Reviews of White Cross Vets
L. S.
wouldn't go to any other vet! they are amazing with
my dog max! who became ill yesterday called them and straight away got max in! me personally would recommend white cross vet to anyone! they are all brilliant! also thank you so much for looking after max
N. Y.
This was the first vet I have been to and it was the best decision I have made. The staff are so helpful and lovely, they treat animals with respect and are so gentle with them. Every time I brought my cat, they made her experience less stressful and took good care of her. Sadly, I lost her last month and the compassion and support the staff members showed when she was put to sleep was heartwarming. I am incredibly grateful for the amazing service I have received from White Cross Vets.
J. M.
Fantastic, my vets is closed may not re open, I book for emergency consultation and they saw me within 2 hours. Can't thank them enough staff were amazing xx registering with them was so easy.

I dealt with Peter at the practice today. Really helpful and informative and compassionate. Gave us all options available to us to help our cat. Arranged follow up calls to check in on us. Thank you Peter for all your help during a difficult experience

I wouldn't go anywhere else. The entire team are so lovely and real animal lovers. They treat my cats with great respect and kindness. I have had two cats neutered there over the years and also gone through more serious visits when my cat injured his pelvis and another required cancer surgery. They always communicated so well and in both cases my cats recovered better than ever from their ordeals.
Very knowledgeable on all pet related subjects, they have also been there for me when my previous cat died and provided a dignified consultation to arrange cremation.

My pet Gerbil had a scent gland tumour that had been rapidly developing for the last few weeks, and causing discomfort for him.
I Decided it was best to have the little guy put to sleep, so he could pass peacefully,
Must have called around 8 or so vets multiple times across the week but could not get an appointment. Upon calling WhiteCross I spoke to a super kind receptionist that was understanding of the situation and were happy to fit us in. Came in and both the receptionists and the Vet were understanding and sympathetic and now my gerbil is now in a better place after being PTS.
Thanks again, :)
M. M.
Always welcome both human and dogs with a smile and hello. They listen to what you have to say . Everything is explained treatment and cost. I do have the wellness plan which I would recommend.

After 20+ years using previous vets, I chose Whitecross after seeing so many recommendations online and it is within walking distance to my home. The staff have always been courteous, professional and friendly since I have been using them.
R. J.
They provide the best for every type of pet and ensure they’re comfortable throughout their visit whether they are sociable or don’t like other animals they’re in safe hands
S. W.
Occasional and surprising rudeness from reception staff but outweighed by some exceptional vets and nurses.Too expensive now if not paying through insurance so have had to go elsewhere for vetinary treatment.

They saw my dog within 24 hours of contacting them & emailing details of her illness. Very professional & friendly, so much so my dog didn't want to leave & loves going to see them, she's never stressed & loves the attention they all give her.

There is a car park to rear. Appointment ran on time and smoothly lovely receptionist and vet nurse was also very professional offered all the options to allow us to get required tablets short term or long term. Very pleased and would recommend.
D. B.
Staff is always lovely and they could sqeeze me for an emergency appointment quite They actually care about the wellbeing of my puppy 🐶

We recently had to say a very unexpected and very quick goodbye to our beloved dog. The staff were amazing in how they treated our poorly little dog and then, when the sad news had to be conveyed, the vet was compassionate and supportive. Our pet was treated with dignity in her last few moments and I was allowed to hold her and spend those precious moments with her.
When it came time to collect her ashes, the receptionist was amazing. Her caring and support was so appreciated. A very lovely condolence card with a packet of forget me nots was with our little one too.
Thank you to everyone at White Cross Vets.
M. P.
It's expanded, so there is a lot more room. I was seen quickly and the vet eas professional.
J. A.
Lovely vets practice, always go out of their way to be helpful. High quality care. Saw Peter today with my dog and he was so lovely, explaining everything every step of the way and listened to my questions. Lucy is also a fantastic vet who always goes out of her way to get my dogs sorted. The nurses are absolutely ace, the receptionists are very kind. Theyve been fantastic this year even during the difficulties of a pandemic. Wouldnt go anywhere else.
N. S.
I have been with a previous vet but felt they snubbed my mix breed dog but white cross vets welcomed us with open arms and shown nothing but love to my luna
R. E.
What a lovely nice friendly vet to take your dog they really look after you and your dog. Would recommend.

Recently had to take my six month old puppy as he had chewed some tablets as soon as I rang white cross they said to bring him straight to them, they took him straight in gave him an injection and kept him for the rest of the day. They kept me informed of what was happening throughout the time he was there, I am very pleased with the way they dealt with this as it was very worrying for me my puppy came home very happy and well. Thank you white cross
D. M.
Excellent service, totally reassured me and very compassionate towards my nervous cat
E. R.
I always find the staff at White Cross Kings Heath to be friendly, caring and kind. Everything about our rabbits needs are fully explained, and we are alerted to any costs involved. I am always confident that the service will be as efficient and professional as possible.
C. J.
Thank you to the Whitecross Vets Team at Kings Heath for their excellent support when our dog Tilly was unwell recently. The reception staff did their best to get an appointment. Despite Covid, when we attended the appointment staff were friendly & approachable. After seeing our dog who was anxious & pain, the vet came outside to explain problem & treatment plan.
c. m.
I’ve just switched to the practice at Kings Heath. The Reception team were warm and welcoming, as was the vet. Treatment options were explained clearly. My dog was very comfortable with the team here and I would highly recommend them.
D. S.
Wonderful staff who do everything they can to ensure my highly reactive German Shepherd's wellbeing.

I have brought my beatuiful dog Teddy to White Cross vets for a number of years and have always been impressed by the kindness, dedication and professionalism of the staff until this week. My special fur friend was taken very ill early this week and I rang the vets at 9am as he desperately needed to be seen. I was told the vets were fully booked and so he could not be seen and I was asked to monitor him and if he got worse to call them back by lunch time. I did this and was advised to get a urine sample from him, which was impossible to do as he was just so poorly. I was advised that if I could not do this then he would have to attend the surgery so they could take a sample of urine from his bladder. However they couldt do this for 2 weeks due to their workload. This may have been too late for my dog. The nurse and vet would not see my dog.
I was so desperate for help that I called a different vets and had a video consultation in which he said that my dog needed to be seen that same day as he was so I'll.
In desperation I called White Cross vets back and fortunately I spoke to a different receptionist and vet who asked me to bring my dog straight in.
I am so grateful for the kindness, support and professionalism that the vet Lucy have to my dog. He is now on the road to recovery. This has restored my faith in going back to this vets.

Even with covid19 measures still in place to a certain extent my cats health/wellbeing are well catered for and I am very pleased with how the entire staff function to provide such a pleasant and satisfactory service
B. W.
Incredibly friendly staff who are very knowledgeable, too. They care loads about their customers - both human and animal and it really shows
R. R.
Took my cat Beau there as he was having toilet trouble. I emailed the night before and the next day he was seen. He had stress cystitis. He was given his medications and within 24hrs he was going to the toilet normally! He finished all his meds and now he's back to his normal self. I'd highly recommend this vets. 😁 lovely and friendly and affordable.
J. O.
All the staff are so lovely to Milo wouldn't go any where else.
G. P.
A really personable vets practice that are reliable and friendly and warm. Totally trust in them.
F. O.
Took my little fur baby in for her injections today, the receptionist Margaret is lovely and nothing was too much for her. Excellent service and their wellness plan is brilliant value for money. So happy I signed up my puppy to this vets and I advise others to as well.
T. D.
I would highly recommend white cross vets for both routine checkups and more complicated procedures. My two dogs have always received the biggest welcome and the most genuine attentive care on every visit. Following complications after my dog broke her toe, she had to spend a week at the vets on a drip. We had to drop her off every morning and collect her at night. All of the staff made such a fuss of her that during the week she very quickly began to love going to the vet. On follow up visits she would wait excitedly to see the nurse or vet and pull me into the consultation room! Everything is explained clearly and you really do receive the best of care. I love the little touches - the ‘top dog’ bandanas and the get well cards signed by the staff!! Thanks to all of the staff you do an amazing job!!
K. W.
White Cross Vets are simply brilliant. The best I've ever used. I've used them for several years now. Recently I had to rush my wee tabby in during lock down as a local cat had scratched her eye, it was weeping, swollen eyelids and she was in a lot of pain. Despite being fully booked the vet double booked her in to ensure she was treated.
M. B.
Always a great experience, for my dog Rio, all the staff are friendly & professional.
I had to take Rio, as an emergency as his stomach was swollen and hard, he was in pain, he was sorted out so quickly and professionally & caring way. Would highly recommend White Cross Vets. Thank you so much.
C. M.
Have been bringing my cat here for 2 months now and had very positive experiences every time. All staff I've met have been very helpful and friendly, and the vets/nurses clearly know their jobs well, and are great with the animals they're seeing.
Monthly care plan is highly recommended, as there is so much included that would cost you a lot more at usual prices.
Easy enough to get to either by car or bus, with some parking right outside.
I. H.
We recently moved from another vet to Whitecross. We didn't think that our previous vet gave us any credit for knowing our dogs and she used to talk over us. Totally different case with Whitecross. They take their time, listen to your concerns and treat your pet accordingly and with compassion. The receptionists are a little wacky, but lovely. First class service
M. R.
I couldn’t be any more happier with the service I received today. We were visiting the area & my dog was in a bad way with an allergy & they made our trauma as simple as possible. So helpful & very friendly. My dog is so much happier this eve. Thank you all so much especially Susanne. Very much appreciated

I've taken my Roxy here a few times and every time she's greeted with such love and joy by the practice nurses and vets, they love to make a fuss of her which she thoroughly enjoys! The vets I've seen have been very professional, have listened to concerns and have given very good advice which has worked for her over the last few months. I would highly recommend this practice for your furbabies
K. G.
Amazing service considering the current restrictions. Everyone was really friendly and they've clearly put in place effective procedures to ensure you're still completely informed and reassured that your pet is receiving the best care.
N. B.
Fantastic clinic; thoughtful, professional, always go the extra mile. From the absolute worst to the most basic of needs taking you to the vet, they leave you impressed. And without emptying your bank account. Best choice for you, your pet and your pocket. Both my cats love their visits to the nurse (pity they don't recall that when I'm trying to shoe horn them into the cat carrier!)
P. C.
Came here with my cat as the vet we have used for years has changed hands and they don't seem to care much any more. Couldn't be more different! This practice is cheerful the minute you walk in the door. Receptionists are positively charming and the vet was friendly but professional. She explained everything incredibly clearly without having to be questioned. Most important was the way they treated my cat - I have absolute confidence that he will get the best help he needs with genuine kindness. Thank you.
M. E.
Had to take kitten for 6 month check with the nurse, excellent service. Really friendly and knowledgeable. I got home and realised my other kitten hadn’t had her check up so phoned and they fitted me in the same morning. Again great service. Both cats fully health checked and wormed. Would highly recommend.
D. S.
The best vets I’ve ever used. The staff are always so friendly and you can see the love they have for all the pets that come into the practice, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They have given my dog the best care at all times. Highly recommendable.
S. B.
This is my first puppy and first ever vet practice. I am very happy with the excellent service and staff. They are friendly and always give lots of positive care and attention to my little one. Decided on this practice after googling best vets in birmingham...and so far so good. Thank you
E. P.
Caring staff... Not just towards our fur babies but towards us humans! Had our little Princess spayed and nothing but praise towards the whole team at white Cross. They are all so genuine and loving. Our little one was in good hands and the aftercare is a wow service also. Thank you 😁

I have visited White Cross vets several times over the past few years and have always received excellent service from start to finish. The reception staff are very helpful always going out of their way to squeeze you in for an appointment when it is necessary. The vets are friendly and informative and always have the animals interest at heart. I feel totally confident with their care for my dog and can not speak highly enough of them.
J. B.
My dog has been going to white cross vets ever since he was a puppy and I have always had excellent service. Today I took the new addition for her first vet appointment and for her vaccination and the vet was brilliant with her! Once again, amazing service from a caring vets. Highly recommend this practice

Absolutely amazing !!
All the staff are great. They take the time to listen, appointments are never rushed, always give good advice (even for wounds on humans caused by pets).
Always a bowl of water available for thirsty dogs and a mop for any accidents.
All staff are friendly, nurses and reception staff are always ready for a cuddle or scruff and there's always a jar of treats on the reception desk.
I just can't fault these guys, I guess that's why I've been using them since they first opened this practice.
Keep up the good work 😍🐾💋🐾

This vets is fabulous and I can't rate them highly enough. I've been in a few times with my elderly cat and have seen the wonderful vet Peter. He is knowledgeable, friendly and so kind. All the staff I have met are just ace, it has a lovely atmosphere and is always super clean. Thank you from me (Kitty) and my fur babies Princess Norris & TomCat. Actually Princess Norris is still getting over the indignity of her temperature being taken... but I'm sure she'll be thankful soon!
L. W.
Lovely friendly staff, our dog was not himself one Saturday morning, we called up and was told to come up rite away so they would slot us in, literally waited 5 minutes when called. The vets we have seen so far have been so very attentive and explained everything. They seem like they genuinely care, unlike a previous vets we attended.
L. A.
I must say all the staff are so kind, caring and helpful. From when you first enter you are greeted by a friendly, smiley receptionist who is polite and deals with you quickly. Waiting times are very short before you are called in. All the vets and nurses are very caring and informative. I really can't sing there praises enough! both me and my puppy love going there! thank u for your fantastic service all staff should be acknowledged and praised!!!!
W. F.
This is the best vets I have ever used and we have had animals for 35 years. The staff are fantastic, they just love the dogs and always make a fuss of them. We recently had to have a cat put to sleep and they could not have been more supportive or sympathetic.
This is the gold standard for vets as far as I am concerned.
A. T.
Best vets I've ever been too. Friendly receptionists who are lovely to people and pets alike. Vetinary staff are knowledagble and caring and I don't worry when my dogs have to stay in the vets for any reason as I know they will be loved and looked after during their stay. Appointment reminders sent my text message. Open when you aren't in work and fit pets in for emergencies when needed. Would highly recommend.
G. M.
Incredibly busy vets. But once seen it's apparent that every member of staff in there loves animals and takes pride in what they do. My boy was seen to in a professional manner. All in all happy with my experience and happy to recommend.
E. G.
Staff very friendly and warm, they add a personal touch which I've found lacking at other vets. They are realistic with their treatment and the prices and actually listen to the owner rather than tell you their policy. So glad my mom recommended them.
l. c.
Love this vets, from the fantastic reception staff, to the lovely nurses and the very caring vets themselves, wouldn’t take my Benji or Kizzy anywhere else
H. S.
I have been using this vet for years. First with our fosterdog, and now with our rescue cat. My daughter and some of her friends also use this vet. When our fosterdog had to be put to sleep everyone that knew him had tears. He was a right character. They lit the candle out in the waiting area to signal to others that a fur baby had passed. The level of dedication of this vet surgery is amazing. The compassion, the patience for the fur babies, the patience with owners, it's behind just work. All the staff have their own pets and pictures are all over the place. And in an emergency there is always a slot to be had. They never told us to find elsewhere. Even on a Saturday. I just can't sing their praises high enough and am glad to be able to go to them.
A. J.
Lovely welcoming and modern vets practice. I moved my 2 cats here a couple of years ago ea they are better value and have longer opening hours than my previous vets. All staff are knowledgeable and friendly and always put the animals first. Good text remiderr service too.
d. b.
Called the vet as our boxer collapsed in the garden they said bring her straight up,went straight in no waiting. Dominic the vet saw Casey and called us with updates. He was very professional he then came outside and explained everything to us.
C. D.
White Cross are a brilliant vets, with fantastic staff. I have had past experience with my staff Jess and when the time came to say goodbye they were professional, supportive and compassionate. Today I took my elderly cat Sox, who is 15, for a MOT and his vaccinations........doing very well for his age, just needs some dental work in the near future. Again looked after well and again the staff were marvelous and the prices are reasonable. You couldn't find a better place or people to look after your fur babies....or any other pet you have. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
J. P.
Lovely staff lovely vets and nurses who look after my Kenzie boy brilliantly.
The wellness plan is definitely worth taking out,the service given is the best and they never rush you in and out .
Top vets with genuine caring staff highly recommended.

First time taking my new puppy to the vets. I'm really bad with names but the receptionist and the vet herself were so helpful and friendly and made myself and my puppy feel extremely welcome. Great service.
S. Z.
As a mom to 2 German shepherds and 3 cats it's good to know that my furkids are in good hands as and when lve needed to bring them to Whitecross Vets. The warm, friendly and caring attitude starts as soon as you enter the clinic from the lovely reception staff. The vet nurses and doctors are highly experienced and extremely attentive. If you have an emergency they always manage to fit you in what more could you ask for!
S. M.
My cat is 14yo and hasn't been to a vet since she was neutered! So she resisted strongly to getting in the basket and was v stressed (as I was too!) when we arrived late.
Staff were kind and understanding and after having the Felliway impregnated towel whilst waiting Ella is calmed down miraculously.
Vet was straightforward with her diagnosis, not good news but delivered gently.
Well impressed with the team.
W. B.
I just wanted to post again this time to compliment and thank All of the staff from the receptionists to the vets for their professionalism and love and compassion They showed My beloved Ruby they were all diamond's
A. F.
Our little Princess is not one for the vets; she was admitted at 08.00 yesterday the time for her to take a trip to the vets she was here to have a fatty lump removed.
I was worried so did not want to leave her fearing the worse but staff assured me she will be be fine she is in good hands, so that made me relax the waiting game was over st 12.00 Pebbles nurse called to say that the operation went and that she has been out for a walk and a little food was eaten and she is now resting that was music to my ears.
Went in for her at 17.50 she must of know I had walked through the door because as I sat down I could hear her barking what a relief.
All in White Cross are outstanding vets no task to small or to big when it comes to your pets they are first class they get my vote for vet of the year and staff well done guys keep the good work up.

REBECCA OLIVIA EMILY Saved our cat
Helped our cat. That was unable to walk properly. They looked after Sheba daily in 2018.
Three main vets are the best. Others are great too but I do not remember their name spoke clear well mannered supportive gave all options Didnt force you to do anything that you do not want to do UNLIKE OAK VETS trying to bully us to put our cat down, and locked us up in a room until we sign the consent form to agree. Deliberately made a mistake on the clinical records saying administered synthadon when they already told me they gave meta cam and I saw it my self . Keep away from oaks vets they do not care. White cross referred our cat to physio therapy acupuncture and hydrotherapy treatments and our cat was hit by our neighbour with a heavy object this is what made our cats spine become injured so badly that our cat couldn’t walk. Anyway acupuncture and physio helped our cat walk play jump eat poo again.
The nurses would also look after my hamster and clip his nails.
All the staff here were supportive and lovely thank you to all the vets and the receptionist
My dad was very impressed with these vets out of every vet we went to he said that white cross vets were the most empathetic and most caring loving and genuine .

I can't give enough praise to the staff and service at White Cross in Kings Heath. Our 10 year old Labrador, Maxi, had an operation to remove two very large fatty lumps this week and have his teeth cleaned. The staff were absolutely brilliant. I was nervous about Maxi having a general anaesthetic and surgery, but when I arrived to collect him, he was full of beans. Maxi came bounding out of the consulting room with a very smart looking neckerchief saying "Top Dog". The staff had personalised and all signed a get well card with his photograph on which contained his post-op advice. We are insured with Pet Plan and White Cross handled all of the claim without me even needing to give our policy number so that we only paid the insurance excess. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We wouldn't go anywhere else.
N. F.
Absolutely brilliant vets! My dog Lollie has been going to this practice since she was 11 weeks old. Vets, nurses and reception staff are always friendly and make a huge fuss of her every time we visit. Lollie was recently in for an operation to remove a tumour and she was so well treated while she was there, when we went back 2 days post op I thought she may be a bit reluctant, but she feels so welcome that she just walked in and sat down waiting for her appointment! I can’t recommend them enough, even my mom, dad and my aunts dogs are registered with them! And they all say the same thing! I can’t thank them enough for looking after my beautiful baby and thanks to them I will have her for a lot longer due to them getting her in for her operation ASAP.
L. K.
I’ve been using White Cross for my dogs vaccines and other needs for some years now, we always see smiley faces on arrival and the vets always make my boy feel at ease during his checkup’s. I’ve just got his first passport so he can join us abroad later this month, the staff have been so helpful throughout the whole process. Definitely 5 star service.
A. B.
White Cross Vets have been amazing!! Our little kitty Georgie was very sick this week and they have taken so much care of her. They did an operation and Georgie is recovering now after having an unknown object removed from her stomach 🙀 We cannot thank the wonderful vet Antonio and the nurses for all the care and attention they gave her!
