 coloured lanes which he enjoyed. Also every 30mins the wave machine comes on. Not too much to do for under 5s I would say. The changing rooms were clean and a good size. Food was good value for money but the cafe area was untidy.
K. K.
Great slides. Clean facilities. Good fun for kids and not only ...
S. D.
Amazing place, would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the crowdedness. I usually don't put reviews but this place was amazing, I've been excited for so long about this place and it is great.
The flumes were great, thrill and fun. They had a few but the queues ruined it in a way. Some people pushed in and we were waiting. They possibly could have controlled it a bit better.
Leading on from my last point, it had a lot of people in the pools but there was space for us to swim, it was fun and there is a wave machine and hot tubs and other things.
It is very expensive, food, parking, lockers and the place overall. It is for the right reasons though because it is a very good place.
N. W.
Amazing day out for a family. The rides are great, water is not cold but cold be a bit warmer. Facilities are large and clean enough. Food options were adequate. Not all staff were helpful but others were amazing. I took my disabled child as well, he loved it but I only wish there was a water wheelchair or lift to take him into or nearer the water since buggies are not allowed anywhere near the swim area.
D. B.
I was pleasantly surprised at what a good day out we had here. There's plenty of fun slides to choose from for big kids and adults. And a nice area for the little ones. The water is a nice temperature. I was confused at the greenish tint of the water but the water comes from a bore hole and is perfectly safe. Majority of the life guards were lovely and very good with dealing with such a variety of ages of people. There are busy times of day which meant queuing for longer. My only complaint; obtaining the rings was a little confusing. You have to go to the end of the slide you want to go on to collect a ring from someone coming off and then take it to the beginning, which is fine when you know that. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return.
E. R.
Went on Jubilee Sunday with teenagers. We had a great time and 3 hours in the pools were enough for us. Water was warm. Not giving it 5 stars because you have to pay for the car park but, above all, because management seriously needs to step up on cleaning. I didn't see one single member of the staff wiping or mopping hairs and dirt from floors nor toilets - they need a professional cleaner full time on this. The place got really crowded past 12pm. After showering we ordered some burgers, restaurant service was incredibly slow. I appreciated the vegan options. Advice: book for the first slot; you will queue up less, go on all the slides and you'll be happier. Bought a combo ticket and went for the mini golf afterwards.
C. B.
2 adults and 1 6yo arrived at 10am in half term. Fun had by all. Slides were slidey. Queues for rubber rings were getting very long by 1pm. You'll pay for a locker. First time I've seen that. General facilities were good and clean. They keep the place comfortably warm.
R. M.
My 9yr old boy absolutely loved it. Changing areas were clean and tidy. I'd advise to get there early as we found the closer to midday the busier it got and the queues for each slide got progressively longer.
One slight criticism would be the speed of service in the cafe - food was ok for a high volume venue. At busy times you are limited to 3hrs otherwise you can stay as long as you like. Forewarning there's a parking charge of £3.50.
Well worth a visit and we can't wait to go back
D. W.
Great slides and the children fully enjoyed it.
Could have been improved with more staff around to explain the queuing system on some slides. I had a couple of gents get quite annoyed as they thought there was only one queue and we were pushing in. They were fine once I explained and let them know the pool attendant had instructed us to do so on a previous turn. It was also signposted but I must admit I didn't notice this on the 1st climb up the stairs.
It wasn't always obvious which rides needed inflatables, or where to collect the inflatables from, but boy were they good fun when you got on them.
Thoroughly recommend the slide with the trap door. My kids were too scared to go on but it was probably the highlight of the trip for me. It took a while to get on it but was well worth the wait.
S.
great waterpark! queue entertainment was lovely, there is a multiple of different slides, a wave machine and rapids + a jacuzzi
C. E.
We went as part of a larger group with kids, they did all enjoy it overall.
I can't give 5 stars though as the price was just too high! Over 60 for a family of three, compared to splash landings that's 30. Then your gouged again for parking, then another gouge of 7.50 for a locker.
On top of this the outside was closed and the drop slide, one of the main attractions, was off too.
E. K.
Great day out for adults and kids!!
No idea what all the bad reviews are about. The water is lovely and warm and the normal colour you would expect in a swimming pool. Yes there are queues - but surely this is to be expected and can be somewhat avoided by choosing an earlier or later session or visiting off peak.
The rides are fun and range from tame to extreme with a good wave pool, outside area and toddler section.
My only criticism is the queuing system for rides that require a rubber ring. You have to queue separately for your ring, trek all the way across the building to the ride entrance and queue again. Pretty sure this could be avoided by just handing out the rings at the start of the rides.
Overall, I thoroughly recommend this place and would definitely go again.
K. E. M.
It was a fun and attractive environment for children, but it needs more attention and care. Some of the surfaces were slippery as a sign of not being thoroughly cleaned, so my kids felt on the surfaces twice. Several slides were out of reach. Actually when we pay the full price, then we expect to use all the facilities, not some of them.
The restaurant's foods was good but the chicken pizza we ordered was awful as the meat smelled old and raw.
S.
Nice experience but loads of negatives.
1st of all, why this stupid useless rule that doesn’t allow you to take pictures? Ohhh I know the answer, just so they can get more money from you by paying them for pictures.
Everything is overpriced. Some places would need some attention and proper clean 🧼 🧽. It wasn’t to bad when we’ve been and the queues weren’t to big, but the staff that supervise the slides just can’t be bothered and everyone has different rules and opinions on what is and what isn’t allowed.
Overall good experience, but I have been to far better and cheaper places.
B.
First time coming here for me and my 11 year old son. We opted for this as we couldn’t get in at Alton towers and I’m so glad we did. We visited on a Saturday outside of school holidays. Booked for 10am session, joined small queue outside at about 10:10 & in the pool by about 10:25. Car parking is £3.50, lockers £7.50 but £5 returned at the end when band handed back. Two tickets £42 for both and we spent £20 on food & drinks. So just shy of £70 but would absolutely recommend !! We stayed 4 hours but could have easily stayed another 1 or 2 hours. Very small queues for the first hour or two. Then waited no more than 10 mins. Got on everything we wanted multiple times. Was clean, changing rooms clean and didn’t smell (pet hate of mine when they do) plenty of lifeguards & staff in general. Staff cleaning the changing rooms and shower area. Food was actually really decent was quite surprised. It does look a bit tired in multiple places so could do with some tlc. Would have liked to have seen free car parking & free lockers considering the entrance price, fine for the locker deposit to be taken but the full £7 should be refunded. Overall brilliant day have already recommended to friends and would come again
L. H.
Took my 10 year old for a holiday treat and as it wasn't holidays for every school this week it was a great time to visit. Went on every slide, some twice. It's comparable price wise to other UK water parks, though I agree it's not cheap when you're taking a whole family. Personally I don't think it's worth the price for younger children but for junior school age and up it's a fun day out :)
M. U.
good place for little fun but was too crowded when we visited takes ages to get to the slides should limit the number of people at one time and charging £2.50 for each locker which should be free when u paying over £20 pounds for each person.
J. C.
Made the mistake of just turning up without pre booking. Initially thought it was a 'oh no' moment until I spoke to Wayne the general manager and he checked things out and managed to get us in. Fantastic customer relations and an excellent day had by a very grateful family of 4.
Would highly recommend on all fronts, staff, food and venue all top class, thank you all will definitely be back.
A. L.
I will give only 3 stars because the amount of money that costs a family of 5 to go does not justify paying £3.50 for the car park on top! It should be for free. Also food choices very limited but apart from that all good and fun as always.
W. C.
Great day out for kids, lots of rides, good locker and changing facilities. Car parking should probably be free or reduced as few people need it for 8 hours. Not big queues, wave times were not easily identified.
R. M.
Good selection of rides but very expensive for what it is. £20+ regardless of age but then to charge for parking and a locker on top when you're there and over a barrel is a bit of a joke.
Needs some real investment too. Few things look like they're falling apart, rust stains often and places that haven't been touched.imnfar too long.
Daughter, 6, loved it otherwise would have given lower score. Would go again but Alton Towers water park seems better value but good for a change of scenery.
D. G.
Brilliant day lots of different rides and attractions to keep you entertained, the whole place seemed really clean and a definite improvement from my last visit a few years ago. Only thing that could be improved was queue management, very frustrating to see the same people(young teenagers) constantly ignoring queues and passing inflatables between their own group and the life guards allowing it to happen
J. K. m.
Visited here on Wednesday 16th, was not happy with the service at the front desk reception and security guard coming out to do a bag search as we had kids too and just come from a long journey. We had not even entered the property as yet. Staff not welcoming at all from the front. However the 3 stars are for how amazing the actual waterpark inside is and also the staff within the centre of where the slides are were very nice and helpful and friendly. Would not visit this branch again although we did love it!
J.
Prices to make your eyes water, but its a great place to spend an afternoon.
We took our 1 year old who lived the toddler pool which is warmer than the rest.
At £20 per person, even just for spectators, it was a bit of a shock to pay £7.50 (part deposit give back) and £3.50 for parking.
Sessions are booked and guarantee 3 hours, we were done after 3 hours including some food in the cafe which was actually very good quality.
The queues for slides were enormous between 1 and 3pm on a Saturday so you want to get there earlier if you want your monies worth.
Changing rooms and showers are a little cramped. Prams not allowed to the poolside cafe area and also don't fit in the cubicles.
Great fun if there's a enough room to enjoy yourself but like everything, plan ahead if you want to ensure you get the most out of it.
J.
Highly enjoyable waterpark. It has something for everyone. You get 3 hours in the park and time travels fast when you're having fun!
The only negatives I can list is the queuing up to gain entry eats into the time you have in the park and the locker fees £2.50 for a locker but have to pay £7 to secure bringing back the key.. the £5 is refunded to your account days later.
N. S.
First time visiting here. Had a great day with my family who loved all the slides.
Bit of a queue to get the rubber rings for those ones but generally excellent.
The cafe bit was really disorganised and pretty pricey though.
G. W.
Went half term. Got there for 10 long queue..First half hour was good no queues after that first hour people were packed in like sardines... 5 chutes In the middle had one set of stairs still after all these years ... the bars that used to be above the lily pads that were there 25 years ago look like the same ones with half the bars and rings missing. The rubber ring ride kept getting people stuck so was delayed... the rides the kids went on were good just needs a hell of an investment... shame really...
S. W.
So much fun! I personally would recommend taking older kids as they can get the full experience from the slides etc but my friends had one smaller kid and her children all loved just playing in the wave pool and outdoor pool too (took turns to take the older ones on slides). Awesome day and I was knackered after our 3hr slot
N. P.
Great fun for all the family.
Only downside was the queue to get in, 1.30pm time slot but didn't enter the building till 2.15pm. This was due to only one person doing bag searches.
Definitely need to improve that system over the coming months.
J. m.
It was OK, but won't be going back.
We took our 8 year old.
During half term, so understand was extremely busy. Our tickets were booked for 11am, got in to the building around 11:30 as queue was very big.
Changing rooms were OK. All managed tk find somewhere to change quickly even though was very busy. Fairly clean.
Lots of different slides to choose from, all had fairly large queues and wait times.
Definitely spent more time out the water than in it.
We were ready to leave by around 2pm, son wanted to do rapids one last time. But it was far too busy and unmanageable by this point. The waiting area was getting busier, everyone pushing to the front and impossible for the lifeguard to manage.
So decided he could have one last go in the wave pool instead. But was informed this had been turned off due to a fault. So we left.
As said was during half term was extremely busy and unmanageable crowds. Would not recommend going during school holidays.
Was the right decision not to take our 3 year old. Don't think is good for younger children. The whole place is a little dated looking. Flooring is slippery, son fell over when leaving.
Overall was OK if you just want water slides. But for the price, we would rather do alton towers waterpark as to us, that is more family friendly.
E. L.
The kids enjoyed it - a good wet/ cold weather day activity. It was v busy so long queues for many slides. Bad layout meant one queue for multiple slides of varying popularity so unnecessary long waits for some. Both jacuzzis were not working so nowhere for parents to 'relax' in water whilst kids played. One slide out of operation all together - not good on one of the most busy days of the year. Some ongoing repairs looking a bit DIY and therefore the decorations tired and dated...and a little rusty.
The system for food and drinks didn't cope well at all on a busy day. 1 queue regardless of whether your were wanting just drinks or wanted food. Therefore v long waits for everyone.
Overall a good day out, but room for improvement - particularly on busy days.
J. E.
Need to book it before 1:30pm otherwise, you won’t get it. You still may queue outside as bags will be checked for security reasons. Shared shower for all genders. There are some hair dryers. We went there with 3, 5, 17 year olds kids and they all enjoyed it.
L. C.
Great day out lots of slides, wave machine, rapids and outdoor pool. Only thing is admission is a bit high but a lovely treat for all the family. Serves fast food and I've cream too.
P. T.
Great place for the whole family. Good facilties and clean. Lots of staff supervising and feels safe for all ages.
Food selection at the cafe isn't big but definitely does
m. n.
Changing rooms weren’t very clean and you have to pay £7 for the lockers (you get £5 back at the end). It’s quite expensive but the rides were amazing, not too busy and loads to do. I’d recommend even for adults
B. B.
We went first time there, very good staff, food, place, clean, safe. Lots of fun with kids, inside, outside, many slide. Very cool day out!!
L. C.
**Do not listen to the bad reviews** After booking our tickets I read some really bad reviews and looked into getting a refund which I then learned was not possible, I am so glad we took the risk and visited Waterworld.
I honestly do not know what some people want?!? We visited for my daughters 9th birthday as it was her chosen day out and although it cost £80 for our family ticket, I am glad we went and the kids (aged 9 and 4) loved it.
I've got very high standards of cleanliness so was dreading the visit thanks to some of the reviews I read but not once did I see any dirt or uncleanliness, the place is kept very clean including the changing rooms, toilets and pool areas themselves. The staff were all really welcoming and pleasant and there was lifeguard presence everywhere. They blow their whistles to keep everyone safe and this wasnt excessive as some people have mentioned.
We didnt eat there and opted for a car picnic instead but there was a Subway inside and the poolside cafe food looked great from what I saw.
There wasn't an issue with the chlorine, I did tell my children to be mindful not to swallow the water where possible much like we do in the sea and we had no problems with stingy eyes or poorly tummies.
Parking is like £3.50 but fully expected just like it would be if we went shopping for the day and the wristbands for lockers are £7.50 but £5 is returned at the end of your session which was perfectly adequate for us. The queue outside looked a monster when we arrived but went down really quickly because the staff were so efficient.
All in all it was a fabulous day out and we stayed for around 2.5hours until the children had enough and wanted to eat. I would probably not revisit anytime soon because I feel satisfied that we have been and done it but I would definitely recommend it if anyone is thinking of going... Don't be too hasty to throw the idea of it away due to some people's expectations being absolutley ridiculous :) x
C. C.
We went on Good Friday and the traffic was horrendous due to the M6 being closed, so we arrived slightly later than our booked time.
We turned into the car park and saw the queue and it was massive - but we parked up (took a while to find a space as the car park was full), paid the £3 to park and joined the queue.
Member of staff was walking along the queue checking people had their tickets and as we were booked in for an earlier session, we were taken to the front of the queue and let in.
Changing rooms were busy, but found 2 cubicles no problem.
Once in the swimming area, the queues were big, but moved quickly. I don't think we queued for longer than 10 minutes.
The one way system is a bit confusing, and unnecessary.
The floors are a bit slippy - more than expected - so keep hold of younger ones.
It is quite pricey, £20 each, then £3 for parking, £2.50 for a locker (after refunded £5) and then drinks and food are really expensive, but it's a decent half day out.
No issues with cleanliness as other people have said about.
g. t.
Excellent day out with the kids only downfall is gets way too crowded they seem to fill it to capacity. Bright side though staff are helpful, friendly and lifeguards seem fully alert. Would go again
s. f.
Busy busy busy at half term. 20 min wait per slide. But good fun. Recommend the all day ticket. Food options chips and fried confort food. No salads...
L. G.
Got here an hour early for timeslot as travelled a long way and not sure how long would take to get here but the chap on reception was very helpful and allowed us to go straight in and added that there was no time limit as quiet. It is £7.50 for the locker and £5.00 is refunded. I imagine this is to promote fast turnaround in the changing rooms so I didn't mind. We found a cubicle and locker with no issues. The waterpark did get busier but never felt overcrowded and the water seemed blue to me not green. The water is also not freezing but not really warm either. I feel the cold and did not feel uncomfortable with the water temperature. The only feedback I would give is that they could do with more rafts as the wait for rafts before you go on the slides that need them is quite lengthy as you have you wait for other users to hand them over. Overall though this is a waterpark that's worth a visit.
D.
Good day out, good variation of slides and other attractions. Witnessed Some unique swimming outfits. Jeans and a blouse must be a hygiene concern. Won't be going back for that reason.
J. S.
Great day out with my 6 year old son. Went on a Thursday towards the end of the school holidays. Although we had to travel just over 2 hours to get there I picked this water park because there are still 3 longer water slides that a child who is over 1.1m but still under 1.2m and is not a strong swimmer can go on in the UK. It is fair to say that the slides are dated but they are well maintained compared to other parks of a similar age around the world that are extremely run down. If there were tubes with lights for the under 1.2m flumes and an expanded rapids that would probably address the dated comments but I'd expect most kids would still enjoy these slides. It was busy being half term but before midday we did not really have to queue and even after midday most of the time the queues were between 5 and 10 mins at their longest. We added mini golf to our package which was a nice way to end the day before going home.
I was a little sceptical coming here because of some of the reviews I read so thought I'd give my own feedback on them. The pool, eating area and lockers were all extremely clean, they were also proactively cleaned throughout the day. Personally I found the comments about the pool being dirty and green misleading. Yes it is true it looks green but I really think this is down to light, mainly because of the green air ducts reflecting off the water and old style cream tiles being used. The water was certainly not dirty. As for the chlorine levels, well we were there on an all day pass and were pretty much in the pool for around 5-6 hours. Yup eyes were a tiny bit irritated when we came outside into the fresh air and sunlight but no different to what you would experience at a local hydrotherapy pool. Personally I'd be more worried if my eyes were not irritated at all. As for the queues on arrival, we got there at 10:05, there was a longish queue but the manager came out, spoke to us individually, helped with any queries anyone had, helped with parking queries, because all of this was done whilst people were queuing, less time was needed per person at check-in so the queue was draining pretty quickly.
As for the complaints about the parking charge and the surcharge for the lockers... At the end of the day it is all clearly explained on their website so nothing should be a surprise to those who booked online. I didn't mind the parking charge because I see it as expected these days when you outsource the management and maintenance of the car park to a 3rd party firm. The surcharge for the locker is probably a fair complaint but in fairness it is an electronic tag and the best way to get people to return them is to stick a high deposit cost on them. At the end of the day it is nice to have a slim electronic wrist band that you can pay for food with without having to go back to get your wallet.

It was extremely busy when we visited today, large queues for all slides due to the shear volume of people in the place.
We managed 1 slide and 2 rapids in x2 hours.
I would never visit again over a bank holiday.
The facilities were clean.
R. S.
Very, very busy. You book a 3hr time slot. 20-30 mins queue for each slide. Wave pool activated every 60mins, even though advertised every 30mins. Outside pool not open, even though it was warm and sunny and in season. Not enough changing facilities for amount of people drying/changing. Probably would've been better had they not crammed in as many people as they could. The slides we actually got to ride where great, but missed out on alot as we had used most of our time queueing.
D. T.
Nice for kids but not for parents 😁
N. h.
Kids love it and they oviously don't look into things us adults do. I mean it's great fun but very old and dirty. Slides are slimy. floor in the big pool was slippery with slim too. There were a few injuries we seen from other people on the day we went. I hurd the blackpool water park is better so may try that next time instead.
S. C.
Waterworks is a great place to take the kids (and adults) for a few hours of fun, slides and swimming! Clean and friendly environment. Have been twice, will be going again!
A. G.
Great variety of activities, toilets and shower area very smelly.
Good poor quality and very expensive.
A bit of improvement will make the place a really great adventure for families with children
I. C.
Great staff 5 stars. Ques where big for all rides so 3 hours goes quickly.
Great fun and the rides are great.
C. P.
Had to drop off grandkids , they love the place, and are old enough to go alone, however, no longer able to book as a spectator unless you pay full price, disappointing, as I enjoyed the outside area in the summer.
S.
Haven't been here in years and its still as good as it used to be. Friendly helpful staff. Great place to take the kids
S. M.
Really good experience, our 4 year old granddaughter enjoyed it as did we, quite pricey but we could stay as long as we wanted, the carpark wasn't too expensive either, overall a great family day out
D. W.
The actual attraction is really good with lots to do. Slides are fun with a mix for all ages. Lots of places to get food. Changing rooms and lockers were adequate.
Signage is very poor so it's hard to know where to go. Especially bad for the slides and when we first got there we had no idea how to get on some of the slides (for one of them you have to queue in a different place to get the ring and then join the actual queue for the ride). There were a few rides on the website that we didn't even find (some of that is we ran out of time because of the queuing).
Queues are also disorganised. At one point there is a single queue (up a spiral staircase) for 5 different rides - obviously the wait for each is different so some slides are under used and you are queuing unnecessarily if you want the less popular ones).
Queues for food were long but mainly because the staff were slow and the system inefficient.
So it was an enjoyable trip though a bit pricey. But frustratingly could have been better if they were just better organised and more efficient.
TOP TIP : for the parking either have £3.50 in cash (there is only one machine for cards and it is S L O W), OR skip the machines and when you get in the entrance queue there is a QR code you can scan to pay for parking (nowhere does it say that in the actual carpark!)
F. H.
Named after the hugely successful Kevin Costner film and just as much of a belly flop. Sulky staff and could not care less attitude towards piddling pesky kids and hygiene. Never reply to my job applications to run the show and sort things out. Highly recommended if you want to be an inland lifeguard
B. S.
If your a spectator it's hot, noisy and pretty boring. They charge you £8 for the privelage too. Kids loved it here and we struggled to get them out of the water. Overall a bit on the expensive side for what it is, food was very average.
Z. T.
Nice way to have fun, there is plenty of water space, slides everything you need in the water park. On the weekend is a little crowded but you can still enjoy your stay. The price is affordable and the deposit for the locker room is given back when you leave.
A.
Great place, worth the money. I would however recommend booking the later time slots, as then when the other sessions finish, you are left in the park with less people and able to access rides quicker.
L. O.
Booked the tickets pre covid but only just used them due to numerous lockdowns, knee repair ops and the odd delayed response from waterworld customer service.
I even tried to get a refund at one point as I read a few negative trip advisor reviews, but having failed to get my money back we bit the bullet and went.
Glad we did.
The kids had a great time, changing rooms clean, lifeguards helpful, queues were quiet in the morn much busier in the afternoon but manageable if you kept your eye on them and just joined when they were low. We went on a sun morn. Had about 4 hrs splashing about having fun, kids could have stopped longer but I didn't have the stamina haha.
Slides fun, waves awesome. Showers warm but some slightly dodgy and immediately stopped after pressing.
Food was 8/10. Slightly expensive but in line with other theme parks etc. Chilli was a bit gristly so left it.
Slight queue to get a locker refund as its done at the café rather than the reception which wasnt busy, so suggest being able to take the band's back to both areas to speed up the process. Annoying having to wait for numerous milkshakes and coffees to be made whilst the receptionist is free.
Overall a great day out and with the odd tweak would be faultless. Better to support these venues and offer constructive feedback rather than not have them.
We will return at some point 👍
S. A.
Love the place. Water is nice and warm. Very good hygiene throughout. Plenty to do. And they don’t leave the kids behind either. Food is also Halal which was a bonus for us. Really worth the trip. Especially with the restrictions in place. Really did feel like a holiday. I would definitely go there again!
S. P.
At the off peak, very good. Just few minutes wait at each slide. Managed to do each of them many times. Excellent with family. Very friendly staff. All nice and tidy.
A. G.
We had a brilliant time, great that they allow smaller children on the flumes with adults
c. r.
Awesome time on the slides and the staff were fanstic, however the food side was not up to a standard that it should have been.. And the catering staff were all young folk who had not a clue about customer services or hygiene behind the counter (touching hair not wearing gloves etc)
A. E.
Incredibly busy but the kids loved it. Be prepared for long queues for everything and expensive cafe. Lots to do though plenty of slides and areas for different ages.
D. R.
Really good place family friendly water is cold on the slides.
P. A.
Took the whole family
It was a bit pricey but worth it as there was plenty of water rides and splash pools .
It's was really warm and we were on there for just over 3hours
We had a snack by the pool
The place on a whole was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly
.I will definitely be back
L. J. -. M.
Fantastic fun, had a great time. Unfortunately, three of the main rides were closed today (Twister, Spacebowl, Thunderbolt & the Hot Tubs bubbles turned off) which was a real shame. Also couldn't help but notice that all the water is green, which was quite concerning. The place in general is starting to feel a little run down and could really do with some rejuvenation as most of the equipment I recognize from more than a couple decades ago! I wish I could give 5*'s but there's a lot of room for improvement.
L. G.
No free drinking water anywhere which may be illegal. Can’t drink from taps in the toilets. Can only buy expensive bottled waters. Whilst queuing for flumes in the heat can be thirsty business. Pool attendants don’t seem to be interested in efficiency or direction. Sort those two out and 5 stars as great flumes and water park.
H. ه.
It's really amazing place for all ages 👍because it has good price 👌 ,we enjoyed 😉
J. C.
Aquapark Is very small. Entry is quite expensive and parking isn't free. Entry cost 15£ and parking cost 4£. If there are few people, So water slides aren't open all. There is only 6 water slides. Changing room is small and shower is cold. There is small swimming pool. There is bistro with desserts and Sunday. There are very slippery floors. Outdoor are two restaurants. There are very taste burger. There are two jacuzzi. One is cold and second is warm. There is small Twister. On reception is one women. IF you pre-book, you can skip queue. It is forbidden photo or video.
S. V.
Was great well worth the money n ppl saying about pool looking green its the reflection off slides pool was fine. Went on a weekend at half term was really busy but the longest we waited for a slide was about 20mins so thought it was brill we booked the full combo tickets was well worth it 😀
j. j.
Never mind the cost of living what about the cost of swimming, family of 6 £117. Parking £3.50. Lockers £5. Dinner £48 & it ain't great. Never mind £40 fuel to get there, Jesus man who owns it simon lieviev lol feels like I've been had by the tinder swindler for 2.5 hrs swimming
I. P.
Me and my daughter enjoyed it. Nice place to go. I thought it would have been much bigger. They also need a squeezer so when you come out the pool you can get dry your shorts
S. S.
What a brilliant day! After leaving the till whilst the other family member was sorting the locker out, I approached a member of staff (Rachel) . She was so helpful. She explained to myself and the children (3&7) that the water was not normal water colour and why it was different and explained to the children how safe it was, she also answered some really important questions for myself as my son is noise sensitive, She even suggested for him to take his ear defenders into the water with him and omg what a brilliant idea that was. I'd never even thought about doing that. 4 hours we stayed in the water thats the longest time he's ever stayed In the water. I appreciate all the help and support the staff offered us as a family today. The water was fine slightly of colour but every where was extremely clean.
Thank you for a wonderful day
A. W.
Fantastic day for all! We all enjoyed it. Couple of rides closed stops me giving 5 star but overall a good time.
A. P.
Fantastic place to visit. So much fun had by all the family and perfect for children and adults of all ages.
Highly recommended
R. W.
It's okay..... Worth the money.. hmmmm maybe. One things for sure definitely WOULDNT call this the UK's Number 1 water park Faulse advertising there as splashdown Poole beats this by a mile. Water world unfortunately VERY Dated. Hasn't changed since I last went there 15 years ago. With the exception of a few new slides hidden at the back. Rest of the pool is In dier need of a refurb unfortunately.
k. t. f.
Kids loved it suitable for all ages can stay as long as you want lots of great fun slides to choose from. Great day out for kids
M. D.
Kids enjoyed it. Had FUN . Maybe the water would need but of a refreshement as it was worse quality i have seen here for past 3 years as we go quite often .
a. a.
Went in half term with my family and had a great-experience. The lifeguards had their eyes fully open to keep everyone safe. Nothing could've been better except for the rings. There was a shortage of the inflatable rings which are needed to ride some of the slides. There should be more of those but other than that, well done to the water world team. I totally recommend it to all ages.
S. B.
The Park made me a bit dizzy through the day,But overall its a good place to go i recommend it!The waves makes you feel dizzy but still there super fun.
P. W.
Has a lot packed into it. Food and drink prices are not inflated like most places. Enjoyment for all the family and big kids.
r. f.
kids absolutely loved it. had a wonderful time there! everyone seemed to enjoy the slides and wave pool, (especially tom!). staff were wonderful, 10/10 for customer service. definitely would come here again!
T. K.
I thought it was great, went midweek during term time and it was quiet with zero queuing, my first time there so I'd say pick your times to go
s. k.
Definitely the best water park I've been too which is closest to bham that I find is more suitable for younger children, so many more slides that they are able to go
M. T.
One of UK's best water parks however a little too dark and over crowded sometimes. Not many options for under 3 years old.
S. H.
One of the bigger pools has different types of slides for any age. Water temperature is ok. Locker room area is dated and narrow. Parking charges are extra.
J. M.
Lovely swimpark, you do need plenty of time and I agree with other reviews that the end of the day is the quietest.
J. C.
Brilliant day with the kids. Security bloke was excellent & encouraged the queue to sing happy birthday to some young lad (made his day). The rides were good, the only drawback was my daughter wasn't allowed on the lazy river (as she was a non swimmer but, at 8yrs & 4ft9 seemed stupid as specially as both parents with her..... Over zealous, it didn't spoil the day
J. B.
Expensive day out - queues are long and to go on rides you have to walk around the entire floor again and again.
Wave pool was amazing though!
G. P.
Really good but we were packed in like sardines too many people queueing for the flumes
B. G.
I had the best experience ever. At first the place seemed quite small however, there’s lots of rides. I didn’t not have time to experience all of them. Partially due to queues. I recommend the 2:30 session. Around 4 o'clock there are less people around so you can enjoy the place.
I really had fun as for the first ever I heard grown men screaming for their lives as they were scared of the rides. I entered the Thunderbolt, and got so scared that I asked the lady to let me out and everyone laughed. Very fun experience.
Please make sure that you tell your loved ones how much you appreciate them because this place will make you believe that your life is in danger (in a fun way of course).
Lots of stairs to gain access to the rides, which is good to burn a few calories whilst having fun. Food was good, not too expensive. Paid £3.50 for parking which isn’t good but could be free.
The only issue is the fact that the toilets need a bit of an upgrade. Other than that, I’ll 100% recommend this place. I will go back. Hopefully one day I can be brave enough to experience the Thunderbolt
R. M.
Great place to go the only thing I hate about that place is you pay for the locker what is £7 and you only get £5 back pulse you pay for the car park and if you are like me and Go all the time it cost to much I wouldn't mind if they did the place up but it's not change since I was a kid all this place is is a money pit
N. W.
It is the best definitely great to take the family and good weather especially if you take family in summer and the slides are the best
D. B.
We went on a VERY busy day. Far too many people in there really. Long(ish) queues for rides to the extent I was dry by the time it was my turn. The water was green, but don't know whether it was the tiles!!! The kids really enjoyed it though and the rides we did manage to get on were great!
N. D.
Good selection of slides. A little busy on the overlap of sessions but overall great day out.
K.
It's nice place for a day, not for a session, as you will spend a lot time to waiting for slides. Only one thing, why water is in colour of human p@£s? Is this to hide if someone didn't make to WC..... Some stuff is a bit out dated, could easily improve with some colourful led lights. Food was ok, definitely better then in pub's around in town.... Overall it's good place
Z. D.
Great place but they do want to take your money extra charges for lockers and car park
J. C.
Slides were fun, staff were friendly, place was clean. Caught it at a really good time when quiet so basically no queues. Only thing I'll say they should change is this idea of colouring the water to some how make it "tropical" or whatever! Honestly just makes it a disturbing colour that looks like pee/urine.
O. K.
Very nice and clean but maybe abit to pricey for what it is more slides please and spend money on the floor do it it please....
A. B.
From start to finish it was amazing. My 8 year old & nephew absolutely loved it. I had to get a refund on some tickets(my mistake) it had taken about 20seconds to get it back, no questions asked. Busy place, queuing for most slides but you don't mind when you have so long in there. I actually thought at first it was a little pricey, but I now feel its absolutely worth it. 100% going again. My son had the best day ever.
G. A.
We went as a group of 12. Had a great time. The green water colour was not an issue. It is perfectly safe. I think we may have been lucky as we all managed to get on all the slides many times as queues were relatively short. I would recommend a visit if you are passing as we were. Was quite pricey and also had to pay extra to park.
c. m.
Yes it was crazy busy. Yes the water was green, yes it was a COVID breeding ground. But yes we has a great time. Once you get into it you forget all that. We had a 3.30pm entrance and by 4.30 it was less crowded so we could get on some slide which were all great. Took a 6 and 10 yr old who were both well catered. Great day out !
A. G.
Pool was clean, plenty of fun slides etc to entertain the kids - big and small. I like that the cafe leads onto the pool side so family can watch. Facilities are good. Only thing I would say is a tad busy, could do with smaller groups in one session.
a. a.
Skipped waterpark at Alton just to be here! Very helpful staff to begin with and a huge parking lot. Got disappointed by the fact that the park was crazy overbooked. Easily, over 500 people at one time. Had to spend 50 minutes just to get a round tube to ride the nucleus. Need to limit people in one session to enjoy fully, honestly. Park was very clean though with good changing facilities.
M. H. S.
We traveled from London to Waterworld as we'd heard it's one of the best of indoor water parks in the country.
It's true that it's bigger than others and has many water rids and pools but it's too crowded as a result too.
The most unpleasant experience was the strong smell of water cleansing materials like Chlorine solutions. It was too powerful in some parts that some people including me burst in tears and continues coughing for long time. We all as family were suffering afterwards for almost a day.
For some rides you have to go to a corner of the attraction to get a ring - which waiting in the queue to get the ring takes at least 20-30 minutes - and then heading back to the exact opposite side to get your place in another queue for almost the same time.
The facility itself needs more attention. However, pool and ride attendances were kind and take their responsibilities with serious manner.
Its on-site restaurant looked nice though we didn't get anything from there.
There is no camera permitted in the attraction and they don't offer on-site photo spots such other attractions too.
After all
B. K.
Kids loved it.. well maintained..
Long queues at slides due to weekend.. except that good 👍
J.
LO loved it, highly recommended - I did read the reviews before going and was slightly hesitant about the claims of dirty water but still went - the water was clean and plenty of pool attendants/life guards were on duty just in case of issues.
In the three hour slot we almost went on everything, this place is a must in the summer holidays for us, the next time we come it will be with a bigger party.
K. S.
Approximately half of the time spent there is where you wait in the queue to the slide. People are borrowing rubber rings between slides so you may find yourself waiting in 45mins long queue with just two or three rings. Compared to other water parks in Europe most of the slides are completely dark so you don't know how fast you are sliding. Waterworld has definitely an untapped potential.
C. B.
No complaints at all here. Went on a weekday so it wasn't too busy. As it was off-peak they rotated the slides which were open (sensible really) but we didn't really have to queue at all anyway. Pool colour (chemicals they use) was slightly off-putting put you get used to it quickly. Great day out!
A. O.
Usually amazing but despite preordering tickets, the walk-in visitors get their own queue, which normally means you are around 20 minutes late getting into the pool. Over the course of our session there were more and more people being ushered in groups into the pool, to the point where it becomes uncomfortable.
Food was great and the staff were friendly and approachable, just a shame about the lack of space in the pool.
R. W.
Had a brilliant time, kids (and adults!) loved it, but was just way too busy! Queues were really long which meant we only got a chance to go on half the slides. Some queues over 40 minutes! I Wouldn't ever go again unless it was not in school holidays!
S. B.
Excellent Waterpark with some impressive flumes. A tad pricey at over £20 per ticket and having to pay for parking on top and £2.50 for a locker stings a bit! Had a thoroughly enjoyable time but has to be an occasional family treat at the price.
L. S.
We booked the 3pm session on 22nd august, first of all I don’t think we were in the water until 3.45pm due to the ridiculous queue outside. If you were to book an earlier session where you need to leave after 3 hours, you would lose nearly an hour due to this so it’s worth bearing it in mind. You have to pay for parking which I find ludicrous as the water park prices surely should include this? We bought a family ticket for £78 for me and my partner and our 2 kids aged 6 and 4. We did have a good time and the kids enjoyed it however, for families with young children I can’t help but think the price should be reduced. The kids were too small to go on many of the slides, and we were unable to go on them as we had to look after the kids. So for £78 we were allowed to go on the rainbow slide, the kids on the small slides and in the shallow end of the wave pool - we were unable to go past a certain point despite them having armbands and an adult each with them. I think it’s worth the money if you can go on everything, but it should be reflected in the price if you can’t. The changing rooms also were cramped and not the cleanest. They advertised as running on limited numbers due to covid, but the place was packed and if you are nervous about going out then I would definitely avoid at all costs as there was zero social distancing - if this was limited numbers then I’m not sure what full capacity would look like. We wouldn’t go again while the kids are this young, it’s much better for families with kids 8+ at a minimum and would probably be more worth the money.
M. S.
Nice place. I liked they serve halal food and there was a day for women and children only.
F. J. M. F.
Very good place, there is 4 new slides. Me and Famili go every year. I didn't understand why the color of the water is green.
P. H.
Great place for the children, I thoroughly enjoyed it and was worn out after the visit. A bit pricy and parking is extra, but overall worth it.
z. “.
Great place . Daughter got really irritated eyes and lifeguard was amazing.
L. M.
Waterworld was a great day out, it was a fair drive from London but worth it. Kids had a great time, the food was pretty good and about the right price for this type of venue. The changing rooms are a bit chaotic but it is the summer holidays and extremely busy. Would defo go again
C. n.
Great place with friendly, helpful staff. It was very busy and I think you would struggle to experience all the flumes in the standard allocated time, the food was a serious let down had pizza, after a long wait it was burnt on the bottom and more cheese than topping on top. Paying for parking is not exactly straight forward and a bit confusing and if not done correctly can see you being issued a penalty charge but overall a great day out and would definitely go back.
N. M.
Not as good as we expected, lot's of slides, some rapids and a wave machine. But there was only one "working" jacuzzi but no bubbles. Plus there were sections of the pool that were completely disgusting, bits of the floor coming off and things floating in the water.
E. C.
Very busy at the moment but summer holidays! Was a pity as we didn't get to do everything we wanted to do as waits for the slides and lazy river could be 20-30mins or more.
The locker system has changed and you have to pay for them: £15 deposit taken for 2, with the cost being £2.50 per locker (locker sizes vary from approx 30x60/75cm - large enough for 2 big bags, to roughly 30x30cm, which is tight for two bags)
On top of the £20 per person and £3.50 parking charges, this makes it a very expensive day out. This is a real pity as this attraction is really good. However having so many people present does really detract from the experience. Think we will be going to The Wave in Coventry instead as even when busy, we did manage to get on the rides and it's £15 per person, so much better value.
P. g.
We had a nice day out at Waterworld. It wasn't too busy which I think made all the difference. Kids went on all the slides they wanted too although the thunderbolt was broken 😔. I think if it had been at full capacity I would have been annoyed at paying £20 a ticket.
The life guards were all nice. There was alot of them it felt safe...so maybe that is what you are paying £20 each for. They have security at the door which i didn't really understand the need for.
I don't agree with paying for a locker. Even though its only £2.50 its still something. £3.50 per car for parking also stings abit. We didnt buy any food inside but kids meals were £7 i think but you can get sharing platters.
They do not provide any arm bands or swimming jackets so make sure to take your own.
I would return and pay £20 if I was guaranteed a full day. I wouldn't visit in the height of the season as I don't think it would be worth it for 3 hours and lots of queing. Quite why they charge so much for spectators and small children is beyond me. Maybe a parent and toddler rate would be a good idea 💡
C.
A nice day, fun for the kids, including the big ones. Downside was the signposting wasn't very good so we had to ask how we got to different rides. It's looking tired too, in need of a revamp. The changing rooms quite dirty and hairdryers a waste of time! Golf was good tho
s.
Changing rooms are adequate, lockers are £15 a locker but you get a refund once you give the band in. Pool is large, plenty of choice in slides, and options for children. The ques however are very long and the slides are short. So you wait 45 mins for a 2 minute slide. Then when leaving we went to the ice cream counter and where told that he couldn't serve us ice cream because they had a que. Took a look around the reception area and counted 8 people in total so not sure where the que was. Ended up having to go elsewhere for ice cream. The pool could do with a deep clean as it looks green. Also the car park is not free for paying customers so we ended up having to pay for parking also.
k. b.
Very good for all the family something for any age. Can get refreshments and food if wanted. Plenty of car park spaces. First hour free then £3.50 for eight hours. Lockers are £5 returned back to you when handing in wrist ban. Lovely staff.
F. S.
Really good family fun, even in a busy bank holiday weekend. The slides/rides are fantastic and whilst the queue management child be a bit better, this is a real fun place where everyone is made to feel welcome. Look forward to visiting again...
N. C.
Great fun for me and my children but the prices always creeps up indirectly, this time it was the locker charge. Confusing parking system to catch out people. The swimming facilities are clean but need a good renovation soon, to which I hope the extra charges are going towards this asap! Lastly, the pool was quite green today.....
D. D. C.
Great place to spend 3 hours of time with family. Minimum height restrictions for most of the rides are 1.1 meters.
Its not as big as I expected but big enough for the money we are paying. We are not allowed to take any pictures inside the water park because of privacy concerns. Need to deposit 5 pounds for getting locker facility which is refundable.
3.5 pounds for whole day parking.
S. M.
We are not sure why people have slated water world with their reviews, yes they were busy but what do you expect in the school holidays with international travel issues? It was fairly clean and the lifeguards are hot on safety! The green water is not a problem and we were able to use changing rooms with no issues.
K. F.
Second time I've been, bigger group this time. Had the 11am entry in found we were glad we were that bit earlier as we got on majority or slides before the big queues started. Reccomend as a mother reviewer to go early and hit the slides, then relax for rest of time. Seemed to get busier from 12pk onwards. Changing rooms very busy where u leave in groups, but all found a cubicle to change in and were out in plenty of time to get locker deposit back.
Food took ages, slow service, prices as youd expect for a captive audience, but...it was lovely!
All in all we had a great time
V. S.
Fantastic ecsperience. Highly recommend. Had unforgettable time with all my family.
M. M.
Visiting from Ireland as have family in the Stoke area. Booked tickets, then following day saw the articles about the bad reviews and panic set in. Very expensive and I think it is totally uncalled for to charge for carparking and lockers as extra. Car parking should be validated and lockers should only be £1 or £2 given the entrance fee. I do want to address people's negative reviews. The water is NOT green. The colours of the tiles reflect on the water to give it the green hue. Dirty? Not when we went on 16 July. We booked for 10am so place was very clean and I constantly saw staff cleaning. Queues? Yes - massive. Having read the reviews we arrived at 9:20 for 10am slot. We were third family in line. By 9:30, the queue was quite long. As we were pretty much first in, we got onto slides very quickly. However, by 11:30 the queues were quite long. Overcrowded? Yes. As each hour passed it got busier, and it was hard to move around. Cramming people in is just not great. It does spoil the experience as there is barely room to move in the water and the wait for slides is so long. We did enjoy ourselves, but Waterworks should consider reducing the numbers they let in at any one time to ensure that people feel safe, comfortable and can get the most from the rides/slides.

Great for the kids, mine are 9 & 11 they throughly enjoyed it. I did think it was expensive for admission even as a watcher, then having to pay £5 for a locker (which however is refundable) and car parking charges on top was a bit annoying. I found nobody was adhering to the one way system they had set in place. There was no social distancing either, nobody seemed to care. The poor young staff worked so hard to try their hardest to tell people but the customers just did what they liked anyway.
M. H.
Kids enjoyed every second of it. The downside is that its forbidden to take pictures indoors so that they can charge you with they own photographer... ridiculous...
L. D.
Plenty of lockers and changing rooms. £5 deposit for the lockers, that you can add money to, so no need to ho back catd/cash for food and drink. Queue outside was BIG, went down super fast. Very efficient. Very clean inside, strange green water. Kids loved it! Plenty of slides and activities for all ages! Worth a visit.
M. H.
Absolutely loved this place. It's got loads of flumes slides a wave machine -the works. It's much better than the Alton towers one!
S. W.
Good but sadly I felt it was gravely overcrowded. Not enough space to swim very little signage for rides . Expensive for a family for just a few hours you end up queuing up for rides and it eats in to your time . Changing rooms where relatively and tidy plus they are heated . Parking is an extra cost which is a bit of a joke when you spend so much on getting in to the place in the first place .
V. F.
Fantastic fun and loved greatly by my 6 and 8 year old step children. All the slides were excellent though some queues for the rides with rubber rings were 20 min+. The kids thought it was hilarious jumping on and falling off the lily pads. Parking was £3.50 for 8 hours and the machine in the reception accepted contactless and google/apple pay. They use wristbands for lockers which require a £5 deposit that you get back in the end, and they also use a coloured wristband system to announce when it is your time to leave, though we struggled to understand the announcements with all the noise and echo.
Will definitely be visiting again!
M. G.
It's was to busy.. The new slides are great but the way you have to queue for them is not great 1 queue for 4 slides while holding a inflatable ring had to queue for 1 and a half hours to go on the water roller coaster. Managed to go on 6 slides in 3 hours due to the queue's and putting the prices up not a good move
A. D.
Good value. Amazing day out for all ages! Lovely food in the restaurant too.
S. E.
When booking, and after entering I found that the pictures were a little misleading in that the size of this venue wasn't as large as you'd think. You have to pay for your ticket and then add on £7.50 for locker hire, £5.00 of which is then refunded when you leave. There is an additional charge of £3.50 for car parking, which you can pay either before entering or on leaving. Even with restrictions in place, there were a huge number of people there, the locker areas are narrow and very closely packed together, which made things quite difficult for two adults with two children. The water was also green, which was slightly concerning, however the kids enjoyed the slides and the whirlpool rapids were good fun. Smaller slides were available for younger children as well. We paid £78 for a family ticket, but once you add on the parking and locker charge, costs start to mount up, especially if you want to eat at the on site subway. You are not permitted to bring in your own drinks and vending machines are really expensive there. I would recommend including the locker charge in the price of the ticket, and sorting out the colour and quality of the water!!!
d.
First thing the kids enjoyed themselves but as a parent very poor no restrictions very busy l thought they had to limit numbers that didn’t happen no new one way system it was the same as it’s been before showers very poor tannoy system didn’t happen to remind people of restrictions and when it happened to collect a child couldn’t hear it they say they have spent loads of money on improvements it’s the same as it was when I took my children 20years ago!!! Positive the staff who l spoke to were lovely well done to them
F. S.
Very busy and very noisy. Staff were doing their best but the queues got really long after an hour or so of being there and it didn't feel like a particularly nice environment to be in. Despite that we had fun but we won't be rushing back, especially not in school holidays! It cost us nearly £80 and took an hour and a half to get there and we left before our alloted time was up as it just got a bit much.
J. J. E.
Great staff. But two of the slides weren't working properly
D. P.
Kids loved it!
Think I will drop them off next time though
K. H.
Expensive and crowded. Make sure you book online for peak periods.
Extra £3.50 to park and £2.50 for a locker. A total of £67.50 for me and 2 kids for 3 hours.
The slides etc are fun....queues are long and entrances to slides unclear.
Queueing system is also confused. Same stairs for different slides means you can often wait longer for a slide that is actually empty. Once you figure it out it's better but could be a lot clearer.
Despite all that my 10 and 11 year old loved it, but at that price visits will be infrequent.
A. K.
Had a great time here but too many people as it was a very busy Sunday in the School holiday. The food offer was good, but again a long wait. We would visit again at a quieter time.
All the staff that I spoke to were excellent. Very helpful security staff manning the queue to get in .
L. C.
Good Amount of slides especially the new ones. wasn’t to busy, however very confusing layout was there 3 hours and constant whistles being blown because someone is going the wrong way or taking a ring to the wrong slide. Water was pretty dirty too. But apart from that a good day out tho would recommend to go on a weekday.
M. W.
Decent amount of slides, good sized wave pool. 1 way system in place at present which a few folk chose to ignore. Would be really quick to nip between slides without this, but wasn't too bad. Good variety of slides. Priced competitively to equivalents like Sandcastle.
M. G.
Amazing place to visit for kids and adults... well organised ...well managed... 10 on 10
A. T.
Great place to bring kids - they absolutely loved it, and it's one of the best water parks I've seen.
Only downside is that it was a little crowded, but that's to be expected in school holiday times. It was also a little expensive considering that car parking and lockers were charged on top of that.
A. B.
The staff are so helpful, we travelled 200miles and stayed over nite in a premier inn ready for our swim session the next morning.
We had forgotten our swim bag with all our towels costumes and toiletries in.
The staff helped us to find everything we needed with affordable shops near by and saving the day.
The facilities are clean safe andwell maintained and kept my 10year old twins entertained for 5hours.
10 flumes, wave pool, jaccuzi, Lilly pads, jungle treehouse with slides for little ones, family rainbow slide and river rapids.
Food and drink is what you would expect with vegan vegetarian and gluten free options.
The sharing platers are tasty and good value.
The milkshakes and ice creams delicious.
A great day out for the family.
A. O.
We had fun. Good place to entertain children. Not 5 stars because, people reserve sits with towels and go swimming, so if you order food there is no where to sit. Some siting area should be just for customers to eat and then leave the table free for next person. Management should look into it so the experience of looking for a table to eat doesn't effect the whole fun.
S. G.
Had such an amazing time at Waterworld yesterday! Such a great day out and I can't recommend it enough! There is so much to do, all the slides are amazing! The Cyclone slide in particular was my fave! The staff were all super friendly and professional, the whole area (changing rooms, pool area, canteen etc.) was incredibly clean and the water was being tested frequently.
We also did the adventure mini golf afterwards and had a really great time, loved the jungle theming!
Definately will be returning soon!
S. C.
Good choice of slides but no senior members of staff all very young teenagers in control over lots of members of the public! Several children fell over no one way routes etc seemed a free for all not very happy with covid procedures considering the amount of people. We travelled from Norfolk so seemed a bit of a disappointment
S. R.
Overly busy, even without covid restrictions. The last time we went it was £13 per person, now it is £20.
We had an 11am slot to go in but wasn't told before booking we only had till 2.30 and we had to leave. Was told if didn't hand locker key back by 3pm I would lose my £5 deposit.....and the water has been dyed yellow. Odd choice in my opinion. Kids enjoyed it, which of course
is the main thing
I.
Ok to start yes the water is green. But does the place seem dirty and old NO.
Having read other reviews we started to regret booking to go here. But I have to say I'm very glad we did. We arrived at 10:00 for the 10:30 slot and were in on time. The staff outside were friendly and helpful and made sure everything was fair.
On entry the team were helpful and informative. Locker rooms and changing areas were big with plenty of lockers.
Once in the park it's massive loads of great slide for all ages. At no point did we feel that people were on top of each other.
You had quite a long wait for the water coaster slide but that's to be expected. But all other great slide had queues of less than 10 mins which was great for the kids. The biggest bonus was that my little one could ride on our knee so he got to enjoy the slides aswell.
We will definitely be going back soon as great family morning out.
S. S.
Very disorganised as was in queue for 11am session and we ended up going in at 11:30 so got soaked in the rain outside. Need to invest in actual shower cubicles like every other water park abroad. Long queues for every ride as seemed like the place was over filled, surprising considering its during a pandemic. On a brighter note the kids loved it.
J. Y.
Great fun for all the family. Great place to build up confidence in the water. They also have a brilliant selection of slides.
T. B.
Great day out. After reading the reviews I was expecting to be dissapointed. Yes there was queues and the water is green but who cares. A good place is not going to be empty. The site guaranteed 3 hours in the water and we got it. We didn't manage to go on everything however we chose to ride some slides twice. Kids loved it, adults loved it. Don't let the negatrons put you off.
G. R.
Absolutely amazing place. Even non swimmers can have the greatest time there.
N. M.
Fully enjoyed plenty for the kids to do... serve food in swimming pool area so can still be part of the atmosphere... food is also lovely had a lovely time with my 2 nephews
D. H.
Excellent place to take the kids, hours of fun, loads of slides for all ages, highly recommended..
k. b. K.
It's a great place for a day out with the kids or not! Fun water activities alongside just chilling in the pool. There is a good area. Showers available, lockers to keep your things safe. Only thing I would say this no photos or filming allowed. It's a shame as many people want to record their day out. Also another set of toilets would be ideal, one on each side of the complex. Otherwise a really great day out. Totally exhausted afterwards.
r. g.
So much fun for children. Clean, not over crowded.
E. B.
Fantastic day out. Was much busier than I thought it would be but the procedures in place were great. Could have done with more than one person on the drinks/dessert counter as it did take a long time to get served. But a great day and can't wait to go back
I. “. W.
First time visit, very dated, laud ,lack of fresh air inside, pricey for what is offer, whole building looks like need proper updates, bravo for gluten free and vegan options what is brill for food allergies ,staff very friendly,in my opinion hard working, cleaning staff visible all the time, still think we should learn from Spanish or German water parks.Great idea with lockers. Our 7year old girl like trip to waterpark but all of us felt discomfort because of high noise-what is unfortunately issue of materials what owner choose to build walls and roof.We saw building area at the side so we believe new slides will be opened soon. Will be great when improved and when all attraction will be redone.
H.
All the slides are really good especially the new ones. The outside area is really nice in summer. Only thing is you can't really hear what they're saying on the speakers so no one hears there colour band get called out and it can get very busy in there. Definitely reccomend though. You will only be waiting a few minutes for some slides while the two best you could be waiting for like 20 mins- half an hour.
K. D.
We had a brilliant time 3 kids of different ages we went sure if the youngest one would beable to go on anything but found she could go on lots. Adults and kids had a great time. Only problem we had was keeping an eye on all 3 when they decided to go off as there were so many people in there.
C. C.
Pricey at £25 each including kids and food expensive but good fun.
T. W.
Fantastic day with the kids. My 1 year old and 6 year old had a brilliant time. The entire venue was very clean throughout. The staff were helpful and polite. The attractions were better than expected and well maintained. It was not overly busy due to covid restrictions so felt very safe within the venue. We had lunch at the poolside cafe which was also lovely. Defo worth the money. Thank you! We will be back!
O. H.
It's OK, kids had a great time which is the most important thing. We went for the 12:00 slot and there was a queue but we were in quickly. No idea why people are complaining about queuing for 30 mins to get in unless they are arriving too early? Our last visit was 5 years ago and the prices have increased, why charge for parking? I hate it when businesses feel like they have to milk every last penny from you! The place is busy and you will queue for the slides, and because we went during the 6 weeks holiday this was expected, we didn't get to go on all of the slides but the ones we did go on were enjoyable. I do think they do need to review the number of people that are allowed for a time slot, the facilities cannot cope with the amount of people. I don't understand why people are complaining about social distancing. If you are so worried about COVID, why come to a place where social distancing will be near impossible! We didn't have food here so cannot comment on that. The water is a funky colour but we didn't worry about it and seems that there are no ill effects as yet. As I mentioned my kids enjoyed it, the 3 stars are because the prices have gone up (since my last visit there are more slides), numbers of people per session is needed to be reviewed, better queue management is needed (staff managing the queues seemed unprepared for the number of people), charging for parking is not on. If you are going to pack people in like cattle, don't charge them for the privilege! Lockers are ok, we did see people having issues with getting them to lock, we were lucky and got a working one straight away, the charge for the lockers is a bit steep, ok you get you £5.00 deposit back but £2.50 to hire a locker...really? You charge people to enter, to park and employ a new high tech locker system and charge all the way. Why not include it as part of the entrance fee? It's been a tough time for a lot of people just think about that before you start pricing people out of a visit.
J. D.
Went today with my 2x teenage sons haven’t been before. Pre booked online and arrived shortly after 10. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. It didn’t take too long to get on slides at the start but as the day progressed waiting times got longer as park filled up, to be expected in the summer! I was somewhat concerned at some of the negative and rather miserable reviews I have read. Yes the water has a green tinge this has been explained, it did not feel unclean at all. As for COVID staff were policing the one way system. Yes it got busy but I felt quite normal for the 1st time in a long time. Wear a mask and spend the rest of your days cowering under your bed if that works for you. I’m glad we went and thanks to the staff for making this an enjoyable day out.
S. G.
Had a great time this morning(20/8) with the kids, I nearly didn't go because of all the negative reviews recently, but we found it great, my 9 year old gave it 10/10. It was clean everywhere, we no complaints, the queues were as I would expect for a school holiday, but we didn't wait more than 10 mins, I've had worse at Center Parcs! Bit pricy maybe but isn't everything? I think people have forgotten what it's like to go out and about with other people, especially in the school holidays to a busy tourist attraction!! Don't be put off by the negativity.
K. S.
Very busy so long ques for the new slides but then it is school holidays so this is expected. New slides. Kids loved it but a full day needed if your to get on all slides. Water is a strange green colour!!!

The UK’s No.1 Tropical Aqua Park is based in the Heart of the Midlands. Water World is an epic adventure for the whole family to enjoy. A great day out in Staffordshire. Providing a range of thrill seeking rides from the Space Bowl to the Black Hole, there is something for everyone. Why not enjoy a relaxing day on a sun lounger on our beach, or enjoy the hot tub. Why not book a fantastic and thrilling Birthday party or corporate event at Water World. We cater for kids birthdays, juniors and even adult birthday party’s too. We also do private venue hire, or something a little different and all with a range of packages to suit. When you’re hungry, we have an excellent poolside restaurant for your convenience.
T. B.
Fantastic time with the grandkids, shame you only get 3 hours in the pool though.
D. R.
We travelled 5 hours to get to waterworld from Kent, for a few days getaway and the experience was great. You have to queue to get onto the water rides, but that goes for anything and realistically. They have reduced capacity voluntarily at a cost to there own profits. The water slides were absolutely fantastic, we throughly enjoyed everything. The water is green, but as clearly explained by the owner, its due to them using borehole water. If anything it only added to the exotic environment. We arrived 1 hour late due to an accident, they got us in immediately and gave us the hour back for free. Over the moon with that.
The only gripe we have is the god awful food. For the love of God, don't eat here. Get a sandwich from Subway next door.
If you want a drink and food, you have to queue for the drink, then queue again to get the food separately... They had no salad for my jacket potato, not a problem as they gave free chips as a replacement, however it all arrived stone cold, cheese wasn't even melted, and quite honestly was the worst food I've ever ordered. I'm sorry, but that's the honest truth. The water park is fantastic, you won't be disappointed, but the food needs a serious review. The biscoff drink and waffle was okay though, as my partners told me.
L. G.
green water dunno why some are saying it's been dyed, some are saying it's dirty. went today and it was absolutely PACKED. huge queues for slides and many people coughing. no social distancing and barely and changing rooms available. this is disappointing and disappointing with covid around. should have reduced numbers. other than that it was okay. busy
A. B.
Great day at water world. Was a little disappointed with a few staff members regarding the rubber rings. We were told after queuing for a good 20 mins that 2 adults couldn't go in a double ring. I'd say our max Weight was 120kg & I've also seen a strong man on YT and his mate go on one.. So a bit confusing. Overall though very good day and great value for money.
M. O.
This place is amazing!!!! So many exciting slides to choose from with small queues. Also, the staff are super friendly and helpful which made the experience even better. Easily one of the best water parks in the UK.
V.
This place is really fun and the slides are super fun to go on. Nice day out. The staff are also professional and also super kind, however, the only thing that I can knock it down for is the lines. It takes a good 15-30 minutes just to get inside the building and it takes sometimes up to 10 minutes for one slide. My advise is to get there as soon as possible to get on the slides quicker as there will be less people to wait for.
S. H.
*Quiet on a Friday evening
*Fun flumes with a variety of different kinds
*Friendly staff
*Warm enough, except in the loos, brr!
*Yellow water is an odd one
*Clean
*Just a tiny bit tired and some of the flumes a little slow in places
*Plenty of fun had by the adults and 3 year old alike!
E. M.
the water slides were great and nothing bad seemed to happen but when it came to the food we ordered an edge platter and they missed 4 chicken nuggets and 2 onion rings. the chicken nuggets we had weren’t great and they were chewy. i would recommend coming for a family trip but going somewhere else for the food.
F. M.
Great time with family. Love it we will go back soon.
J.
We got the family of 4 ticket. The place really is amazing. They have loads of lockers and they have facilities for the disabled in the changing area. You are guaranteed atleast 3 hours in ur session when it is busy, but if its not busy, you are can stay as long as you like. When we went, we really enjoyed it. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and jacuzzi, the family race slide, we did want to ride the yellow one with rings but the queue for the rings at the other side of the building was too long. They need more rings. The rapids are the best i have ever been on. They go really fast! The family of 4 ticket was £78 so its alright for 3 hours. They recently revamped it so there are loads of rides. There are rides for thrill seekers and rides for kids. The waves in the main pool happen every 10 or 20 mins i think but when you hear the wave alarm that means they are starting. The waves go up to 1.4m high so they are exteremely fun. They have a food area inside the actual park area which is nice. My family always enjoy swimming anyway so this was amazing. They have a subway at the exit and entrance if you are hungry while leaving and freindly pool attendants and lifeguards. Overall there isnt much to fault and i give it a full 5 stars. Although outside there was a queue before we went in, it went down in no time and the security gaurd was freindly and funny. I recommend this place for everyone. We went to nandos after which is just down the road. They have a frankie and bennies, a mcdonalds, a kfc and a pizza hut right next to it so loads of selection. Swimming makes u hungry!
S. G.
Long queues to get in, even though we had pre-booked and paid on line.
Also long queues for all the popular rides.
Food and drink is very overpriced.
Car park machines don't accept cards, ensure you have cash available.
There are machines inside Waterworld, but I am unsure as to whether they take cards or not.
L. W.
We went at during an off-peak session and it was great - no queues for the slides at all. There are some things to be aware of, like paying for the parking; another company runs the car park and they are not diligent about maintaining the ticketing machines (only one was working when I was there and other reviews indicate the same thing) so you have to hunt for a working one.
There are loads of things to do from the very young to much older and a roller coaster water slide is quite a thing. One star dropped on this because cleanliness isn't as good as it could be. Underneath the toddler slides I could see a lot of accumulated detritis; grit, sand and the sort of stuff that sinks to the bottom of the pool. Also some of the tables at the food area were covered in a film of grease. That was the only negative point about the place though and overall I'd rate it as worth at least a couple of hours of anyone's time.
G. L.
Was great got there for opening time, got in around 10.20 and was able to get on mosf of the rides before the queues. One way system in place made it difficult to get access to certain parts but this was to be expected not that everyone was using the one way system.
Good variety of water rides and mini pools for little ones.
This is mainly for older ones though as height restrictions are in place so i wouldnt say it was suitable for 2 and 3 years.
Starts to get very busy after an hour and the queues are ridiculous and isnt worth waiting in them. But overall i would say its a good day out. I was there 2 hours.
When i paid aswell for the waterworld for 2 adults we got 2 FREE tickets to the adventures golf next door.
L. R.
It was an amazing experience! Slightly expensive for food, but it's understandable how much tickets are... My little sister had such a fun time, there is so much to do for any age 😁
B. B.
I'd say this is expensive for children as I didn't get any money back as stated on the website for her as she's under a certain height. Also the water was very green and the side of the pool looked like it needed a good scrub.
A. G.
Amazing 🤩🤩Their water slides are really exciting and I really like this place and I have good memories☺️☺️
S. N.
Nice to see a place like this in the UK. Really had a great time. Nothing much for my 2 year old to do. But 5,7 and 8 year old enjoyed it a lot. Worth every penny. We will be back very soon!
A. O.
Looked at the reviews before i went and tbh i was dreading it.
Yes it was way over crowded ans queues at 3 pm were long. However i found the place clean. The burger i got was the wrong one and very stale but the cafe gave me a refund with no hassle. The rest of the fiid was nice buy expensive.
I also had problems with my locker which took ove half an hr to sort but when i asked they gave me an eytra half hr in the pool.
The staff were lovely and me and my 10 yr old both had fun.
J. L.
Great family day out, we arrived 11 o'clock without pre-booking, a short wait, very friendly and professional staff, great fun for both kids and adults. At times long waits at the rides which could be improved but it is holiday season and to be expected. Definitely worth it!
M. A.
Would have been 5 but didn’t seem as clean as has in the past…. Green water is a bit off putting
Y. H.
My daughter and her bf had such a great time here!!!!
D. T.
We all love it. Brilliant place to spend time with the family in the winter.
C. S.
Really great! for the price we got 3.5 hours in there, which gives you plenty of time to try out all the slides. Would go again as our 6 year old wants to go again.
C. R.
A lot of fun can be had here, good one way system in place, water seemed cold and a yellow colour the building is starting to look a little run down and in need of some TLC
E. R.
We had a great time but there are some issues there therefore I only gave 4 stars.
1. Slide rings you can only collect at the end of ride but there aren't any signs to indicate where are these locations so you spend some of your precious time to find these locations.
2. I would suggest them to put some pictures with the slide names otherwise you see signs where are all start point of the slide but if you haven't learn those names with video by heart in their website you won't have an idea which slide is the one you would like and which not.
3. Definitely eat before Waterworld and take some drinks to your locker otherwise you will spend a lot of time for long queues to buy all that better use that time for ride queues 😉
4. Speaker sound quality is very bad so when they announce the time is over...you can't really understand a thing
5. When you finish everything and you need to give back bracelets be ready to stand again in the queue.
T. D.
I can't understand the bad reviews. The water is "green" because of a reason, not because its dirty or unhygienic. On monday (no peak-time) the waterpark was almost empty, we never waited in queues because all slides were empty. Everything was usable though some slides open at different times. I would highly recommend this waterpark. :)
S. M.
Waterworld parking £3.50
Wave Coventry - free
Waterworld lockers - £2.50
Wave Coventry - free
Waterworld entry - £20
Wave Coventry - £15
More slides at Waterworld but the place is tired and old. Wave is newer, cleaner, better value and has some great slides.
S. A.
Kids love this water park. Visited several times over the years. Always book first slot available, get on with the rides and then enjoy the rest of the time just being in and out having fun on other activities.
D. B.
Some great new slides. Some long queues let the place down. It took 45 minutes to get on one ride. To be fair the rest of the rides only had small queues.
I would go again but I would avoid the weekends.
S. H.
Brilliant place took the family and we all had a amazing day
C. W.
Great place and more slides/flumes and things to put a smile on your face than you can shake a stick at 😁 very friendly staff and security checking you in and very efficient 👍 I took my 6 year old and we both loved it but tbh I think that the perfect age for kids is probably 8 and older as by then they've developed a little bravado and although my 6 Yr old was tall enough for all the attractions she was a tad scared 😂😂😂 highly recommend this venue and if you can smash all on offer it's cheap too......just to add I'd recommend booking the 10am slot as it was heaving around lunch time 💥💥
P. W.
Very busy. You have only 3 hours to enjoy yourself. Unfortunately ques are very long and you waste 20-30 minutes. Especially for nice slides. ticket is quite expensive and at top of that you have to pay for parking and locker. I don't think is good value for money.
T. G.
Still one of the highlights of SoT for me. My 2 year old son absolutely loves it. Staff are lovely and the attractions are fun. The facilities are up to scratch, it's warm inside with decent food choices. However, it does feel like the water needs freshening up and the rides need a general tidy.
P. M.
Great fun for all family, a lot for everyone, good food and very clean place. Only, a long time of waiting for some attraction. I will definitely be back soon there.
S. O.
Great place for family fun, however had to knock a star off for the HUGE queuing to get in (even with prepaid tickets), then the huge queues to get on the rides (some take 30-40mins each) and then you only get 3 hours inside too. Doesn't really justify the £78 for a family of 4 when you only get time for 3-4 slides and a quick dip with the waves? 🤷♀️
k. o.
Went with my family today and we have had an awesome time, one of the best waterparks we have been too. Lots to do for all the family.... Big kids entertained with plenty of big thrill slides to go on age 11 and 14 and my little un who is 4 had plenty to do in the kids area with play area, small slides etc.
The outdoor pool was a pleasant surprise and something we all enjoyed including the jacuzzi circle.
There a queues for some of the slides and my daughter was a bit disappointed she waited over an hour to get on the slide that drops you(can't remember the name) but she did really enjoy it.
The food is pricey but again we really enjoyed it we got a platter at £15 and for a drink each (5 of us) it was like another £15 so £30 in total for a snack and drink. Your own food can't be taken in.
Plenty of room in the changing rooms and unisex so we didn't have to split as a family which I really liked.
Suprised at how busy it was considering numbers are limited due to covid, we wouldn't like to know what it's like when there isn't a restriction in place and it was plenty busy enough today.
The signs are a little misleading as it says must me 1.1m to ride but some rides for those under that can be rode with adults better signage for this would of been better.
Was really nice to see staff members challenge the height and swimming ability of other users. For the river rapids kids were asked to show that they could swim if they couldn't they were told they couldn't go on.
The same for a ride were a child wasn't tall enough. (think it was for the hurricane) he was calm and polite whilst explaining she couldn't go on even though the parent wasn't happy at all.
I spoke to several staff throughout the day who were all really helpful
We will definately back for another visit
Thank you for an awesome day

Really poor service for food, lack of signage for directions inside and the water is green. This is because it comes from a natural spring but it looks bad. Considering time restrictions etc this is not good value for money and feels like its surviving due to lack of competition. Rides are fun though.

One of the best water rides in West Midlands. Super fun for adults and kids. First time there but you know what am definitely going again.
There is spacious car park (payable at the spot), restaurants like Chinese, subways and few others.

My son and I went on the opening day today and could not find fault with anything. The "Thunderbolt" is awsome. We managed to do all the water slides. The staff were amazing keeping us all safe and making sure we followed the one way system. I enjoyed the fact that it was time slotted and it ment it was not to busy. On leaving we agreed we would definitely come back. Thank you to all the lifeguards and staff.🥰

Scoring down mainly for being highly over crowded even during 'covid' times where they are meant to maintain limited sessions. I can't imagine what it was like during normal times. Spending most of your time queing up for rides and attractions. Swimming areas was that crowded that even when the waves were on they were shoving you into other around you, further about relaxing or swimming. Water seemed moody. Not sure why. Otherwise the facilities are nice. One suggestion would be to install soap dispensers by the showers, I hope owner or manager would agree that you can't wash the body properly with just water?

Visited waterworld today with my teenage boys, we were 2 hours late for our timeslot as some of my family members were stuck in traffic on M1.
The staff were really understanding. From the 2 gentleman on the door being really sympathetic and very funny to the young girl on the desk.
We finally experienced 3 hrs of none stop fun, definitely be visiting again.
Thank you waterworld, you made what was a nightmare start to the day a truly magical time for us all.

Took a family of four here today. Had a good time. Note for people going in Covid times... have to queue outside for a long time before you get into the building, which might not be pleasant if it's raining. Quite sure they could come up with a more efficient system for bag checking/ temperature checks too.
It was busy inside but not unbearable, although it that's reduced capacity due to covid I'd hate to see it full.
At £76 for a family of 4 with two younger kids it just tipped into rip off for me. Some more flexible pricing would be appreciated when guests can't enjoy all the slides. And having to pay on top for parking felt like taking the Mickey. Plus a refundable £5 to use a locker I'm sure generates plenty of extra income from people who forget to get the refund.
The attractions themselves are however excellent and well operated. It was generally clean and plenty of staff on hand.

It's just a super fun place to be with your family! Wait times for the slides aren't THAT long. A lot of people there though, be prepared for that.

Despite the unorganized waiting times, and the over-crowdedness, and the fact that one of the changing room cubicles lacked a door, and the showers inconsistency with height, warmth, and amount of time they'd last, and the fact it can be a pain to navigate, and the fact i'm pretty sure there was a fair bit of grime in the yellow slide, and the fact that i literally couldnt see anything in another of the slides, i enjoyed it overall. It's actually quite nice. Worth it, even just for the subway. Could certainly be better, but you can still enjoy it regardless, i did.

One of the best water parks I’ve been to, nice staff and food, shame that the green colour puts the water park vibe off. And the £7.50 price for the lockers is ridiculous, at least you get the refund though.

Has got decent changing area and open showers with hair dryer areas at the exit
Decent play area with variety of slides with varying water depth
Do check water depth before entering a slide.
There is an outdoor pool with bubble bath enclosure within the pool for relaxing in the sun

Previously gave this place a 5* review, but we visited this weekend and it’s like a different place. I expected to see reduced numbers of people and social distancing enforced, especially in the changing rooms. Had a shock seeing about 100 people bunches up together outside queuing to get in for the 2pm session but inside, it was absolutely heaving with people, like I’ve never seen it before. The place was so busy you literally couldn’t move.
They are clearly trying to pack as many people in as humanly possible.
People were constantly queueing down all the steps for the slides and in fairness, the steps had red stars spaced 2 metres apart where people are supposed to stand, but people being people, they were completely ignoring the markers and were stood right next to one another. I had to remind people on a couple of occasions to back off, when they were so close I could feel their skin touching me. No wonder the virus is letting rip again, as people are clueless.
As other people have mentioned, the car park charges are excessive and the place was that busy, there were no spaces unless you waited for people to leave.
On the plus side, the slides are still fantastic.
