I am most impressed with the Academy and is a fantastic opportunity for my child. My child is happy here and is excelling better that he was at his old school, plus he has an opportunity to gain a qualification in engineering which is a career that he wants to pursue. The staff are brilliant and the Head Teacher is very passionate about his school and his students that is plain to see!! I am really pleased with his learning especially everyday life skills like finance etc. this teaches my child what the real world is about. We are happy that my child attends here and he is too.

Top Sixth form, fantastic for A Levels, BTEC qualifications, as well as Engineering. Very nice diverse environment, friendly staff and teachers. Professionally developed building & infrastructure as well as resources. Highly recommend.

Excellent school with great facilities and kind and supporting staff. Since joining the academy i have always felt nothing but comfortable and the level of extra support they give is incredible. I have excelled numerous lessons and hit above targets with the support my teachers give. I cannot reccomend my academy enough!

This school is excellent. We moved our child to this school in year10 from a private school where he was (a) being bullied (b) not being well taught. Aston University Engineering Academy has been a revelation. Our child feels safe at the school, has developed a very supportive friendship group, is growing as a person and no longer retreating into a shell.
His learning, which went backwards at the previous school, has flourished and he has become an assiduous student, taking rsponsibility for his own learning. He now excels in some areas that we never thought he would get to grips with.
The school provides clear information and advice, is exceptionally well run and everyone knows where they stand. During this turbulent time, with the virus, cancellation of exams etc, the Head has worked tirelessly with his team to keep parents and children updated. The head is very proactive and is well respected by the pupils. This is a total contrast to the previous school. I would encourage anyone thinking about AUEA to not hesitate.

It’s a great place to be a small school that makes you feel like you belong. You are encouraged by staff and the pastoral team to do the best you can and overcome obstacles. It’s the best place to start your engineering career. The school gives you a real insight into engineering and science and provides you with opportunities to gain valuable work experience with some of the leading organisations in the country. I have had some of the greatest teachers and pastoral leaders at this academy since year 10 and four years on with their support I have secured a degree apprenticeship.

As a student that is currently studying at the sixth form, I feel like students are given a lot of opportunities that not a lot of sixth forms provide this especially with being a girl who is studying engineering. I have been able to work with companies within the engineering industry helping me with what i would like to do in the future. The course i am taking currently is something i am grateful of as it opens up many options within engineering.
Another thing i appreciate is the teachers and how they create relationships with their students making them feel more welcoming. They make us feel like adults giving us responsibility. For me there is a teacher i feel like i can go to and speak to as she has created that relationship with her students and myself, which i appreciate.

Brilliant school that helped me and many of my peers gain the best possible grade for GCSE and A Level/BTEC!! Creds to Mr Tariq and Mr Twigg for being the most Helpful in these last 2 years!!

Good teaching staff with excellent facilities, this school really helped bring my grade up from E/D to B's in my gcse. In my A levels I immediately struggled in my transition but the teaching staff helped me so much the I feel like I'm going to be doing good. The only downside is that I wish there were more/better trips because I don't like the trip to a beach.

It was the best decision for my child I ever made. They understand him, they help him and push him in the right way. I know where what lesson he has, if he got there on time, and if he has good or bad feedbad. The only thing I would say is I wish teachers would stick around longer and give the school a chance as I think it could be something great!. I have every faith in the future this school can be outstanding. If it wasn't for this school my son wouldn't have the support or grades he can get now. I willingly pulled him out of our local school to travel at 7am. But i feel its worth it. My son will go on to college and make something of his life and partly that was down to auea

As a parent, my daughter has left the Academy and has been successful in her application to her apprenticeship. Without the staff and their help, she would have been a typical student and not entering a field that she loves. I really don't understand the negative comments as their destinations for students are fantastic.

I currently study maths, physics and chemistry in my first year of AS. The teachers are unique because they chase us up whereas other school teachers don't, especially at AS Level. I would highly recommend this school because subjects are made fun as well as easy. My friends have also said the engineering course is a fantastic pathway into an engineers career. The people are friendly and the teachers are helpful. Would highly recommend!

I've always found the academy top notch, yes, there are pro's and con's to this academy but there are wherever or at whatever school you or your child attends.
Teaching staff in the main are of a good standard and most make the time to keep parents informed and up to date with current levels throughout the school year.
The principle (Daniel Locke-Wheaton) is extremely committed to the school and pupils, I've always found him to be approachable and he actually listens to what he's being told !! He has always gone "the extra mile" to help wherever he could.
Overall a highly committed school where if your child puts in the effort, they will achieve with the schools help.

This is a fantastic academy which really focuses on preparing learners for their next steps. We need more academies like this who work with employers closely to ensure their learners have the skills they need to succeed
