I have spent amazing 4 years in there as Hospitality with Events Management student. I also worked as Student Ambassador. The facilities are amazing - there are a lot of different cafes to get food from and very cheap, indeed. The sessions are very practicle, I also gain an opportunity to conduct 1 year paid placement abroad. Hired helped me a lot with my CV, interviews and visas. There are 3 Campus at the moment with a lot international students. There is also opportunity to live in two student accommodation areas really close to the Uni.

After a 10 year break from work to be a stay at home parent and homemaker my initial experience with UCB at my interview has been exceptional. Both JJ and Jane, as well as everyone else I met, made me feel so welcome and were supportive in their words and actions.This has made be feel without a shadow of a doubt that I have made the right decision and am looking forward to starting my course in September 2019. I would strongly recommend UCB to any student wishing to pursue education in Hospitality, Tourism, Events Management and Sports. The university, by all means, is one of the best institutes in the world for industry education. It's focus and emphasis on academics and work placements speaks for it's success for over a 130 years now. The wide range of both, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees offered at UCB defines the university's focus on providing high-class, specialised education in Europe.

Hi UCB, I don’t normally leave reviews but on this occasion I thought I would take the time to write one, it’s the least I could do. After a long history suffering from Cyclothymia (a mild form of mental health which does not require a need for mental health treatment) and truly feeling I was not an integral part of society, I was as some people would call it a itinerant a lost soul maybe with no direction. I had the drive, bags of it and plenty of enthusiasm but still no direction and focus. I managed to finally push myself to enrol at UCB this to me was my last saloon in life as my Cyclothymia was getting more and more unmanageable unless I resorted to medication. Initially when I first started I was overwhelmed at the sheer professionalism of the whole Institution and how everyone conducted them-selves but the overwhelmedness soon disappeared as I was treated like I was part of a really big family. I felt comfortable enough to confide in a few members of staff about my condition who totally supported me knowing full well they didn’t truly have an in-depth understanding of my condition but just knowing I could email them or speak to them was a relief, that support mechanism for me was unreal, I wouldn’t even get anything remotely like that from the hospitals I’ve attended never mind business school lecturers. After my first year I had achieved going abroad which I’ve never done that on my own before, I’ve gained friends for life and I genuinely believe that if this wasn’t for UCB I don’t know where I would be now, they give you the focus, the skills needed and opportunity to grow as an individual I barely recognise myself now. I’m in the midst of completing my 2nd year and once I graduate I’m planning to open my own business. Just shows you that sometimes you just need the right environment and the right set of people around you to give you the correct guidance and education to help evolve you as a person and I truly believe UCB has done that for me, so I would like to say thank you to the Dean of the Business School down to the Cafe staff who served me every day god bless you for giving me another chance and Merry Christmas. Students: the majority (not all!) at this insitution for my course dislike learning and don't value education. An unconducive environment to be in when this is going on. If you ask several questions in class, you will hear a mutter in the classroom along the lines of 'bloody hell, not again!' This attitude of students alone wants to make you cry! Loses a star. Lecturers: you get a mixed bunch. Some know how to teach, while others will droll on from powerpoint presentations which will want to make you listen to Mozart music instead. Other modules that are taught here are ridiculously primitive, and I mean you get this stuff taught in Secondary and High School. Loses a star. That said, there are those lecturers (very few) who know how to really teach (shout out to Jo Lyons), and others who do seem to genuinely care about your progress (David Beere), and for that I'm very grateful. Gains four stars. On balance, I would recommend this institution, but I hope further improvements are made...

Staff are friendly both times I went for days lookin around the college I loved it friendly people and nice and helpful in all 3 days u went easy to get to on bus 😊😊 alot more helpful as the staff lift can be used and I can get a lift pass to get to lessons when I start in September all in all I recommend this college for all
