L. J.You get what you pay for essentially the facility’s are good it can be cheap for your first year but the complex is often loud and be sure to keep record of any damage because repairs are very overcharged

There are other offerings from private student accommodation firms however with this accomodation it is linked in directly to the university, so you pay your accommodation cost on the online portal for Northumbria university (all bills included in accommodation price) and there is a university linked printer in reception.
The flats have been "redone" which basically means they have been painted, the rooms are relatively soundproof with thick walls but the doors are paper thin.
Toilets could be a lot nicer and the bathroom could be a lot smaller.
Receptionists are so good and keep the place bright and cheerful but it is a shame they don't work on Saturdays and Sundays, which means parcels can't be delivered those days
Maintenance is there, they do a good job in a timely manner and are nice people, they are just let down by the old building.
On move in day out flat was heated to a crazy 26 degrees and we were constantly complaining about the temperature as it completely depends on the wind direction of your room will be cooled, even in November I have a fan in my window trying to cool down my room.
The rooms are clean, spacious enough and have a lot of storage.
Noise is not much of a problem but if it is then the university security can deal with it, one of the perks of being attached to the university compared to other student accomodations
S. G.Cheap accommodation for Northumbria University and a 2 minute walk from Northumbria uni main campus and about a 7 minute walk to Northumberland Street (where all of the shops are). The place can be loud at times so would recommend it for first and second year students but not final year or masters students. It is extremely sociable too but if you have a maintenance problem, it is usually sorted more or less straight away if you go to reception or call security. And now something the university probably won't tell you-
Occasionally unexpected visits at early hours with police and sniffer dogs so watch out for that (Usually just happens if they suspect you have something but can be random)
A. M. (.Had a great time in 1st year, very sociable flats at a great price. Bills inclusive, fast Internet and nice, recently refurbished rooms.
