OK vets but staff need to communicate better with each other and listen to the client about their dogs needs. I needed a repeat prescription and a male receptionist insisted I had to bring my dog in for a medical review before I could get her medication, I knew she wasn't due a review, but he wouldn't budge, "no review no medication" was all he would say, just as I was going to make an appointment (as she can't live without her medicine!) another member of staff came out with her medicine saying she wasn't due a review! , I said to the male receptionist (not nastily) "maybe you need listen to the customer next time" he strugged and walked off. Staff training needed.

Took my hamster buddy into your vets sheldon, although sadly he was put down they did explain everything really well and felt reassured that he wouldn't be in pain whilst they put him to sleep. Came home the following Wednesday to find they'd sent me a condolences card to say sorry for the loss of buddy. Didn't expect that, but it was so thoughtful of them and shows the staff care about the animals they treat. Would highly recommend this vets to any who's looking for a decent vets for their pet

My cat Toby was sadly put down on Saturday at the age of 13 after losing his battle with cancer. YourVets Sheldon were very compassionate, understanding and respectful. I am very grateful for their support, advice and care given to the very end. Thank you

Lovely caring staff, free parking available. Update - recently I had to make the decision to put my 13 year old cat to sleep. The care that we received from the practice was amazing. Our large breed dog is nervous of men, and they were so understanding, changing to a female vet who allowed us to have our annual booster in the car park so we could stay with our dog. Very helpful and patient, we have a blue roan cocker spaniel that has paw problems, the vets 1st priority is always making my dog comfortable and then testing different option to see what works and what doesn't, now he is on steroids (one per day) for 3 months and the vet is happy to do a repeat prescription so we don't have to make my dog uncomfortable going back and forth, this had helped massively and his previously blistered raw paws are not healthy looking, great vets and receptionist

My hamster had to be put to sleep today, due to a tumour. The staff were lovely, caring and understanding. When my hamster passed away, they wrapped her up in a crochet blanket. Thank you very much. All of the staff there are extremely friendly and care about your pets, I had to take our dog Logan there on Thursday, he had really bad diarrhoea, they are very careful to keep social distance, they have traps across from the wall to a post, you go and register that you have arrived, either a nurse or a vet comes out and takes your pet into the surgery. Logan's diarrhoea cleared up within 36hrs of being treated.

I recently visited YourVets Sheldon. My reason for the visit from Long Eaton was because I needed an animal health certificate which my own vet could not provide. I found the whole team extremely helpful and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble. Professional from start to finish. I cannot praise Michelle and the rest of the team enough. They took the time to ensure our dog was comfortable and at ease. So from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you all ❤️. We are finally back in Ireland with our girl and she's absolutely loving life by the sea. Just a little reminder to those with pets that may (god forbid) need to bring them to a vet for treatment. Spare a little thought for the guys and gals working tirelessly around the clock to ensure your fur babies get the best of care. It's never easy for anyone working in these unpresidented times and under immense pressure. A little thank you and a smile goes a long way. Thanks again to all at YourVets Sheldon. Keep up the good work 😊

Large place - dog area & cat area (little animals too I'm guessing) Polite friendly staff who treat your pet as you would. Given advice in a professional manner, they know that to you your pet is more than a pet. Nice touch is a candle when it's a light it's an indication that someone has lost a pet & your show of respect by being silent would be appreciated. Can be expensive but personally & I think in nearly all cases your pet is worth every penny.

This is the first time I've been to these vets since they moved,although I've used for years,what a lovely clean place. Took my 13 year old cat pebbie to be looked at as she wasn't eating. Was seen by mike, who was extremely pleasant and explained everything pebbie now how to go back to have dental work but I know she will be in good hands. Had to take cat with injury. Wasnt allowed into the building so consultation was done from the carpark (so not very private). Cat was taken away, treated and brought back to the carpark. Can imagine this isn't very workable for nervous or anxious animals. Also hope by the time the autumn weather arrives, we arent all left waiting in the car park for our animals. Obviously the covid virus is to blame for this but plans must be made to accommodate the weather.

I have a cat called Minnie who has visited this vets many times. I had one bad experience at the beginning, I cannot remember the name of the vet, all I remember is a european accent, he didn’t seem too bothered, and gave no advice unless prompted, I mean what am I paying a consultation fee for? Minnie has had anything from minor issues, to a having a canine extracted, this procedure was carried out by Kieran, who I cannot recommend enough, very caring and knowledgable. Mike is also brilliant, and I highly praise both for what they do. I cannot speak for any other vet at this practice, as I only prefer my Minnie to be seen by either Kieran or Mike. Booking an appointment is quick and even same day sometimes, and the place is clean with friendly reception staff. Update: I took Minnie for her boosters today (4th July) and she was seen by Matt, who is also great at what he does & very down to earth. Recommended 👌🏽

Getting an appointment was quick and easy via phone and they were able to work to my schedule. The staff are really friendly both on the phone and in person and are quick to see you when you arrive. The vets are friendly, welcoming and do put the dog (animal) at ease before examining them. Any medication required is requested whilst you are in the room and when you leave you ask reception staff who have seen the request and action.... Overall really good and would recommend 💯 to take your beloved pet ... Even my dog is more than happy to attend and is completely stress free when visiting.

Advertised as cheapest or rather best value vets out there..so a general 2 minute checkup for cat costs over £100 and follow up blood test and dental over £ 400!!!

Good place to register your pets at. They're friendly, good prices and it's a lovely small place. Really easy to get to, via car, bus or train. Though they do not have their own car park. They are only open at the moment during the week and if there was an emergency during the weekend, especially Sundays.... you must go to Coventry.

Got an appointment very quickly.. Very nice Vet.. Only problem I have is that I thought these Vets were supposed to be cheaper for people on Benefits etc but I thought the price was very expensive for the exam and 2 injections cost me £90.. They wanted to admit my cat for a blood test and a drip but that would have cost in the region of £300-£400 which I thought was astronomical.. Shame about the pricing because it was a lovely place

Sadly My Dog Passed away. I wasn't sure if YourVets did a dog cremation service , So I rang a couple of places they all sounded like a sales person more interesting in the money the way they sounded. So I thought I'll ring YourVets ask if they can point me in the right direction. Then found out YourVets they do a dog cremation service. The female on the phone sounded friendly Polite and genuine. When I arrived I never had to wait long and the Male and Female vet that came to take my dog we're very professional. I would like to thank Both the Vets, Especially the Female vet I think she had brown hair seemed friendly and understanding. You can tell she wasn't there for the money or i was just treated like just like another paying customer. The price was cheaper then the other vets and I recommend this place for your dog treatments etc etc. Have used the older branch round the corner in the past, before they moved to Radley Island and found the staff, Service and prices cheaper and better then other vets. Thank you very much YourVets God bless you keep up the good work.

I have always dealt with Kieran Patel, an amazing young man who treated Coral my cat for mast cell tumors in 2019. 😸 Glad to say she is still with us and I can't thank Kieran and all the staff enough, that were involved with her treatment and recovery. I’ve inherited a spaniel due to Covid and wanted to continue with his regular vets as they know him. I’ve had cause to contact them twice in 6 months and each time they have been absolutely brilliant - especially as they are working in Covid conditions. So friendly, helpful and a very efficient service. I’d been with my old vets for 30 years and was quite reluctant to change, however, I would thoroughly recommend Yourvets Sheldon and am very happy with the care my boy gets!

After taking my dog to the wythall practice on 4 separate occasions with Lula, the issue she had did not improved. I booked an appointment with Matthew at Sheldon......He straight away arranged a scan and diagnosed the problem that day. Appropriate medication given and after 10 days she was back to her happy self..... I can't speak high enough of this vet. The whole practice is head and shoulders above others in this group.... Thank you for sorting my girl.

Brought my dog mini into the sheldon vets for her dental operation. Very happy with the staff for there care and friendliness towards mini. Only downside was not informing me on her progress as we had her in at 8am and I had to take it into my own hands as I was getting worried and called the vets at 4:10pm to see how she was. Luckily she was doing well and had no complications on her operation. Took her home an hour and a half later after my call and they advised us on her medication and she’s been at home with no issues and is safe and happy.
