Sophie's expertise is unparalleled, she has seen a few of my animals over the past 2 years and I always feel that I can totally trust that my pets are taken care of to the highest standard. She also explains everything fully so you can properly understand the issues too. I will always bring my pets to Sophie at Origin Vets.

I went to get my rabbit vaccinated and have my hamster checked up recently and I couldn't have been more happy with the service provided! I was seen by dr Sophie jenkins with a vet student and they both showed a genuine interest and love for my pets and gave each of them plenty of attention and a thorough check up while still being considerate of their stress levels. They were transparent over costs and it was clear that they had my animals best interests in mind. Highly recommended this practice will be coming again to get my rabbit neutered and couldn't be more at ease leaving him in their care.

Sophie has been absolutely amazing with my tortoise Henry. It gives me so much peace of mind that she is experienced with treating reptiles and diagnosing any problems that can occur with them. My tortoise needed a bladder stone removal a year ago and the care and after care was second to none and Lola is now back to full health and thriving. Sophie has been absolutely amazing with my rabbits over the years, from helping me say goodbye to my childhood pet rabbit peacefully and respectfully after 9 long years to more recently helping my rabbits through a very unlucky 12 months! When my previously bonded pair had a falling out and caused some horrific wounds to each other Sophie managed to stitch them up and then continued to offer help and support for one with his ongoing respiratory issues. Unfortunately this rabbit recently developed a blockage and was rushed to the out of hours emergency services and even tho Sophie wasn’t the vet treating him she made herself available to give the emergency vet advice over the phone and ultimately helped to save his life and manage his pain post op. We are eternally grateful for Sophie and her skills with rabbits and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect rabbit vet!

She has been instrumental in the treatment of patients within my care, offering sound advice and support for animals across the country. Sophie and rhian have been amazing with my skinny pig ronnie, literally saved his life after a serious operation which turned out to be an aggressive type of cancer but Sophie got it all of the tumor out and 1 year later we are still cancer free. She is also always keen to offer telephone advice on my own trickier cases, which is a testament to her character and dedication. From the time i've spent on placement with Sophie at Origin Vets i have come to realise the amount of dedication and commitment which goes into being an exotics vet. It would be an understatement to say that I'm blown away by the extensive amount of knowledge she holds about every weird and wonderful exotics species out there. I would feel very reassured and comfortable to take any one of my pets to visit sophie and know that there would be 100% care and effort put in to looking after them.
