We (2 adults, 2 children) booked two private tours with Grand Yorkshire during our recent trip to England. First, we enjoyed a day trip from York to Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and the North York Moors. Then a few days later we had a transfer tour from York to our accommodations in the Lake District. Both tours were with Pete as our guide and we couldn't have asked for better service. Pete was on time to pick us up and gave us an overview of our day before we left. He emphasized that this was our tour and he would be happy to make any adjustments if we wanted, but we were happy to let him lead the way. In addition to the planned stops, he took us to some amazing off the beaten path spots and often we were the only people there to enjoy the views. His knowledge of the area was extraordinary and my kids especially enjoyed learning all of the interesting tidbits of history he provided. We mentioned that we would be coming back to the area in the next few years and Pete gave us a list of the "must dos" for next time. We will absolutely use Grand Yorkshire again and highly recommend their private tour services. Pre-tour communication was also excellent.

Our group of 6 engaged Grand Yorkshire to provide a private transfer tour from York, UK to Edinburgh in May 2022. We had toured with Chris Magee earlier in the week in the Yorkshire Dales. Chris gave us several options to create our own private tour, which was just wonderful. Along with traversing the moors, we visited Whitby, Alnwick Castle and Bamburgh Castle before being dropped at our door in Edinburgh. He narrated along the way and was just a delightful guide and driver. This was the perfect way to travel from York to our next stop in Edinburgh...so much better than a direct transfer by train, bus or air! Our group agreed that this tour was a major highlight of our 5 weeks in the U.K. and that there was nothing that our guide could have done better. Highly recommended!!!
