M. R.I lived here whilst doing my master's degree in 2016/17. First, may I say that an experience here depends on who your flatmates are and I got so lucky. Mine were all fabulous and we got on so well. I know that for others, their experience was colored by their flatmate experience. That being said, this was a nice place to live considering it is student housing. Block D backs up to the lake, so it is wonderful, quiet, and has a nice view. The kitchen is cleaned once a week and the en-suite bathroom once every six weeks. The mattress was terrible, but what can you do when it is student housing. The nucleus building is only a 1-minute walk away and it is easy to pick up post from there (if it doesn't fit in your mail box). The key card entry can be a bit difficult at times, but I really enjoyed my time living here and would recommend it for any graduate student studying at York.
