First class service in the hair salon my granddaughter who is training to be a hairdresser has fine a amazing colour in my hair transformed it ✂️.

Good parking. Difficult to access the building as security on reception were deliberately ignoring. We call a central security mobile number who assured us he would contact security who werw ignoring us on the other side of a sliding door. After taking a call - I wonder who from ? - the door was unlocked The facility itself was clean and good

Went to the hair and beauty department for a perm and a hair cut. The price was real good and the student who did my hair did an awesome job. Masks and shields worn by students whilst dealing with customers and masks only for the students working else where. I had a great experience, and my hair turned out better than expected. I know that since covid came along the students are really short on live models to practice on, so if your wanting your hair doing at a super price and you have a couple of hours to spare then this is your place to get your hair done. The students are closely monitored by their lovely lecturers and every step is checked before progressing to the next. Car parking was simple, just went to reception and asked for a parking permit. So get yourself a good value hair do.

Went for an external training course. Room offered was extremely small with no ventilation and no guest WiFi. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful and parking was good.

York College has a great hospitality department. They have a restaurant on site where the students can put their knowledge into practice. Throughout the year (during term time) they organise a series of themed events, and you can go and sample the food. The standard is excellent and the presentation is second to none. I have attended these events for many years and it doesn’t disappoint! This is definitely a hidden gem and if you haven’t been, then I would highly recommend you try it out! There’s free parking so you don’t have to worry about driving into town and paying for parking! The photos will give you a taster...

So far I'm enjoying the course, well actually I'm hating all the homework as the current pandemic has made it extremely hard and difficult to study and learn new topics independently. But the college is still extremely well resourced compared to other colleges.

York College is one of the nicest collage ever! The Teachers are nice they will help you if you are lost. The restaurant is outstanding at York Collage because the food is so lovely and the waiters are so polite and happy great foods! and the best chocolate brownie ever! and lovely manger!

Had an up and down experience with the college during my access course for many reasons. HOWEVER, there is one teacher who is incredible, she knows who she is - she shines like a beautiful beacon against the mire of frustrating inadequacies I have experienced during my time at this institution. If anyone is taking biology at access level, you're in for a treat!

I am a parent of a student doing plastering at york college, the special clothing my son had to have for the course had to be through a company called arco over the phone. I rang them and placed the order and made payment in early september, despite the many phone calls I have made to them, my son still has not received all the order. The only items that have arrived are boots and goggles, and they took weeks to come!. Because my son did not have the full protective clothing he ended up with big blisters on his hands and has ruined clothes. arco's motto is 'experts in safety'..what a joke!.I would advise people not to order things from arco as they obviously cannot cope with supply and demand. My son is enjoying his course at college but the college should use another supplier instead of arco.
