Reviews of Hertford College
Undoubtedly the most iconic college!
Small college. Very friendly
The college is known for its iconic bridge, the Bridge of Sighs.
If you haven't ever woken up with a hangover and a bright blue tongue, then you've never had a Pango.
My dear dear college. Dynamic, open, modern yet oldie, speak to the Porter who always has a good joke and helpful.
A small part of Oxford university, it certainly does not disappoint oneself.
Lovely buildings and surroundings
Porters lodge- extremely helpful!
Best time of my life, great memories!
The only place I have actually been happy!
Only the most awesome college ever
Known for its iconic bridge, the Bridge of Sighs. The first Hertford College began in the 1280s as Hart Hall and became a college in 1740 but was dissolved in 1816. In 1820, the site was taken over by Magdalen Hall, which had emerged around 1490 on a site adjacent to Magdalen College. In 1874, Magdalen Hall was incorporated as a college, reviving the name Hertford College. In 1974, Hertford was part of the first group of all-male Oxford colleges to admit women.
I have the best memories of my life here ;)
Obviously the best educational establishment in the world.
Envy. Best of luck to students!
One of the best educational experiences.
The place stole my hert.
Gorgeous college campus
This place is magnificent
Bridge of sight, hertford Bridge
Very cozy college. From college, exit to the bridge of breaths, which you can get to the Open Day. Full video on our channel. My life in England. Oxford
One of the oldest (st. 13th century), famous and beautiful colleges of the many that exist in Oxford.
An "iconic" bridge of Oxford, i love it.
The Hertford bridge or Bridge of Sighs is very beautiful. To find it, just reach New College Lane at its intersection with Castle Street.
I lived and studied at Hertford College for an intensive English course one August, about 10 years ago. I only have good memories and words of admiration, for the environment, the academic quality, the stay, its architecture, its garden corners.
All of Oxford is interesting to experience, its streets, Radcliffe Square, the immense colleges and university spaces, the typical pubs, its number of choral concerts and live chamber music in the chapels of the colleges or churches, its immense garden cloisters... its various chapels and university dining halls. You can enjoy a lot of culture and sports, all within a stone's throw, on foot or by bike, you can visit where they filmed scenes from Harry Potter and at that time they were filming one of the movies, we saw the entire cast and extras in the Bobdalian Library, right in front of our college. It is the only College with Oxford's most famous bridge: Hertford Bridge.
Coming from Barcelona, the worst thing about Oxford is the food :D but if I had to go live in Oxford, I wouldn't hesitate!
Wonderful place, both the architecture and the environment.
A college that has graduated about 40 Prime Ministers of Great Britain. Exceptionally strong in humanities and public law.
Curious and beautiful bridge between buildings
Famous for the Bridge of Sighs
Very good!
Hertford College is a wonderful establishment, not generally open to the public.
Part of my job taking students out on enrichment days at Oxford University Hertford College
I don't go to this college but it looks cool
Hello. Now I'm 15 years old. And I have never gone to there but I saw it from picture s and I really like. I wish I could study there.
During summerbreak this college offered English courses, and we've been coming back year after year. This college had the most amazing teachers from all over England, Ireland and Wales, who helped us with grammar, culture and plain growing. We've stayed both in families nearby as in the college itself, and both experiences were amazing and worth repeating!
I love the bridge which connect 2 buildings.
Forty-odd years since I was up and I still hanker after Hertford. I believe it is the only College in Oxford with a cat, known as Simpkins, and when one dies another is procured.
