S. W.The staff are fantastic, both Dave and Emma have been very helpful. They squeezed me in at a moments notice when my flat turned out to be uninhabitable so I’m very grateful! Brilliant value for money too!
L.I stayed in Leighton for 3 years while I was at university. The new staff there are great as were some of the previous managers: Tina and Janine.
The building could do with a lot of modernising as some of the cheaper accommodations have a lot more to offer to students.
The maintenance team at Leighton is great and usually gets the job done within 48 hours. However, the maintenance team only consists of one man and the accommodation would highly benefit from another.
The studios are great for one person however it is a bit of a squeeze if it is a dual occupancy.
Leighton would also benefit from more on sight cleaners however the new managers are sorting this out.
The letter collection area in the common room is great and can be accessed at any time of the day.
So other than the modernising that needs to be done, there are not many other issues!
S. G.Amazing! Couldn’t recommend Leighton Hall enough. The price is great and it’s located really close to uni, the shops and pubs/clubs. The staff are really friendly and helpful if you have an issue or need anything and it’s been great being able to have parcels delivered to the office which is something that wasn’t an option at my previous accommodation.
L. L.I've been at Leighton Hall for the past 3 years due to go onto my 4th and I cannot recommend them enough. The location is amazing as it's right next to the campus and only a 5/10 minute walk to the centre. Tina and Emma at the reception are amazing and always extremely helpful. Any issues you have, they will do their best to solve them ASAP. The rooms are spacious and the kitchens are great.
G. F.This is a great place to live, the management team are amazing and can't do enough for you. I feel incredibly safe here with all the gates and key fob doors. The 24hr laundry room is great too. The beds are so comfortable, however it is difficult to find a fitted sheet to fit them because of their awkward size.
The only things I would suggest improving is the bathrooms and the price of parking. I have stayed in two rooms here and in both, the flooring in the bathroom has been coming up. Also the parking is abit too expensive at £15 a week.
But overall, this is a great place to stay. The staff are so friendly and helpful (we love Emma in the office) and it is a great location too.
S. L.Absolutely loved living here. The reception staff are so friendly and helpful, never worried about going to them with a problem! The accommodation is also great for it's price, with 3/4 beds and ensuite bathrooms. There is also plenty of kitchen space and a TV in the kitchen/living area. Always felt safe and comfortable, would definitely recommend!
A. R.The front desk staff are absolutely lovely and always willing to help, and the flat is good for the price range. They have just installed lights right below my window which makes it a bit difficult to sleep at night but maybe some better blinds can fix that. All other issues have been delt with quickly. Happy to spend my last year at uni here
J. B.I've lived in multiple student flats during uni. Leighton hall is by far the best not only for price but the staff are also amazing and extremely helpful. There is almost always free food at reception and the laundry is the cheapest in all the accommodations I've lived in. The rooms are a decent size and for the price you'll struggle to find a better place to spend your time at uni.
m.The accommodation is arguably one of the best for students at UCLAN! It is located right next to the uni, very useful for 9am lectures! The staff are lovely and the price is very reasonable, especially since you get ensuite rooms with a nice sized bed and desk! Been living here for 2 years and will be living there again next year!
E. V.We saw several similar private halls of residence around Preston and without doubt this is by far the best. Exactly like everyone else has already said, the rooms are great - especially the refurbished ones for the price, so cheap and a nice warm feel to it. Tina, Emma and the rest of the team are absolutely fantastic. Any small queries were dealt with immediately. Couldn't recommend this enough.
