A great day out with a professional guide.
David was our guide for a full day out birdwatching in the South Downs in early February and he did not disappoint. He took our group of three in his electric car around a few sites in Sussex. We got almost 100 species, a record for me in one day. There was a fair bit if walking involved to see that many. David's knowledge of birds, by sight and by call, is amazing. I can thoroughly recommend him as a guide. First class service.

Fabulous morning at Burton and Chingford ponds. David is an extremely knowledgeable and helpful guide. Heard/saw about 45 bird species in total and there were lots of highlights, including a couple of pairs of crested grebes, a tree creeper who we watching creeping up a couple of tree trunks, a pair of grey wagtails, buzzards and a sparrow hawk overhead and then the pair of bullfinches at the end of the walk. Would highly recommend.

Myself and my brother Rog spent a thoroughly engaging evening under the expert guidance of the extremely knowledgeable David, on a night ramble through the enchanting South Downs near Worthing.
David proved to be most generous with both his time and the sharing of his expertise and this proved invaluable when looking for species such as the glow worm, tawny owl, badger and hare in the half light of a classic summers evening.
David is a delightful fellow to spend time with and someone who obviously enjoys encouraging others to share in his passion for the natural world.
I can warmly recommend his walks as a fascinating way to explore the wonders of our surroundings.

Another wonderful wildlife adventure, this time a nocturnal foray on lovely and most productive Downland. Excellent sightings of all promised species ranging from Owls to Glow worms and Bats to Badgers on a glorious balmy evening. David is a delightful and determined leader and his immense local knowledge gives the very best chance of seeing your target species. I can't recommend South Downs Wildlife too highly.
My second highly enjoyable and rewarding adventure in David’s experienced and professional hands. Target species achieved on both occasions with some excellent bonus birds as well.
I am happy to recommend South Downs Wildlife unreservedly both in terms of results achieved, pleasure derived and value for money.

What a totally unforgettable experience. I took my parents as a nice opportunity to spend some quality time with them. I knew my dad would love it but didn't foresee the rest of us loving it that much. There can't be many more people more knowledgable than David nor humble. Every bird sighting came with a background story and interesting facts. We must have seen at least 50 different species! Thank you David that was brilliant and we can't wait to do it again, absolute legend.

Absolutely glorious couple of hours above Chantry Lane on the South Downs, identifying wild flowers, butterflies and insects. Matt was tremendously knowledgeable and enthusiastic, with an obvious passion for his subject. Great guy too. I would thoroughly recommend going along when he does this again; not to be missed.

Amazing day out and our guide Nick was brilliant ! We had a bespoke day that Nick had planned perfectly and we saw all and more of the birds and wildlife that were on the days agenda. He was hugely knowledgable and incredibly interesting getting us to see and hear the fabulous surroundings that we would definately have missed without his expert eyes and ears. We were kindly driven around for the day beginning in beautiful Arundel, to several great bird watching destinations, he even planned in a lovely lunch. He was more than happy to answer all of our questions and nothing was too much trouble. It was an exciting experience and a perfect day that we thoroughly enjoyed. I cant wait to revisit and cant recommend South Downs Wildlife highly enough. Thank you!! Mel and Adam

David and his team were first class. They were welcoming and polite and made everyone feel important.
The birding was great fun and we both really enjoyed the experience with David showing us that his listening skills took years of practice as he picked out most of the birds by call and identified them before the group even saw them!

I joined one of their Year List Booster birding days. It was advertised as aiming to see 100 species of birds from dawn til dusk, and that’s exactly what it delivered with 102 species either seen or heard during the day.
David proved an excellent guide & great company delivering some great views of often difficult to see species like Hawfinch, Firecrest, Barn & Tawny Owls, Woodcock & Long Tailed Duck. We even found time to twitch a rarity in a Little Bunting.
I would not hesitate to recommend them, and would certainly book with them again in the future.
