Newvic has a brilliant staff who helps to motivate students and the college has a library allows you to study of the lesson hours. One of my IT teachers Syeda helped us pass level 3 first year and other GCSE teachers

Newvic is a really good college. Every teacher are really good and they always help students.
I can guaranty that every single IT teachers are good also English teacher as well.
Library is really nice and there are lots of space where you can do group study or even you can do self study as well.
I ♥️ newvic.

Went to Newvic 2016-2018 after leaving Newham sixth form collegiate (NCS) and i had a much better experience. It's funny because teachers in NCS used to take the piss when not handing in homework/ having a hard time that newvic will be a better place... strange threats really. But newvic really was, much better than NCS that is. It supported students learning and counsellor is amazing for when things arent going so well. Which a school like NCS does not factor in for, treating students like little robots... dont get me wrong its not perfect but defo makes a fair effort for looking out for student and supporting their development. In paticular the stats/ maths department are really supportive and compassionate :))

Having been a student at Newvic for 3 years I gained a lot of experience. The teachers are very good in what they teach and have years of experience in their field. However discrimination does exist between weaker and stronger students. Some teachers might even ignore some of their students. The new library does look good however it is extremely noisy. The environment is a bit rough and you hear lots of swearing.
The maths department escpially Rayon Walters and David Phillips are really good and enthusiastic teachers. From the chemistry department Francisco is the best. My GCSE tutor Alan Kunna was always really helpful and kind.
Overall it's a decent college given that you're hard working yourself.

Went to this college between the years 2014 - 2016. Studied Maths, Computing and Sociology. The maths and computing departments (teachers for computing are maths teachers) are very good, teachers are very helpful especially the elderly female teacher who made my experience at NewVIc a very memorable one. The maths department - again - is very good. Teachers are always willing to help you out and explain things to you.
This college gets and will continue to get a lot of bad rep. This is only because they literally take anyone in, but don't let this spoil your experience/stop you from going to NewVIc, as most of these people do BTECs etc. so if you want to do A Levels in STEM subjects or A Levels such as Economics, History (the slightly more difficult subjects), you should be fine. However, I should warn you that occasionally some disruptive people (such as those you see standing around outside) do make their way to STEM subjects - but do not despair, they tend to bunk or at worst leave at the end of the 1st year.
Now, the sociology department as a whole isn't great however, but if you happen to get one male teacher - who may annoy you occasionally or more often - you should be in safe hands - so long as you remember to do your homework and bring in your lever arch folder!
I was also part of a the honours program they had for my first year. Just know this, if you are part of it great, if not, you can still get into a Russell group/golden triangle university without *any* of their extra help. I did. But if you want to do medicine or dentistry I would highly recommend you do take part - some of the extra stuff would be useful for you.
Overall, it is a decent college with improving facilities - especially with the new building which is yet to be opened.
I dropped one star from the rating mostly due to the fact that I had to inhale much more cigarette smoke than I would've liked - which was none.

Miss this place, I had an amazing experience personally both first and second year but unfortunately it was cut short due to covid. The teachers which I had were beyond amazing and the vibes are amazing!

The teachers are fantastic and willing to help you with your work. The sixth form has a very nice friendly and easy going atmosphere.

It's a well resources college however some of the teachers are under trained and sometimes students have a better knowledge of things especially when it comes to software
