This is an excellent student accommodation. The location is perfect for my son but what makes this so special is the staff. They are all incredible. Nothing is to much for them. For the first time away from home for any student I can't recommend this place enough.

Amazing staff. Very clean and safe. Amazing location. A few mins walk to shops/bars etc. It offers great amenities like social space with pool table and ping pong table and a big TV, study area, gym, bike storage, in-house housekeeping and TVs in communal flats. It offers studios and shared apartments. It has 24 hour security and fobs to get in-so it is safe. All smart TV has Netflix, Youtube, etc. All the bills are included. Loved my accommodation and Liverpool. Lived here for 3 years. So much to do in Liverpool. Great city. :-) <3
All the nursing students can request to be put together if they want. Got a brilliant present from them to thank all NHS student nurses working during the covid period. #Happy. <3

I have stayed at Grand Central, Apollo Court and Byrom and Byrom is the best. I was in a bronze en suite. The rooms are nice and bright, clean, with plenty of storage space. I had a room on a higher floor which I recommend because you get a nice view. The kitchen is a good size and by far the nicest to sit and chill with your other flatmates. The other accoms I stayed in the kitchens were tiny, dark and kindve depressing to sit in. The staff are really helpful and theres a big social room where people would chill or have pre-drinks together before going out. Even with it being a sociable place your flat is quiet and I never had to make any noise complaints (and I'm a v light sleeper). Gym is also good. The area it is in is perfect-literally across the road from James Parson building and in walking distance to other buildings like Redmonds, James Foster etc. It is down the road from Avril Roberts library. They have a study room which me and my flatmates used a lot which is 24hrs (so is the gym). Highly recommend this accommodation to anyone starting Uni in Liverpool

Lived at bryom for 2 years, for both of the years i had booked the bronze en suite rooms. The flat is spacious and the kitchen is to a high standard. The bathrooms are a bit small but they work for one person. The staff are always helpfull and nice. Very nice place to live worth the price

I moved into a gold studio for my first year of university with my partner and already we have booked on again for the next year.
After reading the reviews prior to moving in I was a bit worried. But after living here 5 months I haven’t experienced anything that has put a downer on my experience.
The room space is Enormous for student living and of good quality. The WiFi speeds are incredible (at one point reaching around 120mbps) which is perfect as I do a lot of online gaming. The water has never not been hot and me and my partner manage 2 showers a day each and still have hot water. It has a great location next to the ljmu Byrom street campus. With a 5 minute walk to town and a minute or two from a Tesco express. Large social area with a ping pong, pool table, Xbox one and board games. As well as all this there is a gym and bike storage, a quiet study area and a launderette on site.
The staff for this place are incredible. I’d like to say they make my time here a lot more enjoyable. Always friendly and engage in conversation. They also put on a lot of fun engaging entertainment for everyone (which they selflessly fund themselves) so you can get to know the other tenants of the building. There is on site maintenance so if needs be you can get any problems with your room sorted within the day.
Overall I would say I will definitely be spending my 5 years of university at Byrom Point as I’ve seen a lot of other student accommodation and none of them even come close to Byrom Point.

I am a first year student that attends Edge Hill Univeristy in Ormskirk. Yet Byrom point was and will always be my first choice of residence for university. For people like me it is so easy to travel as they are about a 7 minute walk from Moorefields train station. However they are also so close to the city centre as well.
I moved in for my first year and have already have rebooked for my second year! Amazing staff, friendly environment, great facilities! Our room is perfect and it’s such a good size for both me and my boyfriend. We love it here!
Always hot water for us to shower every day. Internet speeds are better here than when I was at home. Perfect for getting all my uni work done. The staff always have fun events going on in the social space which me and my boyfriend take the opportunity to get involved with the staff and other residents. There is an on-site maintenance, however nothing has ever broke or gone wrong to actually need the help.
Overall I will definitely be spending my 3 years of university at Byrom point.

I'm living here for the year at the moment but because of how amazing things are here, I've just booked on to stay another year! The staff are very attentive, anything you may need advice or help with they are patient with you, everything is so clean, modern and spacious and the overall atmosphere is spot on. Would seriously recommend to anyone who is new to halls!

Good new student accommodation. Rooms are decently equipped. Very close to John Moore's university and the town centre so an ideal location. Good onsite facilities including common room and gym. Small council run car park at the front (charges apply). Quite difficult for the sat nav to find the correct entrance.

I’m a first year student at the University Of Liverpool. Me and my girlfriend are staying in a gold studio and we’re underwhelmed with the experience we’ve had so far.
The TV’s provided in the room are really bad quality and while it’s okay for doing basic things such as connecting any consoles or computers, you can’t actually use any features that are built into the TV, because they simply don’t work. I’m not sure if this is actually an internet problem though.
The desk space is quite limited and the chair they provide you with is very small and uncomfortable, and just plain cheap.
The storage space is something that i was very disappointed with, because there’s hardly any. We’ve ended up having things places in corners of the room because there’s nowhere to put them. The storage space for the kitchen is laughable, and we’ve had to buy two sets of plastic drawers to put our food in. There’s no oven, although the microwave works as an oven just fine, but there’s hardly any space in the microwave to make a full meal. The freezer in the fridge provided is T I N Y. So i recommend you don’t eat a lot of frozen food. It’s about half the size of a full shelf in a fridge.
The bed is EXTREMELY comfortable and I find myself sleeping like a baby every night which is amazing. It’s probably my favourite part about the place.
The washing facilities are fine but inevitably expensive. And I find myself wearing clothes 3 days in a row to avoid the costs of just doing a simple wash for personal hygiene. I don’t think it’s right to charge for washing up at all, especially as students. WE’RE POOR :’(
The heater didn’t work when we first moved in but someone quickly came up to fix it and now it works just fine, just takes a while to actually get the room warm. Our bathroom sink also kept filling up everytime we’d put the tap on but again, was quickly fixed. The shower drain also get’s clogged up a lot (the man who fixed it told us it was because of a weird shape that the drain had) so that’s a huge inconvenience. The shower is also MINISCULE. You can’t turn around without banging your arm on the walls every five seconds. But the bathroom mirror is lit up (amazing) and is HUGE and is also one of my fave things in the room.
The only other negative i have is the coat hooks, basically, their useless. You can’t put more than two coats on each hook without causing a cotton and polyester avalanche.
All in all...it’s not worth what we pay for it...at all. We may as well have gotten a cheaper studio because it’s certainly not worth paying and extra £30 or so a week. No ma’am.
Anyway lol hope you enjoyed. The place is decent but overall the studio’s are not worth what you pay for them.

The show flat looks absolutely amazing! I can't wait to move in this September! the women who work there are so friendly and helpful as I've met them a few times when I've came in to ask questions about the flat. It's also right opposite Byrom Street campus and about 5 minuet walk from town.

I am moving in to the building in September, and couldn't be more happy with all the help and support I've received from Melissa and Sue when I booked the room and also any help I've needed after. The building couldn't be in a better location for John Moores students- just over the road from the main JMU site and about a 2 minute walk from the JMU library and the Liverpool Central Library near the museum and Walker Art Gallery. The marketing suite looked fantastic and definitely gave me a good insight into what my room will look like when I move in. In terms of price I think it is good value for money when you consider the location and the fact it is a brand new building, there are much more expensive student properties on the market that aren't in good locations in respect of the University buildings.

My daughter is a student in Liverpool and is living here. It has helpful staff at reception, a social room and gymnasium. It is a 5 minute walk to the city centre shops, The rooms are ensuite with free WiFi. Worth considering if you are a student planning to live in Liverpool

Haven't actually moved in yet, but the whole booking procedure with live chat was amazing - really useful help and guidance throughout the process from Michelle. Thanks so much!

I moved there in 2016, the building was newly constructed and that time was managed by a different company, the staff was very friendly and always listened to what you said and tried to help you with the best possible way they could, they had social events in thier enormous social space once month, and they even have a small gym and a study room. The reason it's called Byrom Point is because most of the LJMU Byrom Street campuses are on very shot walking distances.

I've lived here for my second and third year of uni, the location if great and all facilities in the building are fantastic. Staff are lovely and efficient at fixing any problems I've had.
