Registered my new pup here on the phone and advice was forthcoming before I'd even got my pup. Seconded but a wonderful experience when I took her for her shots. Friendly and helpful staff on the desk and vet Henry was kind and caring. Took his time to check her over as part of the consult and imparted loads of advice. Highly professional with a gentle human touch that immediately put my puppy at ease. Sad to read the poor reviews on here and felt compelled to give an up to date experience of this delightful local practice.

My dog Zeus loves coming here! I think that’s because of the treats he gets…but it’s also because of the brilliant, fantastic, wonderful staff. Everyone, from the lead vet to the nurses and all the staff, they are all super. So caring and friendly and extremely helpful. They go above and beyond to make you feel cared for. I have 3 cats and went in with a couple of them recently. The two vets and their assistants, front line staff and nurses couldn't have been more helpful. I would recommend this practise to anyone who has a pet.

I have been a customer of St Francis for over 17 years. It is a friendly, caring surgery and they always put the needs of animals first. The vets are very good with the animals and explain clearly to the owners about illnesses and treatment. I have had a lot of free advice over the years, and the practice has even taken in and treated injured wildlife without payment. The costs are not high, especially compared to other vets in Brighton. If I have ever had to wait longer for an appointment it is because a very poorly animal has been rushed in to be treated quickly. Triaging is the sign of an intelligent, responsible, caring vet, even if it's annoying for impatient customers.

Ive been taking my cat here since I got him, and I've read all the negative reviews posted here with sadness. I can honestly say that all the staff - nurses, receptionists and vets - have always been amazing, sensitive and caring. As mentioned in some reviews, their prices have gone up, and they no longer do payment plans which is a problem for a low earner like me, and may eventually be a reason for me leaving. However I cannot fault them on customer care, and would highly recommend this surgery.

Prompted to write a review when a friend said how fantastic St Francis is after years of going to other vets. I had two cats over about 25 years treated like princes by everyone there. Thank you. Superb, kind, hard-working & delightful staff all...they've earned their name. You never feel rushed or cheated because they're 100% about the animals' welfare. I almost wish I still had a cat just so I could visit occasionally.

Brilliant staff, brilliant service and reasonable prices. We almost got severely stung by another vet (Companion Care in Hove who delete all of their bad reviews on a regular basis, avoid them), went here for a second opinion and the price reduced by half of what we had previously been quoted! They treated our dog over the course of a few weeks, all sorted now and he's a happy little dog now. Can't recommend enough. Thank you to all at St Francis'.

Best vets I've had - I was recommended them by a friend after being disappointed with my previous vets, and I couldn't be happier with them. Both vets are so kind and know each of their furry patients really well, as well as being really experienced and vets you can trust. I have dogs and cats, and both vets are equally good with both animals. My cat is an unfriendly so-and-so, but she loves Shaun - he got her to purr on their first meeting! I couldn't recommend them more.

I've had pets for longer than I can remember and since I discovered St Francis vets I've never worried about the care my pets will and do recieve. I've taken my rats, rabbits and cats all there. The staff are genuine and very evidently love what they do. Even my awkward pets completely relax around the hard working and earnest staff. No other practice comes close. A 5 star service from a 5 star city vet in the heart of Brighton. Our beautiful little hampster, Harry, had his nails clipped by the amazing Philip. We were looked after in the warm, welcoming and cosy vet from the moment we walked through the door. I can't rate this vet enough. And very affordable prices!!! I will be going back in future. No where else has this amazing feel and service. All of the staff are so friendly and Philip is our star!!! we were so unhappy with the vets we'd used before that we thought we'd try St Francis. They are wonderful. I've lost count of the visits where no fee was charged when other vets I'd used seem to have a policy of giving £45+ shots just because you've walked through the door. We moved to Worthing and were estimated a ridiculous price for dental work on our beloved kitties so we are back and very happy with St Francis where the vets and nurses really love the animals

These are brilliant vets and have looked after my two cats for the last 16 years. Sadly, due to kidney failure, one of them recently had to be put to sleep, but not after St Francis tried everything they could to put her right. They have been incredibly supportive throughout her illness and I really can't recommend them highly enough. They're such friendly practice and their love of animals is clear to see.

Incredible place. After coming here I would never take my bunny anywhere else. They are attentive, kind and efficient. They genuinely care and Sean is literally an animal angel. All animals adore him and actually enjoy seeing him. Best place ever, couldn't recommend it enough.

St Francis are fabulous, it feels like your taking your pet to extended family. I took my Frenchie to be castrated and they noticed he had a hernia that they dealt with at the same time. I had also asked them to xray my dogs previously broken leg at the same time, Sean the very advised me that I didn't need the xray as Rupert my dog appeared fine, thus saving an unnecessary cost. Sean the vet was so kind, he didn't rush me and he happily answered my questions on a check up. Would highly recommend. The staff are very lovely, so thanks all.

Absolutely so grateful to Dr Nuno and all the staff at Saint Francis for saving my cat from a horrid cancerous tumor. I had the living daylights scared out of me by coastway vets who said they didn't think she had enough neck skin for the operation! I was so reassured in every way at St Francis and Lavender was out of her collar in 6 days! This 15year old cat has a new spring in her step! Thank you so so much for the work you do XXX

Every occasion where my dog has needed the support of st francis both in and out side of the surgery they have been there and saved the day. I’ve previously given the surgery 4 stars, but was shocked by the extremely rude and condescending nurse on reception this evening (01/11). She happened to be working this evenings shift with another nurse whom I heard being really rude to a woman on the phone a few months ago. I could hear the woman sounding distraught on the other end and this nurse was incredibly rude. She then proceeded to loudly mock the woman after getting off the phone. Perhaps her demeanour has rubbed off on the awful nurse I had to deal with at reception this evening! That said, I’ve met with plenty of lovely nurses and a couple of decent vets in my few months of using St Francis. The surgery is also very fairly priced.

I was extremely lucky to find such acomodating, compassionate vets, their flexibility, and the ammount of time they work to ensure my pup is excited rather than aprehensive for the next visit ensures your pet is never afraid. They're also not keen to push any unnecessary care or treatment to "rack up the bill" meaning I'm always confident i'll get the best advice and a very fair deal.
