Just took my German shepherd who had injured her eye. I was very concerned but I gave them a ring they squeezed me in straight away. I can't thank them enough she was seen straight away and the medication and treatment required. I myself have one eye and know the importance of sight. I can't thank them enough. What an amazing service we have received yet again !! Can't thank everyone enough for the care given to our little Yorkshire Terrier Lola when she became unwell late at night. She was treated and on the road to recovery within 45 minutes of our first phone call and that's including travel time wow absolutely amazing

Lovely staff and very reasonable prices. They don’t rip you off and only recommend exactly what you need. I came for an animal health certificate which they did at an extremely fair price when I was quoted 10x the price elsewhere. 100% recommend and we will continue coming here even though I am based in Newcastle now!

Was recommended Dunelm vets Durham by a friend who described them as a lovely friendly no frills vet. So I rang to enquire about my cat being speyed and urgently, and the cost. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly, and polite. Also had a laugh at how urgent I wanted my cat done. She took some details and gave me all I needed to know. The cost! Well I was plesently suprised and booked my cat in. Dunelm was the cheapest I found! Just been after taking my cat in to be speyed and it was a lovely little place. Good parking . Smiling friendly staff at the reception. Small inside but had everything a vets needed in a waiting area. No big bright lights. Nothing fancy at all. I like that. Just how vets used to be. I'm guessing it used to be a house at one point. I didn't go into the vets treatment room so can't comment but I'm sure it's everything to be expected. The place was clean and had infomation leaflets and boards on the walls. Treatment was done very quickly. I brought her in at nine am. I was called at two thirty pm to go to pick my cat up. On picking her up I was met with friendly faces. Was then greeted by a very plesent young woman who passed my very happy cat (yes she was very calm and peaceful and in not distress even on arrival) I was given the relevant information. Paid and left. I'd definitely go back here. And I 100% recommend to anyone. Please don't change Dunelm. You and your veterinary practice arr great the way you are

This local vet practice were absolutely amazing. Visiting my brother in the North East, from Rochdale, my puppy staffy got carried away and badly hurt her leg on a Friday evening. My sister in law called her family vets on the Saturday morning and they fitted us in straight away, although it was a busy morning for them. They assessed my pup and prescribed pain relief and rest, until we got back home. We can't thank the girls and the vet on that Saturday morning for all they did and all the reassurance to put our minds at ease. Thank you all. Highly recommended.

Amazing veterinary practice from the lovely ladies at the desk to the veterinary nurses and practitioners. Great customer care and services. DEFINITELY 5* SERVICE I worry taking my dog's to vets because I've had misdiagnosis, simple nail trims gone badly wrong and a dog in insufferable pain and discomfort due to wrong medication for skin mites all the while spending unreal amount of money to be no further forward. THIS VET HOWEVER IS BRILLIANT I'VE ONLY GOT THE ONE DOG REGISTERED HERE (WILL HOPEFULLY BE REGISTERING THE REST SOON) AND THEY HAVE BEEN FANTASTIC. MY PUP HAD UTI AND THEY WERE FANTASTIC RIGHT FROM WALKING THROUGH THE DOOR TO THE CONSULTATION & MEDICATION AND COST ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. BY FAR THE BEST VETERINARY TREATMENT AROUND THIS AREA

I would like to thank this veterinary clinic from the bottom of my heart. A cat that had been living on my accommodation block was very ill and in short needed to be put to sleep. I didn't know what to do and contacted them. Their speed and kindness in helping me and my friend is like nothing I have ever experienced. I am so grateful for everything they did and for comforting me. Even when the clinic was closed they made time for a stray cat and the two nurses who helped me were just amazing. I chose this vets after reading the reviews of various vets in the area and felt this one was the correct choice. Being a first time pet owner i wanted something that came with a recommendation. It has served us well my girl has just been speyed this last week with them and after her first season and a phantom pregnancy which warranted a couple of visits, she's back fighting fit. Cannot recommend them enough, a platinum care package payable monthly and excellent service cant ask for any more!!!

Had to take Dottie to emergency out of hours this evening as she had swallowed an icelolly stick. The female vet and vetinary nurse who tended to her were absolutely first class. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The stick was eventually retrieved and Dottie is fine, if a little tired. We are so relieved and grateful thankyou.

Brilliant vets! Small, independent, family run practice, with outstanding ethics. Prices are much lower than other vets and welfare of the animals is paramount... no unnecessary treatments/medications to rack up the profit margins at that practice!.. just professional, compassionate and honest care.

It was ok 🤔 and it is 100% better than the white lion vet at south Heton who never new the difference between lice and a skin condition on my cocker spaniel but this vet Dunelm is definitely one of the better vets BUT it still puts there profit first in my opinion 😕

Have used these vets for over 40 years and wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. We had to take our boy in tonight for an emergency appointment due to the pain he was in and the vet was lovely...lifted him out of the car and carried him into the surgery and he never even whimpered. She gave him a very thorough examination, painkilling injection and medication for arthritis. Very reasonably priced considering the time and care she took amd it was about 10pm when we left with a much more comfortable dog

Have been a client of this surgery for many years. The vets and staff are very caring and honest with their assessments if treatment is required. Their prices are reasonable. The only downside is that there only a small parking area in front of the surgery which is situated beside a busy thoroughfare in a mainly residential area so finding a parking space can be tricky. Highly recommended as vets. Cant recommend this vet's practice highly enough. They continued to operate during covid and all the staff are caring friendly & knowledgeable & professionalxx

I cannot praise Dunelm for the care they have given to both my pets. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and the staff will answer questions and give sound advice. This is a very popular Vets and don't be surprised if you have to wait outside for your appointment. It's well worth the wait. The only down side is the limited parking available and as it is situated on a main road, it can be quite difficult to get in and out safely.

Honestly couldn't be happier. We had a problem with our duck. The lady on the phone was lovely and arranged a visit from the vet this afternoon. Because we were able to get in, the person on the phone rearranged for an appoint at the clinic. The covid precautions are no problem at all. The girl who came out to get the duck was lovely and really attentive. They were as quick as possible too. Excellent!

I have to send a big thank you to the staff. I just had to euthanise my dog and they were amazing. I got immediate help in the middle of the night from Doctor Jack. The price I paid for all of Robbie's care was extremely reasonable. They are beyond fair.

Great vet service. Was running a little behind but we were kept well informed. They made a nice fuss of my dog which made her relax more. The vet checked my dog over and although wasn't able to give a diagnosis straight away, has prescribed medication to help with her symptoms whilst they investigate further. Very reasonably priced too.

The best thing about this practice is that you get to know the vets and nurses and they get to know your animals. So different from our previous experiences where locums were the norm. The have excelled during the lockdowns.

This vet, from out of town, was the only vet willing to come out and put my sisters old dog to sleep after his back end collapsed. He was in pain and couldn’t move yet none of our local vets would come. I understand a vet is a business but it’s still good to know they care! The vet showed great compassion and professionalism when they come out and I decided then to register with them. A big bonus is my dogs liked the vet I saw recently! I would definitely recommend.

Though sometimes the wait is a little longer than you'd prefer, the fact they offer an open clinic every day is amazing! The vets are so professional and lovely as are all of the staff. The waiting time is to be expected on an open clinic and they always work so hard to see everyone quickly but you can always book an appointment anyway. Superb vets!

Good vets with a great "VIP" payment scheme that pays for your pet's vaccinations, flea and worm tablets and gets you four check ups a year. Like the people here but it's always busy and parking is a nightmare. Great if you live close by as we used to and as I say they're great vets, but others in the Durham area are more easily accessible

A brilliant, knowledgeable and caring group of staff. We have been using this practice for many years with all our animals as well as referring friends to them. Great careing place. We had to rush a frenlds dog there for a cut on her foot Which I would have normaly sorted but this was down to the bone So she had to be rush in. With in 30mins she was in and under to get sorted. She came out with sliver spray on and stitched She doing really well. So I would recommend them for being helpful and caring

Despite having to take our cat here as an emergency who was not on their books they showed complete care and understanding. Our cat was so ill he had to transferred to a specialist vets in Northumberland but they prepared him for the journey. Unlike the chain vets these guys were not about money and adding the bill, they were about care. Despite our boy dying later that day I know these guys tried for him We will now be using them for our other pets.

Not enough praise can i give this surgery and its magnificent staff We have 2 Dogs & 2 Cats and have had some trying times with at least 3 of our pets Our dog Jake was diagnosed by the Vets with having cancer and they managed to get us to a special hospital in Edinburugh, due to the vets Jack & Fran recognising and diagnosing Jake we had another 18 months of pleasure with Jake, when it came to the end they handled this delicatley & the care was superb and so personal Our cat Merlin was very poorley with Unirary tract blockage that nearly killed him they performed an emergency operation that saved his life, he is living a full life now on the correct food Again thanks to this Vets practice Last is Bailey who's heart murmor & Heart problems had caused issues with his lungs filling with fluid again they looked after Bailey so well even in these unprecidented times of Covid and he is on the right medication and even though 12 is like a new dog again The staff here from Senior Vets to Receptionists are fantastic they really care and are so good with the animals & our children when they visit reasurring them every time we go in, the VIP pet plan is also a must taking care with health checks every 3 months & Looking after the medication required to give your pet a heathy life This Vets is outstanding and I would highly recomend anyone to take care of their Fury Family

I had my Gs dog collapse in agony, he was old and his hips gave up, rang every vet in hartlepool not one of them would come out, my boy was dying in agony, rang Dunelm they didn’t hesitate, the lady vet laid on the floor with my old boy, i am so grateful for the care they gave and the dignity, they are my vets from now on.
