Not had the opportunity to study here but been to a couple of conferences. Very friendly and down to earth people, great location in a great city with easy access to great countryside. And no, I'm not Scottish ;)

Was at a boxing event, great night, staff really helpful. Downside was no disabled access and no ventilation so was really hot.

Family wedding at GUU. What a great venue. Staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful. Food was of a high standard. The layout of the venue is very flexible and allows for quite areas for people to meet and talk as well as room for dancing and lots of noise ( this works well for older relatives:-)). For those looking for an attractive and cost effective wedding venue would certainly recommend.

Went to the billiards room as part of a social, great fun and cheap drinks. A machine to exchange coins and bills to 50p pieces for the tables would be good and the queue for the bar in the billiards room often got in the way of people playing, they could organise the queue differently around the bar. Other than that great experience cant wait to go again.

Had our wedding here last weekend. Absolutely outstanding. Beautiful building, amazing rooms inside and a fantastic location. Couldn't have picked a better place. Gemma and her team are so easy to work with and cant praise them enough.

As a student and now a life member, The Union has been and still is a favourite haunt. Full of happy memories, but sad to see it so quiet now compared to years ago. It has so much to offer and is a club par excellence.

If you don't have a University of Glasgow ID, don't bother trying to get in at night time. Other than that it's great, has places to eat, drink and halls to run events in. Had many great nights there.

Best place to hold your wedding! The union also has a pub and is hosting many societies most of which are open to the broad public. E.g. cuban classes of salsa4water Glasgow every Wednesday afternoon.

Nice university with decent buildings, parking can be nightmare as it's city centre location.
