I had an absolutely lovely year at Chapter Islington. The staff here was supportive, friendly and funny and you would end up making friends with every one of them. They took good care of me while I was in self isolation and they helped me out with lots of things. Special thanks to Juan, Charlie, and Moses (phonetically) ♥️
The room was small but remember you’re in London! I could access almost all popular places in London in 30 minutes. I had no problem with electricity, water or heater during my stay — if anything, they fixed it right away. The common area and gym were great — I had great memories here with friends.
One advice for new-comers would be to book a room with big window. I love looking at the view outside my window when I’m tired from study.
I wish everyone at Chapter Islington all the best✨

I lived in Chapter Islington for one year. I definitely recommend this place for students, especially if you are new to London! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped me a lot with any kind of problems, even it's not about accommodation! There is always someone in reception who is willing to help you. Also, the location of accommodation is very central, you can take the bus or underground within walking distance. It is a safe area, I feel safe even while walking on the street at midnight. The rooms are super clean and its size is very comfortable to live in. I am very happy to lived there!

Just dropped my eldest off to embark upon his university chapter. We were greeted by warm and welcoming staff. Accommodation looks very nice im sure my son will enjoy there facilities and let us know.

Great student accommodation with good gym and study area. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Whenever I had a problem they always did their best to solve it.

Amazing and super friendly staff. Always catching myself having gossip sessions with the girls at reception (Dalma and Samiha) For international women’s day they even did free manicures throughout the day !

Great accommodation and especially team. Alex is so lovely and always happy to help or have a chat. She helped me move around all my luggage during COVID and everyone thinks very highly of her. The team makes sure everything works, that there are social events and send maintenance quickly if there are any issues in the room. So far the best student accommodation I have been to, and will book again.

I love this Chapter! I booked it from Londonist Agency, and they provided me a decent room to stay. I couldn’t be happier for living here. It’s located in central area and easy to reach everywhere.
When I first came, the room was cleaned before use even though I still need to use my sweep to re-clean it but I didn’t mind bcs it will be my room anyway. I personally don’t know why some people had experience of cleanliness issue, but thankfully I was fortunate to receive a satisfied room.
Just to help others to find a honest review from my experience:
For other review related to dust, I could say dust is everywhere in London, so eventho u close your window all day long but you are going outside and probably use underground, it means that the dust can still get in to ur room from your own clothes exposed by dust outside. I used to lived in North London area far away from central and still the dust was exist. So nothing to do for it, sorry.
For review of hot water, I always shower with hot water so thankfully again I never experience this (and hopefully won’t experience it).
For noise, I have room facing the courtyard area inside the Chapter, sometimes I can hear people talking, but it’s just ok. People gathered to courtyard to smoke whether alone or with their friends so there’s nothing wrong about it. But sometimes it could quite loud for some occasion let’s say when there are group of people who decided to hangout in the midnight, that’s annoying sometime because it disturbed people to get sleep. So, it depends on their own awareness too, I can’t fully blame Chapter bcs it is that people who did it :) It must be very annoying for those who have room facing courtyard especially me :)
But I believe that there’s something wrong with your room the Chapter would try to fix it, for example: I changed my microwave because it’s broken and got replacement on the next day.
The one thing I wish for this Chapter is that hopefully they could clean the window from outside regularly so at least we all could get a better view outside.
So, overall, everything has been working well and I love the service, receptionists are always very helpful lovely and kind.
Hope this review helpful for anyone considering Chapter Islington :)

I am very happy with my experience at chapter Islington.
My room was new, clean, super sunny and facing a park (golden ensuite, building C), the kitchen well equipped and big.
Convenient location with a tube station (Caledonian road station, Piccadilly line), several buses and many supermarkets nearby.
The staff was great, they made my experience even better. They were always friendly and incredibly helpful.
I can only recommend this accommodation.
Thank you!

Convenient location to Central St Martin. Good transport links to UCL, LSE and KCL

I have lived at the Chapter Islington for 2 months while studying in the university. It was my first experience with chapter living and I'm really satisfied with it. The location is great, it's very easy to move around London from there. The building looks new, room is nice and tidy; there is a small gym, study room and art class. The room itself is tiny but comfortable. The only problem during my stay was laundry service; circuit service is extremely uncomfortable(I struggled for 2 weeks to finally start using it); it was always quiet during the night and I felt safe all the time.
It is important to know that cleaning is not included and there is no equipment in the room to clean the it (I bought everything in Argos).
What I like the most about my days in Chapter Islington is running club, available for all levels. Running community is so friendly and welcoming. It’s a great way to feel a part of something and meet new people. Absolute recommend it!!!!

Really supportive, friendly, and accommodating staff with a really tough job! Shout out to Danilo, Sam and Damla for being really kind and helpful always.

I live in Chapter Islington for almost a year, this
is a perfect place that I recommend those who will study in London live here! The traffic is so convenient, you can take buses or underground by walking only one to four minutes. There are four stores near by, so it’s easy for you to buy stuff. Every month, the reception hosts different activities like welcome party, hotpot party, Holloway party and so on to let us enjoy the time here and help us make friends! Every time when you face trouble in this accommodation, the staff always try their best to help you and ensure your feeling living here. Chapter Islington has a gym, a theater and study room. It is really a great place for you to enjoy your time in London!

I stayed here for my training! Best 6 weeks! The staff are extremely friendly! Everyone is really helpful no matter what time you need help! I was shown to my room by Juan. Extremely helpful individual who explained everything to me! Upon leaving I was assisted by Ioana who helped open the gates so that my car could come inside and I could throw my bags into the car. The rooms are clean when you arrive and as I had a studio flat I had all the essentials I needed to make my stay perfect! There is also an outside area to sit and enjoy drinks with your mates and a pool table inside! Ideal place for students or businesses sending employees down for training!

Having stayed there for 6 months before having to go back home due to the pandemic, I would say that this place is a very nice student accommodation.
The facilities at the reception and social areas are all as advertised, albeit a little worn(perfectly acceptable, considering not all residences are as considerate), staff were very nice and would greet people :D As long as you were polite, patient and nice to the staff, they were some of the nicest and friendliest people. I suppose you would need to book an appointment to have a tour, but when i went a staff was free(i was lucky) and kind enough to show me and my family around -- she had only recently been working there but she was still able to answer all our questions.
I stayed in a Silver ensuite (for more details do check out their website) and it was exactly as advertised. It was a little unfortunate that the cleaning staff forgot to clear out one drawer, but otherwise the room was well cleaned and properly wiped down.
The facilities offered were quite a lot more compared to other accommodations i have visited, and are mostly well kept and maintained. Surfaces are cleaned everyday. I was always swiftly notified when my packages arrived and they would be handled with care. Identification would be required to collect my items which can be a hassle but it is a good precaution after all. Laundry system can be a bit complicated at first, but once you know how to use it, it's pretty ok. Washing prices are a little expensive, but it's London after all and it is also managed by an external company(i think).
Chapter Islington is also quite good with notifying residences about things through email / resident portal notifications. They also organise lots of events and activities, which they also notify you through email. Maintenance is also rather swift, although it will depend on what issue you are facing. My bathroom issue was fixed in 2 days, whereas a flatmate's door issue took months. Thankfully, I was lucky enough to have very nice and considerate flatmates. There was once a water + heating issue which they very clearly notified us about 2 days before and also reminded us the day before and the day of the maintenance. Issue was resolved at the end of the day as promised.
It is also situated very conveniently, there is a Sainsbury's down the road and a tube station next to it(Caledonian Road Station, 1 stop away from King's Cross) and another Tesco and Nisa further down on the other side of the road. There is a bus stop next to the station and another down the main street in the opposite direction. No more than a 5 minute walk.
I booked my room quite late (in August), but was still offered a room. The price, I feel, compared to the other Chapter accommodations is quite worth it and a bit more sensible, albeit still a little high, but it is London after all.
As with all student accommodations, smell of smoking, noises/partying at night, occasional broken washing machine, even inconsiderate flatmates etc are common occurrences in ALL TYPES of student accommodations. I personally do think it is luck when it comes to these things and don't be too picky. However, their facilities are quite good and they are trying to constantly improve their service, which is very good.

Great staff!
Zero ventilation, overheats in the summer but fan is provided.
Basic kitchen utensils provided, but a lot more had to be bought to live comfortably.
Ironing equipment was basic and was hard to iron on. Get around this by splitting the cost of a decent iron between the flat.
M. D.
Lived here for four years and albeit pricey, the experience has been generally positive. Nice reception staff too.
B. L.
Amazing location, central London right at your doorstep. Great public transportation in the area, piccadilly line and numerous buses. Many amenities around, shops, cafes, Kings cross within walking distance.
The rooms are great, good facilities and super friendly and helpful staff. Loved staying here!

Chapter Islington has been an amazing place to stay at this year! The manager Paul and his team are beyond the nicest people you could possibly meet. Paul, Yazmin, Alex, Percy, Caprice and Juan are all extremely friendly and helpful; and fun to chat with! The rooms are spacious, where one doesn’t feel like they are in a dorm at all. Amazing amenities all within the residence from gym, study room to even a cinema! And endless events. It’s definitely worth staying at - makes your study experience all the more fun!

Chapter Islington, is a very good student accommodation, inmy experience it has good facilities such as the gym, the study room and the living rooms.
They are currently doing renovations and improvements in most areas, which I think will improve some areas.
Also, I want to comment that for me the best thing that Chapter Islinton has is the location. Because, in 15 minutes you are in very important areas for students such as King´s Cross, Russell Square and Holborn. In addition, it has the Piccadilly Line, which on Fridays and Saturdays at night is 24 hours.
My experience has been good and that is why I highly recommend it.
B. Q.
The staff are friendly and the flats are clean. Rooms are small but nice, and the kitchens are huge. Has a nice but very small gym and a really nice study room.

I stayed with Chapter Islington for a 6 week course in July / August. The staff were friendly and helpful and even sorted me out some portable fans when Summer decided to kick in! High quality furniture and a very powerful shower! I'd definitely recommend the location. Close to the Caledonian road underground station and a Tesco express and Sainsbury's near by!
S. R.
Very convenient location and average quality rooms and kitchens. Frequent problems with water and electricity, and the lifts are out of order at least once a month. But it's never cold, there's no significant damp, the kitchen appliances work well and even the bronze rooms are quite spacious (if you have a moderate number of possessions). The rent is simply too high for what you get, but that's the fault of London generally not Chapter. Likewise the WiFi cuts out for short periods all the time, but that's what StudentCom (one of the main student accommodation wifi providers) is like, not Chapter specifically
One slight issue is the floors in the stairwells aren't numbered, so if you're not counting you end up walking past your floor. But a small perk is the size of their washing machines and dryers. If you've been living at home with your family washing machine all your life, it may come as a shock to you how much your laundry eats in your budget, regardless of where you live. But, you can fit much more stuff in these machines than most home ones (there's handy guides on them too).

Very good student accommodation with amazing facilities and very friendly staff. This place has very good potential and there is some space for improvement that's why 4 stars. The rooms are in very good condition and the whole building is very new. Come visit for a viewing and you will be sure which accommodation you will choose.

(Translated) Many students here have short courses from language schools or the University of London! So people come and go!
Seven suites with a common kitchen, not very clean! Depending on whether your roommate is paying attention to cleanliness, the kitchen equipment is complete!
The room was welcoming and the beds were quite large! But the pillow is not easy to lay ~ If you are concerned about sleep, please bring your own!
The shower head in the bathroom cannot be adjusted! It's very small, and it feels tight and stuffy when washing! Sometimes it's cold and hot!
It's about five minutes' walk from the subway station, which is very convenient. There are several bus stops next to it!
The service staff are good, and there is a service to help receive the goods. After that time, you can pick up the goods with the room number and the counter.
There is an open-air public space in the apartment. At midnight, some people will be noisy there. It will be a bit noisy. It can be reflected to the reception, but it is useless!
There are super shops around and it's very convenient!
There is a gym and a reading room in the accommodation, as well as a multimedia room!
The gym is small but small!
Reading room is not big!
