A world class institute for teaching and research in all things economic, management and politic in the heart of the world class city. The place has trained many students and turned them into influential veterans in broadcasting, teaching, banking and charity work and it still does exactly that everday today. The compact campus is a mini city with the entrances of all main buildings facing away from the main streets, a short walk but a world away from the life of London.

Absolutely love the course I’m enrolled in! I couldn’t have had a better mix of modules even I tried. There are plenty of Economics modules available that allow for you to develop not only your quantitative skills but enhance your qualitative skills too. Top university in the world, with great reputation in economics and social studies disciplines. The teaching quality is not bad, and the fellow students are competitive. As a student you can feel pressure in every inch of the ground in the campus. The public resources (the library, the study spaces, the PC, the books, the classrooms) are extremely limited, so sometimes one must fight or wait for a place in the library studying area.

This university changed my life and I am so grateful for the people I have met. Teaching isn't great but it's time to grow up and do your own independent study. I came from the roughest school in tower Hamlets and my mentally changed once I was in my first year here. My life path has drastically changed! I've found that its the really privileged kids that will complain for stupid things like they don't have 5 student microwaves instead of 2 or there needs to be a graduation ball because XYZ uni does it.

Its motto is to understand the causes of things, and I very much appreciated my education there. What I liked the most is the high degree of international students. I don't know any other school in the world that has such a high percentage of international students. One great hidden spot to study is the Shaw library. It's awesome!

This is one of the great UK universities and its influence certainly goes far beyond the classroom. Despite the strong brand, the school tries hard to maintain its status as a world leading institution by attracting top talent and heavily investing in the areas of infrastructure. This did not go unnoticed during my time there.All in all, think of all the things that a student wants from a university and it is hard to identify one area where the LSE does not deliver. I certainly am satisfied with the school. Just to be on the safe side, at least for the postgraduate courses the LSE experience -as with most UK universities- is one where the student is expected to be to a large degree autonomous with relation to studying and covering ground on the courses. This is part of the teaching philosophy in the UK. As such it can sometimes feel atomized an experience and might contrast with the norm in other countries.

At first a dream ,followed by intense desire to be educated there . This for a guy whose ADHD failed him in formal secondary education . However my burning desire to stand up and be counted saw me graduate from this amazing life changing institution with an upper second BSc Anthropology . Class of 2007 .One thing that is indisputable is a delayed effect time there has on you for the rest of your life . It's hard to deny once having been schooled at the the LSE ,one literally has a mind that DOES understand or is constantly ,making enquirers into understanding the causes of most things ,in spite of one self ss per its motto.

Full disclaimer: I attended the LSE and have many fond memories of this place, so you could consider my review to be biased. I'm not going to write about the quality of the courses or its international reputation as these are well-known. Rather, I'm going to write about LSE's great public lecture programme, which often feature renowned speakers such as Alain de Botton, Bill Gates, Eric Ries and Angus Roxburgh, to name but a few who have spoken in the past two months. Access to the lectures is, believe it or not, free, although some are ticketed, with tickets being allocated through a ballot system should demand exceed supply. In the event you're not able to make a lecture, these will usually be recorded and made available for downloading in the form of podcasts on the LSE Public Events website in the days following the event. If you've a free evening and want to spend it enriching your mind, this should definitely rank high on your list.

As I never studied here, I can't share any insight on the quality of education you would receive here, but you probably can't go wrong looking at the list of their alumni. I have however attended a number of public events organized by the LSE. Combine lectures, discussions, debates, concerts, seminars, and exhibitions with some very famous names linked with interesting topics and you have the LSE's recipe for a public event. Almost all of them are recorded and appear online in convenient podcasts a couple weeks afterwards if you missed out for whatever reason. If you're not already convinced, the events are also completely free.
