Reviews of New College
Here for the fringe and in the balcony and found that the view was restricted and very difficult to see with high front edge and columns all along the front. Seats reasonably comfortable but after 5 minutes the place was so hot that it doesn't matter how good they were
Great venue with a variety of shows on during the Fringe. Building is beautiful but has a lot of stairs. If you have access issues it is best to phone ahead to avoid the crowds. Disabled access is on the Royal Mile at the back of the building.
Nice live venue.
Went to see Antonio Forcione here a few years ago, and it was great. Slightly cramped seating, but great atmosphere and decent acoustics. Just a shame you have to trek up the mound to get there.

Saw Sir Ian doing his farewell tour.Started as 80 events in 80 days but is now going on to London. Assembly Hall is venue for Church of Scotland's annual assembly(what else?} First came here in the 50s to see a production of Romeo and Juliet. Alan Badel, Claire Bloom and Peter Finch. Magic. So different from Shakespeare at school.
Great venue for jazz and blues
Was one of our favourite Festival venues but no more. No info any more on the shows outside, young staff had no knowledge, more interested in talking to each other. Queuing in the rain .Will not be back.
Beautiful building and great Fringe venue.
