J. H.Great walking Harry Potter style show taking you around York and all it has to offer. The Wizard is hilarious, great for kids and he chucks in a load of really bad dad type jokes for the adults, guaranteed to get the kids laughing and the adults groaning!
The tricks that he does at each stop are cheesy and brilliant, the kids (and me) were truly amazed by how he did them!
He also does special birthday messages and walks too, there was a kid who had a birthday and he made a great fuss over him.
We had a great time, lots of laughs, saw a load of tricks, we loved the Wizard!
Can't recommend this enough, me and the kids will be going again!

M. V.Good Value. Wizarding pantomime for kids up to 10yo or so, loud voice, clever, patient, good answers for silly kids' questions, mostly in control of what could be a crazy event. Kids loved it. Buy the wand kit, they all had it and waving those things around added to the fun as he went. It also meant we didn't need to spend a fortune buying a Harry Potter on in the Shambles store.

The wizard definitely knew how to hold everyone's attention. He seemed very nice and kind as well as he was really good with children. His costume was awesome too. The walk was very dynamic and didn't let the children and their parents to get bored.

I loved that there was a walk for children as my son loves learning but I think an adult tour would of been a bit much! As we strolled through the streets and alleyways of York, the Wizard told jokes, performed magic tricks and generally kept everyone, adults and children alike, amused.

The wand kits are fantastic for involving the children and a great way to keep the excitement going at home.

We were on a walk with a birthday party and the birthday girl had such a fun time being involved in some of the magic tricks. Such a worthwhile and entertaining activity to do in York.

Street theatre at its very very best. We laughed ( actually belly laughed ) our way around beautiful York with the Wizard. Wonderous magic tricks - seriously how does he do it?! Really hilarious quips and jokes. I noticed the Wizard held the children's concentration right the way through. Equally enjoyed by adults and children alike. York provides the perfect stage for this wonderful Street theatre. A must do when in York.

The Wizard of York is captivating and held the attention of all the children throughout the walk with clever improvisation and jokes galore. We made a booking for the Monday and the lovely Wizard emailed and let us know we were the only ones booked on and if we minded, as well as then offering a really personalised experience for my son. From the minute we spoke to, and then met the Wizard he was brilliant, his jokes, his character, everything was great. We were laughing our heads off throughout the tour and my son was in awe of him! We learnt so much about beautiful York and in such a fun engaging way. We all thoroughly enjoyed every minute and my 5 year old was chatting excitedly about it all the way back (3 hours away!). So much fun and involving all of us so something for everyone. Would really recommend it and what a way to explore york!! We also took our little pooch Luna with us and he was even brilliant with her. BOOK TO DO THIS you wont regret it!! Worth every penny and more!

She was shy to start with but then got fully involved as he is so much fun and really interactive with kids and parents. Will not be surprised if we end up doing this again.

The Wizard is brilliant - great close-hand magic, and hilarious jokes; brilliantly pitched, something for everyone, even the adults. Really funny guy! My wife and I were laughing at some of the more grown-up jokes as much as the kids were laughing at the more obvious ones. A thoroughly entertaining hour! He delivers it all really well, everyone's included as much as they want to be, and he really takes care of his audience. He's clearly a professional. We'll be taking the extended family when they next come up. Can't recommend him more highly - he's the best value entertainment in York.

L. H.It's rare you get a kids attraction that really does cater to everyone, but the Wizard of York absolutely nailed it.
Both my 6 and 2 year old were entirely hooked, from the moment they laid eyes on him.
He's charming, funny and the level of humour is perfect for kids to understand, and for parents to have a real titter!
There's even daft tricks for toddlers to find funny without the need to understand a joke.
Couldn't recommend him highly enough, our son is already asking when we can do it again.
p.s. Buy the wand kit. The magic tricks within it are easy to do yet look fab.

S. T.We were lucky enough to experience the magical Wizard Walk of York as part of a birthday party group. Adults and children alike, as well as interested bystanders, had a brilliant time with lots of laughs, oohs and aaahhs! It doesn't really feel like a walk, more like following adventures, and time really flew. Although, of course, the birthday boy was given due attention, the Wizard ensured all children were included, and some mysteries required a group effort. We saw corners of York we hadn't really noticed before . The Wizard kept a group of 8 year olds absolutely spellbound, and is incredibly sensitive to each and every individual child's need, happy to accommodate adjustments if needed, e.g. loud noises, fear of certain bugs, too much change, etc.
My son who really struggles with big groups and feels easily overwhelmed by 'too much activity' thoroughly enjoyed it, and so did I. Highly recommend!

From the easy to use and professional booking system, by way of the whimsical wand kits, through to the final expertly posed photo op, the whole experience has been so meticulously planned and stylishly executed it's hard to believe the wizard only donned his cloak for the first time earlier this year.
Tremendous value for money, especially as the whole family is practically guaranteed to leave with a smile on their face.
My nine year old says: I loved the jokes! It's not just for kids but for adults too, and I hope it goes on for many more years. Just when you think you've figured out how the trick works he does something that makes your answer impossible!

J. E.Ever been entranced while on a walk with a wizard around an historical city before? Neither had we, but this is exactly what happened to us when we went on the Wizard Walk of York. A mixture of quick wit, up close magic, silliness and fun meant that my two kids (aged 7 and 10) smiled and giggled their way around the walk, and the littlest participant in our tour group shrieked, pointed and goggled at the tricks on show. We had a lovely stroll, went to parts of York we’d never been to before (and found a nice looking ice cream place for our next visit) and learnt a few tidbits of information along the way. This is NOT a tour of York - it’s a fantastic hour of fun and magic, with a lot of clever jokes aimed at the grown ups too. We loved it.
