Absolutely amazing place to walk/hike.
Get nice hiking shoes and a small jacket for the wind at the top. So worth it.

This is one of my favourite places to run around Yeoman Hey reservoir, Greenfield Reservoir and Greenfield Brook. There’s some spectacular scenery to be seen that’s hard to believe it’s in Oldham. It’s even more special when the water is calm and reflects its surroundings. Beautiful!

This is a nice walking area with stunning views.

We keep coming back there during weekends to chill, relax and get some fresh air as well as reunite with the nature. The bottom car park gets very crowded if you arrive late however we always manage to find free space at the top one. The walk along the top of the hill is great too if you have more time and energy!

Lovely place, perfect for dog walking or simply clearing your head.

Great scenery and lovely walks

A slightly tougher walk than its neighbour, but not awful around the south side. Just be prepared for some mud if wet, and don't expect it to be an easy wander like the rest of the walk.

Great to walk around with the kids and dog. Plus the added bonus of some cracking views and wildlife.

Stunning scenery, we park at Holme and walk down at the side of the "Hobbit house underhill" and go down to the waterfall and walk over to the other resis. See O/S maps

Yeoman Hey Reservoir is a reservoir in the English Peak District. On its margin is a commemorative stone laid by the King of Tonga in 1981. The reservoir is within the boundaries of Greater Manchester but was formerly in the West Riding of Yorkshire. It is one of three reservoirs in the same valley: above it is Greenfield Reservoir, and adjacent to and below it is Dovestone Reservoir.
