Choosing Duresume Court as my accommodation was the most correct decision. It is a place with excellent and satisfying facilities. The most important thing is that all the staff here are pretty friendly and hospitable. They are willing to help us solve any problems in life.
I strongly recommend you to move into Duresume Court Durham!!!!!

Everything from the location, the staff, the facilities and the people are ideal for a student attending university. The rooms are comfortable and well designed, the place is secure and safe and facilities such as the gym, the common room and cinema room are easily accessible for everybody. The location is such that you're close enough to the city centre so you can enjoy the 'wildlife' when you want to but won't get overwhelmed by it. The whole place is extremely cosy but what ties it together is the amazing stuff who help and make your life easier whenever and however they can. 100% would recommend - no better place in Durham.

great accommodation!
-nice and spacious room with a big window
-excellent facilities: cinema room, study rooms, games room, communal kitchen, gym
-superb and very friendly management team: big thank you to EMMA, STEVE, DIONNE & DEBRA
-great maintenance, clean and tidy
-Sainsbury's Local is just 5 minutes away and Durham University Business School is 15-18 mins by foot
Love this place!

I love DC! In addition to the simple and bright room design, the most important thing is that the reception staff are super awesome. They not only provide property services, but also hold small activities in reception from time to time, providing all kinds of food and souvenirs. When I am vulnerable, they will chat with me and give me spiritual support, which is the best reception I have ever met!
It's also very close to the business school, so it's easy to get to the city center or other places, and there's a Sainsbury's nearby that's a ten minute walk away.Amenities are plentiful, too. You can watch movies with friends in the movie room, and there is also a communal kitchen where you can gather.

Lovely staff, atmosphere and people. Rooms are extremely comfortable and well kept, people are always happy to help and an overall welcoming environment. Extremely recommended for students coming to study in Durham.

Accommodation is my priority when it comes to studying abroad, and needless to say staying in Duresme Court is one of the best decision I have ever made and I promise you will not regret it too. Very helpful and friendly staff, regular maintenance and check-ups, convenient location and transport, cleanliness and security…just everything you expect from a student accommodation.

Dureseme Court will always hold a special place in my heart. Since the day I moved here in 2021all my experiences have been positive. The area is very quiet and surrounded by natural beauty a perfect environment for studying furthermore, the wifi broadband is very strong and stable. There is also a gym if you are into fitness, a communal kitchen, and a beautiful cinema room. In terms of the staff, they are the nicest, kindest, sweetest people ever after a while they automatically become family. Meanwhile, the rooms vary based on the tenant's preference. I have stayed in the Classic and Delux studios the classic was quite cozy while the Delux is spacious and has a different layout. To sum everything up, Duresme court is my home away from home and the only rating that it is getting from me is a solid five stars

Very comfortable student living. The best reception. Beautiful view.
Dionne, Emma and Steve are already willing to help us. They are really sweet and kind.
And I always enjoy the view from my room and the sunshine.

It’s perfect here! The facilities is all new and even we live in studio, we still got cinema room and big shared kitchen here, which is really nice. And the staff here is very very kind, always help us to solve all the problems. Compare to colleges’ student accommodation, Duresme Court is much cheaper and worth for it! !!

I have stayed in different student accommodations across UK in the past few years, I can definitely say Duresme court is the best one among them. Staff here are so nice and they do care about all the students living here. They try their best to maintain a good atmosphere here. They decorate the sitting room and give out gifts to everyone on holidays. Also, they keep everyone’s parcel safely and will help you whenever in need. I went back home on Easter and they helped me take care of my small lemon tree, watering it and making it even better than before. The price may be relatively higher than other accommodations but it’s worth it!

Incredible accommodation that truly sets the standard for student living in Durham. Highly recommend Duresme Court for anyone looking for a homely, secure and vibrant place to spend their university days. The staff and facilities exceed what is offered elsewhere in Durham, confirming that one has chosen the most wonderful place to spend one's student days.

I’ve been living in Duresme Court for 3 years now and the experience is incredible. The team in reception always make me feel so welcome, very bubbly and helpful when I get myself into any trouble. Steve, my Lord and Saviour handles any maintenance issues I encounter with a smile on his face which makes me less guilty about hassling him.
The social spaces (common rooms, cinema room, games room etc.) are perfect to simply relax and catch up with friends. I definitely spent a lot of time in the study rooms doing work instead of walking all the way to Bill Bryson. There is plenty to say about Duresme Court, but overall I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, spacious, lively, cozy place to live with amazing people.

Really really nice flat - great views if you're living on the top floor especially at sunrise and sunset, the room itself feels really spacious despite technically being the smallest option (a Duresme studio). Everything is really modern and new so no need to worry about boiler issues or leaks which are often found with student houses. The WiFi is really strong even on the top floor - personally I've never experienced any connection issues during online meetings.
I'd definitely recommend renting here to any students looking for somewhere extra comfortable to live and a bit outside of the town centre while still being in comfortable walking distance of the science site, Elvet and supermarkets etc. Also an added bonus is the staff at reception are very friendly and helpful!

I've really enjoyed my time at Duresme Court. The rooms are spacious, very clean and modern, and mine has a nice view onto the courtyard. There are also great facilities such as the gym, cinema room and barbeque area but the best thing about DC is the reception staff. Emma, Dionne, Debra and Steve are all so friendly and welcoming, and make you feel at home straight away. Would definitely recommend this accomodation to anyone!

I have lived almost four months in the Duresme Court. All of the staffs are really kind, and they are always ready to help the students.

Best experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been living here for over a year. It’s definitely really convenient since it’s close to a local supermarket and bus station. Facilities here are all in good quality so that we are able to socialise or hold a seminar for study or even do exercise in Duresme gym. What’s most impressive is that the reception is sooooo kind and lovely. They organise activities regularly which is really nice for us to unwind. Can’t be better!

I currently live at Duresme Court for my final year at Durham uni. After having lived in shared houses with other students, I definitely recommend opting for a studio at Duresme! It is very fairly priced, especially if you book your room quickly, and the rent includes all bills and access to a gym, communal kitchen and games room, cinema room and study rooms located in the main building. My studio is very modern and spacious, including a large window with an amazing view.
The reception staff are so friendly and helpful - any issues with your room are sorted quickly. The accommodation itself is secure and safe as the gates are closed after the reception staff leave so only residents can access, as well as key cards being required to get into the buildings. It is also in a good location, with it being a 25 min walk to the science site and town but also there's frequent buses if you don't want to walk.
Overall, Duresme Court is amazing accommodation and is great value for money. I recommend Duresme to anyone looking for a studio - if it wasn't my last year I would definitely be rebooking!

Fantastic accommodation for students. Very kind staff always available and willing to help for any problems and welcoming ambience with totally new furnishings. Good location, very near to the Business school, near to good restaurants and to the supermarket. Well connected with the city center by public transports. I had such a great experience in Duresme court, where I felt like at home from the first day. The common rooms are a great opportunity to socialize and the atmosphere is peaceful, ideal to keep focused in studies. Overall, such a great balance between calmness and liveliness. Any issue in every room is immediately sorted and you are always helped for personal problems. I definitely would strongly recommend this accommodation especially because you breathe a family air. I will always remember my Duresme family.

Nice location! 10mins walk to town center, 10mins walk to DUBS. The receptionists are incredibly nice and sweet! I enjoyed a lot in here. Definitely recommend it to you!

Absolutely love living here! Based in a really good location, a number of bus stops right outside and a sainsburys down the road. The accommodation itself is a dream, with an in-built cinema room, games room and gym. My room is great, comes with so much storage, the furnishings are top quality and I cannot express how much I appreciate the size of the desk, finally a place for all my books! The staff are incredible, they have helped me with anything and everything. Would highly recommend living here.
M. A.
Amazing facilities, amazing service, and best of all, awesome property team, when I'm far away from home, they make us feel at home and treat us like family!

I put a lot of thought into choosing my accommodation and I genuinely believe that I could not have chosen a better place than Duresme Court.
The location is quiet and convenient for reaching both the Durham University business school and the city centre. The rooms are spacious, light and well-equipped with everything that you might need. The staff are very kind and always ready to help.
If I was to live in Durham for another I would definitely choose to stay here.
J. M.
Excellent accommodation - the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms are modern with lots of storage spaces. Any maintenance issues are quickly resolved, and the site feels secure with key-card access to external gates, accommodation blocks and individual rooms
Location is great - roughly a 20 minute walk into the middle of Durham, 25 minutes to the train station, and only 5 minutes away from the Sainsburys local.
Would definitely recommend!

Best student accommodation in Durham. The location is perfect. The staff are extremely kind and very helpful. The design of the accommodation is modern and beautiful. The room is very comfortable. Fortunately, the majority of students living here are Chinese and masters student, they are very quiet, nice and do not create problems (as opposed to students in colleges who are youngsters and very noisy). In terms of security, all interior doors are locked which is good, but the (exterior) gates are occasionally opened at night which might pose a threat to students. Unfortunately, the staff is not available for 24 hours in case an emergency happend (as opposed to other colleges). The desk chair in the room is extremely bad, it gives you neck and back pain, you might end up with spine curvature. It is disappointing that Duresme court is unwilling to replace you with a better ergonomic chair. The public kitchen at time gets very dirty and smelly; fortunately, it gets cleaned every week. There is no common faith room like colleges here. Other than that, it is great :)

Out of my 5 years of student accommodation experience, Duresme Court is the best by a stretch. The living space is amazing as well as being quiet, which is a rare and beautiful mix that you don't usually get and that I have never had before! It's well-positioned, too, being 15 mins walk from the library and 10 mins from the town itself. There is a lovely Italian restaurant across the street as well as a nearby Sainsbury's and cafe, along with good bus links just up the road.
The best thing about the place though, without a shadow of a doubt, is the staff. They have had a huge impact on my Durham experience - without them I would have enjoyed it much less! They are up there with the nicest people I have ever met, and they go above and beyond for their residents. I honestly think of them as my Duresme family, counting them as some of the best friends I have made in my time here.
Especially if you are a postgraduate student, having such wonderful people in your accommodation will make a huge difference when you have to adjust to being in a new place, as it did for me. You will be making a brilliant decision if you choose to come and live here!
许.
Really nice people in the reception, nice location to go to city center or business school, science site.

Lived here for almost three years because of the perfect facilities and services. Which impressed me most is the BBQ grill in the lovely garden.

Absolutely loving uni life staying at Duresme Court! It's my first year at university and for anyone who doesn't want to live in college and wants to be self catered, this place is perfect! Close enough to town which allows you to be involved in university life and college but also gives you time to yourself, with a games room, cinema room and gym you'll never be bored! Can't thank the staff enough for how lovely they are and welcoming! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for private accommodation!!
M. S.
It is a lovely accomodation, I highly recommend it. The location is really good, the studios are new and clean, the cinema room, study room and gym are really good. Most importantly, the team is really friendly and helpful, always here for us. They also organise great events and decorate the reception in all occasions.
J. B.
Amazing staff who will always do anything for you!
The rooms are a good decent size, which are warm and quiet (which is important due to its location!). Also has a car park available which is a good size with EV charging points!
In comparison to the price of the university halls at most colleges, it is much better value for money!
C. H.
Absolutely loved staying here. It was perfect having my own studio flat (which was a great size and layout) but also being able to socialise in communal areas and book the main kitchen or cinema room if I wanted. Was also a perfect distance for walking and public transport plus there is a secure car park which was great.
But my favourite thing was definitely the wonderful staff, they were always so helpful and also just lovely all the time. I often found myself just chatting with them.
S.
Emma, Steve and Dionne at the reception are extremely warm and welcoming. They are always available for a chat or to help out with any building/maintenance issues. The amazing experience from the staff does get affected by the behaviour of co-residents, however. Loud music during peak exam season, alongside an extremely inconsiderate tendency of leaving garbage in the corridors sullies a wonderful living experience. Plus the blocking (over the course of several hours) of communal appliances like vacuum cleaners/ laundry machines and dryers definitely leaves much to be asked from scholars who seem to be good enough to have a place at Durham University. Students here could do better with being more considerate of their neighbours' needs and be more cooperative.

Well what can I say about living at Duresme Court? If I had to put my experience into one word it would be FANTASTIC. I couldn't have chosen a better place to spend my first year as a PhD student. The location is perfect, only a short 20 mins walk to the science site and a 10 mins walk into the city centre. The rooms are bright and spacious. There is a great games room and a small gym well located within the building. But what makes this place great is the three people who work downstairs in reception: Emma, Dionne and Steve. Always ready for a chat, super friendly, happy and always incredibly helpful. However, big or small the problem, they are happy to assist and will fix or offer advice as quickly as possible. Thank you for my lovely time here Emma, Dionne and Steve and im sure the remaining few months left will be just as awesome as they have been so far.

Highly recommended for any student coming in Durham! Its by far the best accommodation (and new) in Durham for many reasons. Its very cheap comparing to other similar accommodations, variety of facilities available to the students (gym, amazing cinema room, games room, common kitchen, study rooms, barbeque area outside the reception), the staff is very friendly, kind and willing to help you and be next to the students. Duresme court is close to the city center (many buses are going to the center from here), close to the University (15mins by walking or bus), close to the supermarkets. Lastly, it is highly protected and secured for any student living here! 5 star review definitely.

Living at Duresme Court for my Masters Programme was one of the best decisions I made concerning my programme. Prior to my accommodation selection, I was torn between Duresme Court and City Block Student Accommodation and I clearly have no regrets. I had the opportunity to have a viewing with Emma's team via skype from home and I was impressed with what I saw and heard. This accommodation is brand new! (It was opened during my academic year), it has amazing studios of different sizes and styles, a cinema room, a gym, study areas and a games room. Besides these, it is the most affordable student accommodation compared to other student accommodations and all colleges in Durham (Yes, I did my research). The property staff, Emma, Dionne and Steve are very hands-on and friendly. On that note, I unreservedly recommend Duresme Court to 2019/2020 students. You would thank me later.

After moving into this accomodation 3 months, I kinda feeling it is a right option to live in here.
Almost new one, so the utilities u got will be quite good. No need to worry about furnitures.
I quite like the big window for every room, get much sunshine into the room...makes it warm and cozy.(room inside is really warm, even without opening the heater in Oct.) the wall is quite sound-proofing
Staffs are really nice, everyone of them is nice people, enthusiastic, welcoming, always ready to help(during the time period they are in there lol).
Location is not really good, but not bad at all, just about 20 mins walk can bring u to many places, like downtown, business school, Bill Bryson, Trainstation, and there is a bus station just outside, and to Sainsbury only just 300m far away.
Overall, it got some little matters, but not really important. :D, it is a really awesome place. Especially for most of Business School student.
L. R.
Love the place. Would rebook for another year if I wasn't graduating. Everyone working here is so nice. Free food and drinks basically every other day. Steve's great and has been giving me free boxing sessions too!

Duresme Court is a perfect choice for students who wish to study in Durham, everything is designed to make your student life as pleasurable as possible.
Nice room interior, excellent additional facilities (study room, kitchen, cinema room), helpful and friendly staff, and location-wise, it could not be more perfect.
Highly recommended!

Really happy with this accommodation choice considering I had never stepped foot in Durham beforehand. Room is very nice and modern. The area is relatively quiet - good for postgrads. Business school is 15 min walk on FLAT GROUND 😄😄 which is amazing considering how hilly Durham is. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
D. B.
I highly recommend Duresme Court. It was my first and only choice when I was looking for student accomodation in Durham. It is in a great location, has close bus stops, restaurants and supermarket near it. In addition to that, the building is brand new which is really good. The price is shockingly affordable for a place which has an in-built cinema, gym, huge study rooms, communal areas, free parking facilities and guess what - a BBQ. Apart from the building being an amazing one, I just adore the people who work here. Emma, Dionne and Steve are irreplacable. They are very friendly, helpful and understanding. Any query can be adressed to them and they will help you in a very short period of time.
Moreover, I just can't get enough of my studio. It has really become a home to me. It is very comfortable and has everything that a student is in need of while living abroad or far from home.
Pro tip : You can see the best sunsets from Duresme nearly everyday. My friends, who do not live here, are always jealous :P
One more time - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. If I had the opportunity to study in Durham for more than 1 year I would definitely rebook my studio.
E. F.
As an MA student here at Durham, Duresme court provides the perfect balance between student life with activities and group rooms such as the cinema room as well as the down time needed which this building acomodates perfectly for. The staff here however have made my time in Duremse Court feel not only so welcoming and safe but also like a second home. Staff are attentative and ready to listen or help with any problems you may have which made certain difficult times feel a lot more managable. I have had a lovely experience living here and would highly recomend it to any students looking to live out of college life.
E. K.
With just 10 mins walk from the town centre and Durham Uni, the place is just the best place to live in. The staff are so lovely and always helpful. Housing Equipment is brand new. Very comfortable.
J. J.
My son lived here for his masters year at Durham uni, 2018/19
Its lovely and safe, and has a very calming atmosphere across the whole site. Professional front of house staff and maintenance staff are great, and always very helpful especially Emma on the front desk. Thank you.
M. R.
I love living here at Duresme. The staff are amazing and I love chatting with them on a daily basis. The facilities are fantastic and I have even rebooked my room! I would recommend Duresme or Prestige Student Living to anyone :)
K. H.
The staff is tremendous. My flat is perfect for everything I need, especially with its eco-friendly foundation. Even more, it's so close to the city centre, but enough distance to be away from all of the loud students and other partying folk. It's so lovely.
R.
New building and decent sized studio's with everything you need. You can even turn the lights on and off from your bed!
There's a Sainsburys Local nearby if you need to get a few groceries. 10/15 minute walk to town, might be a bit of a walk to some of the uni's colleges or main library, but there are a few bus stops nearby with a lot of services running and tickets are only £1.
It's on the main road, but you can't hear any sound coming from outside or from your neighbours which is great! Staff are very friendly and helpful too :)
Only inconvenience is when someone sets the fire alarm off but that's student life for you.
s. r.
Perfect place to be living if you enjoy your own space, perfect sized rooms, amazing staff as well. Not far from the town center and local cafe near, as well as a Sainsburys. Won't ever want to move out, it's perfect!
J. W.
Absolutely brilliant accommodation, good value for money, very friendly staff who are always available to help you at anytime of the day. They even provided free breakfast during exams, decent space and the best part is you don't share a kitchen or bathroom!!

Very nice place to live.

All things in the room are brand new.

Absolutelly love the atmosphere, staff and location.
The staff members are always kind and most helpful, the facilities are new and clean. Located near fields so the view is amazing!

Ideal location to balance privacy while still feeling connected to the student community. The staff on site go above and beyond to ensure students are taken care of, making for a daily positive experience: highly recommended.

The staff really make this place incredible, and set it apart from other student accommodations. Location is good, near Sainsburys and the Business School. Great place to live.

Amazing property. Close to the business school, most colleges, city centre and the nearest supermarket is just 5 mins walk. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely a value for money!
