I recently registered with this practice as I had been looking for some time for an exotics vet. I have been extremely impressed with everything from the friendly and helpful reception staff to the vet and charges. I cannot thank Josh enough for the excellent care he has given to our exotic pets needing either surgery or treatment. I feel 100% confident that I am being given good advice and my pets are receiving the best possible treatment and care. I’m so glad I found this practice!

Our dog has been registered at London road vets for a few years now, we are extremely happy with the service provided. They have been great on the number of occasions in seeing our dog at short notice when she’s done silly things as dogs do🙄🤣 The reception staff are very helpful and friendly & the vets are very patient with our nervous rescue dog. Would highly recommend 👏👏👏

This a great place for dropping in if you don't have an appointment. The vets stay open later than all the others in Colchester. We took our little dog to be checked out and got seen on a Saturday afternoon without an appointment. The staff were very friendly and appeared to love all types of pets that come in. An excellent practice - our entire family have shifted to this practice a few years ago after hearing us wax lyrical about them and also give glowing reviews. I can't imagine putting this level of trust in another vet. It would be remiss of me not to also include a special mention to our regular vet Josh and vet nurse Abby, thank you for always putting our animals first.

Penny our world was saved today after becoming very ill with pyometra. Rebecca, Josh and their amazing team worked so hard for hours saving her life. I'm poorly myself so was extremely upset and they took their time and very considerate towards our broken hearts. yes it cost money but her health was worth every penny as I couldn't save her that's why I feel overwhelmed that these very skilled professionals gave me this chance to have her laid in my arms tonight alive and was given the best care I'd hoped for. They were very honest with her outlook before op but they did amazingly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and penny gives sleepy kisses. See you soon liz and Luke

Excellent service when registering our cat at London Road Vets when several other local vets could not accept her to provide the necessary annual vaccine and manage an ongoing condition. The receptionist was very helpful and the vet Rebecca was friendly and informative. Car parking on site was also good. I can certainly recommend this vetinary practice.

Lovely staff. Was easy to make an appointment. Done the castration for both my pets. Good after care. My boys healed perfectly without complications. Although I have more local vets nearby, I'd happily travel here for the quality and service knowing I'm in good hands.

I cannot recommend enough. We have been with London road vets for 5-6 months give or take and we cannot be happier with the care they have given to our boy. Previous vets we were registered with have felt like a conveyor belt service, a quick in and out, no care, no questions answered and rude staff. It could not be more opposite here. Bev on reception is super lovely, she checked on us to make sure we were okay whilst Oscar was being seen and kept us chatting to take our mind of things which we’re very grateful for. Not to mention she had booked us in last minute. The vets (unfortunately I didn’t catch their names) are always happy to chat with us and answer our millions of questions. They’re always happy to see Oscar and he’s always happy to see them. They’re always attentive and thorough. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for our boy. There aren’t enough words I can use to describe the gratitude I have for the people that work here. Thank you to all of you.

Utterly superb care given to my cocker spaniel who was knocked over a couple of weeks back. She was taken to London Road (they responded to the emergency call) and even though they aren't my normal vet they have treated her (us) as if she are their patient normally. 5 star luxury treatment from them. 5 Stars are not enough. If you love your pet, don't go anywhere else. I've been to many vets in London, NYC and UK and this is the best experience I have had. The reception is as far away from that snooty 'yeah, next.' attitude that disappointingly seems to be the norm. The girls are warm, welcoming and calming when us pet parents are worried and stressed. Then I grilled them all over prices and fees and they calmly explained everything and were keen to make it clear and as cost effective as possible. I'm not easy and they didn't get upset at all - quite the reverse and took so much time to talk it through. My gorgeous dachshund was treated like a baby and he usually doesn't like the vets but fine here. My Husband and I got the best feeling from this surgery that we didn't get at others in Colchester. It's not rushed, it's just caring and so, so clean and quite luxurious. We have no reservations about saying don't hesitate. You won't find anywhere better than these skilled people.

As always a good experience at the vets today All the staff are helpful and friendly. Our dog has not had the best of experience in the vets but since they acknowledge that he isn't comfortable with a male vet or the small treatment rooms they do their utmost to give Shadow the easiest time. All vet treatment is expensive but you want your family pet to have the best you can afford so they remain happy and healthy.

The care is good. However, one of my dogs is on medication for the rest of her life. Therefore I need repeat prescriptions in good time, not when I am on my last tablets. That is very difficult to obtain from them as I was told yesterday that I had to wait till the end of the months. So, in order to order my medication in good time online, I have to find another vet who issues prescriptions without being difficult. Because of this issue I cannot recommend them.

I brought my budgie, Peggie, here when she broke her wing. I've uploaded a photo of her wing with the pin inserted to show the result of her surgery. She has received excellent care up to now and is making a great recovery. The staff have been very friendly and flexible with me. I'd certainly recommend this veterinary to anyone who has birds.
