Advantages: Good location 15 min to newcatle uni, 10 min to grainger market, 10 min from tesco, friendly staff, good gym and common spaces for relax, very warm rooms at winter time, good storage space under bed, bed size and mattress are comfortable, good size of desk for reading, comfortable chair at the desk, always hot water, moderate soundproof walls Disadvantages: very warm flats at summer period, windows are NOT opening, fan for ventilation is noisy, when cooking due to the small space cloth and generally the room smells until next day, the hob and oven-microwave are very small, the stand table for eating is uncomfortable, very small sink in the bath, many doors to enter and leave the building are annoying, led lighting at the desk for reading was annoying, and generally the lighting is from spot bulbs and that creates no natural lighting. THAT'S MY PERSONAL OPINION AND GENERALLY I HAD GOOD TIME AT PLUMMER HOUSE HOWEVER MANY THINGS CAN BE IMPROVED!

The most friendliest accommodation. The staff always make you feel like at home they are so easy to talk to and any problems are taken care of immediately. They do their best during the pandemic with all the restrictions set, providing us with the best possible entertainment with weekly game zoom calls where you can meet and interact with new students in the accommodation. In comparison to other accommodations the rooms are very cozy, modern and all the rooms have wooden flooring (not carpet like in most accommodations). All the common areas are kept very clean and in pristine condition. The location of Plummer House is amazing it is right in the centre of Newcastle. I truly recommend this accommodation for everyone including couples as from personal experience I know it is hard to find couple accommodation.

My decision to choose Plummer House as my accommodation was the best decision I could have made. The rooms really look like in the pictures. They are large, modern and clean. If a problem arose in the room in exceptional cases, it was solved very quickly. The staff is very friendly and open-minded. They try very hard to make you feel comfortable in Plummer House and to make new friends. Despite the Corona time, events have been organised to connect the students. In addition, large social rooms offer the perfect opportunity to meet with the other students. The absolute highlight of the accommodation is the gym with very good equipment, the cinema and the coffee machine. The Plummer House is definitely recommendable and I would always make this choice again!

I had an absolutely amazing year at Plummer House, the staff were incredible and made my stay second to none. My room was incredible and had amazing views of Newcastle city centre. The social areas like the Bar Room and Ballroom etc are a fantastic way of making new friends; and the additional amenities such as cinema, gym and study room meant I could socialise and work all in one place. I could not recommend this accommodation highly enough!

The staff have been handling COVID very well, with no cases in all of the building so far! Danielle the manager is very friendly with everyone else and knows how to handle every situation perfectly, she is very humble and she makes others feel like they're still home. All members of staff are very nice and they treat students living here as very close friends. I would strongly recommend plummer house if you were looking for a place that keeps your spirit lifted during these times, and even during normal times.

Lived here for 3 years now and cannot fault! Staff and security are amazing, I feel so incredibly safe and secure here. Events are fun and had online events to join doing COVID19 which were great! Made so many friends here I am devastated to be leaving. Made me feel like a VIP for x3 years! Funny reading the comments in the 1 star reviews as the current students living here know who has been writing them... clearly all coming from the same person... that isn’t exactly popular around campus! Love living here will be sad to leave and wish I could stay here after I graduate! Thanks to the amazing team at Plummer House!

Been living here for 4 months and it's the best living experience I've had in Newcastle to date, having lived in the North East for 3 years now. Wonderful, supportive staff, amazing rooms and great value-for-money, I'm in no doubt that I'll re-book for next year! Featuring a gym, bar, cinema room, study room and ballroom, all free to use at any time, with all bills included and a wide range of different rooms to suit any requirements and price range, I couldn't recommend Plummer House any higher to any student, no matter what year you're in! Plummer House is without a doubt the best city-centre accommodation in Newcastle!

“I love the vibe of Plummer House! The building is well designed and aesthetically pleasant to live in. Its location in Newcastle is perfect which makes it ideal for attending university, shopping especially night outs within walking distance. The rooms are very luxurious. Stuffs here are quite nice, there are few large modern common room to use as chat or just study. If you like to cook,the kitchen here you will like it. I like the decoration in the building,young,modern,new,and the switches in the room are helpful. However,you should notice some points. I met few times of the Wi-Fi shut down in the mid night,if you do not active between 11p.m-6a.m. that's fine,but if you have a due should stay up late,you should know about this problem. How much daylight you will meet all depends which situation your room is, at least the daylight in my room is bad with the window cannot open. There are some problems that other accomodation may meet either. The door isn't soundproof,there is a garden without shelter you must go through when you want to go to your room in another building.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially Raymond who is always ready to support and help residents as well as fix anything broken. Good place to socialize with other students and make friends because of events organized by staff. Location is perfect because it’s next to everything. Overall good place to live.

Hello everyone I am looking for someone to takeover my tenancy for a classic studio accommodation in the city center, at Plummer House student accommodation. You will have access to Gym, cinema room, ball room, common room, study area 24/7. 10 min by walk to newcastle university or Northumbria business school and 3min walk to Grey's Monument. Great price for a weekend stay in Newcastle. The rooms have everything you need for self catering. You can hear everything going on outside the room though so be prepared to be woken throughout the night. We had to ask for an extra towel as only one was provided for two people - they were happy to provide this. It's in a great location for exploring newcastle.

Very fancy building, newly refurbished/ built, all the rooms have an expensive feel to them. There is a very grand ballroom on one side of the building. The street side of the building has a common room with a self catered bar! There is free WiFi in the building and a fantastic bike store on your way in. Every floor is wheelchair accessible.

The room was incredibly hot and stuffy and not suitable for two people. Do not book unless you're travelling alone and don't have a problem with a hot room, that you can't even open the window of. We actually checked out straight away. That being said, the staff were very friendly and helpful and apologised profusely.
