Cannot explain the amazing experience I have had living at this accommodation. The manager Tom has made everyone feel so welcome and has made the environment and vibe of the building feel so homely and safe. So glad he is now here as he has made a dramatic improvement to the atmosphere.
Love it !! move here if you like nice rooms, boutique, clean environment and friendly and perfect staff who attend to any of your problems and genuinely care about you.

I spent 2 years at Nido. The management has been getting progressively better since Annie took over and I feel like everything was taken care of quickly. In terms of location, it's perfect since you are at the center of the city and you have everything close to you. The rooms are new, well structured and clean. You are paying way less for way more in comparison to the other facilities in this area. If you want to live alone and avoid paying insane amounts of money this is probably your safest bet. The common area, including the study and cinema rooms, is pretty well done with a chill vibe.
There are cons as well, the fire alarm goes off from time to time due to the negligence of some of the residents and you can hear people talking in the corridors while passing your room. You are better off getting a room on a higher floor.
There are lots of students in the area as well due to the density of student halls so you will definitely feel more of the university life unlike some of the secluded areas of the city. You have a bus stop a minute away from you and lots of big grocery shops close by as well. The management of the place allows you flexibility that you don't get with other places. Like choosing the length of your contract instead of being limited to either 43 or 52 weeks.
All in all, I feel like there was a constant effort to make this an even better accommodation. I cannot stress this enough, but having gone through all possible student halls in the area, this offers hands down one of the best quality of rooms and is by far the cheapest. When you take into account the great location and responsive staff, there is really no place that can rival all those assets. The communication with everyone on site felt flawless and friendly, definitely lacked the awkward official vibe to the receptions of other dorms. If you want a student environment with friendly people around you, at the center of the city, definitely consider visiting Nido.

Visited this accommodation, great building, great location. Good size rooms, the reception were very helpful. Definitely considering booking as one of the best accommodations I've seen so far.

My Grandchild chose The Walls accommodation in September 2016 as it was newly opened and offered private studios with bills included.
The small accommodation block has a range of on site facilities which includes a cinema room, small gym, meeting room, a quiet study area and
laundry room in an excellent city centre location and a short 10 minute walk from Solent University.
There are a good mix of people residing at the accommodation undergraduates, postgraduates and other professions from both the U.K. and overseas who have an opportunity to meet up on event nights which are organised on occasion by the in house staff.
The owners of the accommodation has changed since September 2016
however, I am pleased to say that Stephanie The House Manager remains in her position as she was most helpful last year ,during what is a most stressful time for families who's children or grandchildren are about to leave home for the first time. It was nice to meet her in person on moving in day , as previously we had only spoken by telephone regarding the choice of accommodation and dealing with the relevant paperwork.
Moving in day was a success and it was good for us as a family to know that help would be available should any problem arise with the accommodation or any other matter after we had returned home.
Hopefully 2017/2018 will be as good as the first year spent at the accommodation.

I've been there for three years. The rooms are very clean and comfy, the location is just perfect as its extremely close to the city center and the best thing of it, is the manager that works on it which called "Annie'', she's more than amazing, very friendly and makes life more easier, I just loved Nido because of her.

I had a great stay at the Nido Walls Southampton, really close to town (like a 10 15 min walk) same to Solent uni where I was studying! Annie was amazingly helpful, always looking after us! Rooms were also great but I would recommend a mattress topper! Overall experience 10 out of 10 !!!

The staff are friendly and helpful all around lovely. The place is tidy and clean the cleaner does a great job. The common areas are great with regular movie nights. It's fairly central with easy access to buses. Lidl is just behind the building so easy to get your food. The only reason I won't be rebooking is because Nido have taken over the management of the building. They have some stupid system bronze, gold and silver where you pay more for being on the top floors however there is no difference and no views either. For the money they will be charging next year I can live closer to the university and not have the 40 mins bus ride.

Well my experience with Nido and Annie has been great. I feel people only write bad reviews, But when something nice is to be said then it should be told as well, I think it is a great place to stay and I have rebooked for next year as well. We are kept well informed about everything that is going on, And the place has really improved since Annie looks over. :)

It's a very nice place starting with the person who you meet at the reception (Annie). the room is very clean and its size is suitable for a younger single and couples as well. So, I recommend it for students ...
thanks Annie for your kindness...

Amazing place to stay, it’s really convenient to walk around to the town: walking distance to everywhere. Especially I like the fact that there’s lightening for the cooking area (below the cupboard), nice

I stayed at The Walls for a short term let over the summer. Lovely friendly staff with good knowledge of the local area. Accommodation is modern but rooms get very warm.

They just added a bench and multifunctional bar system. It really shows that they care about students at this time when commercial gyms are not always the best option.
