The staff are very kind and knowledgable, the service is great, and we really like using their pet health club to spread out the various expenses for our pups. Great vets; happy pup-parents :)

Staff seem nice and competent but prices are almost 50% higher than any other vet I have contacted. I have done quite a bit of research on this. They couldn't explain why their prices were so much higher.

Very friendly. Took my little morkie Daiyntonget spayed. On Monday. They took good care of her and fsce her lots of cuddles to reassure her. I trust them with both my dogs

Registered new kitten and got his first vaccination. Covid aware while being so friendly but professional. My furry baby even behaved impeccably for them . Highly recommended. Second vaccination went perfectly too. My wee boy completely non stressed .

This is an amazing vet. All staff without exception are super friendly and extremely helpful. I have found that the reception staff go out of their way to arrange timely appointments with a very nice approach. I have received a very personal service. The vets are very empathetic and always discuss options with me fully and give sound advice. Previously when I found out my dog had a tumour all staff were incredibly empathetic and patient with me. Unfortunately we are now back due to a recurring problem and being treated by Nicola who is worth her weight in gold! I feel very happy that my dog is in her competent hands. Big thank you to all for all your hard work and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

When moving to the other side of the city we also had to change vets for our cat, which is never easy. He is very anxious & finding the practice with the right approach was vital. After much research & recommendations we decided to give Batchelor, Davidson & Watson vets in Newhaven a go. By far the most professional and knowledgable vets we've had & it felt safe leaving our family member in their hands.

This place is great. The vets and other staff clearly really care about the animals, and go above and beyond with the service. The prices are fair, and I think it's great that they offer discounts for treatment for animals adopted via Edinburgh Cat Protection League. I'm delighted with my choice of this vet, and will definitely come here for all the other treatment my cats will need. Thanks especially to Anna, who was amazing with my feline children! P.S. Our little pup has been seeing them for just over a year now, I can't say anything bad about them. They care, obviously love their job and the animals. Ours recently had his castration and the follow up was better than what you get as a human post op. Not the cheapest, but worth the service if you like I, care about your animal.

After reading the bad review below, I felt I had to post my opinion! I have had nothing but an amazing experience from the Newhaven practice and its staff, having recently moved into the area. A couple of weeks ago I booked my kitten in to be neutered, and when dropping him off in the morning, I was offered the Healthy Pet Club, which would save me a fortune and provide my cat with all the boosters and other care he would need on a regular basis! So saying that they are only interested in money is far from the truth. In fact, I saved £160 at least in just one visit after being informed by the helpful and cheery receptionist about what they could offer. I was then updated on how he was after the op and when picking him up, was provided with all the necessary documents and further treatments for the next month, at no extra charge and an appointment made to check up on the cat after his operation. Having gone back this afternoon for my cats boosters (which were at no extra charge after joining the Healthy Pet Club), I was offered further advice and was met with a smile and a friendly face. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone! Thank you for all of your help!

Jeannot Whitehouse-Yellowlees to Batchelor Davidson & Watson 16 mins · I have been using this vet practice for the last 11 years. We have three dogs and feel the service offered from BDW is excellent. This practice has been reorganised due to the original partners retiring, I was so sad to see them all go as I felt that each one of them loved my dogs! They were so caring and gentle towards them, I knew they were in safe professional friendly hands. Having felt saddened by BDW retiring, and wondering who will replace such experienced vets. I need not have worried because now we have a full team of young fresh eager fantastic new partners! Kate, Nicola and Mr McCallum! all superb. I have had consultations with them all and again they make me feel as though my dogs health and well-being is the most important. Kate she really is wonderful, great with my dogs. Nicola exceeded all expectations recently as I had serious issues with my pets passports( issued elsewhere) she showed kindness and compassion towards me and I cannot thank her enough in correcting the errors on the passports. I also feel that I should praise Lisa the practice director she is so courteous and helpful, always willing to listen. BDW looked after our dog for 14 years. During this time he received nothing but great care and respect. All the staff are friendly, helpful, caring and knowledgable. When the time came to have him put to sleep recently, we couldnt have asked for better care which meant the world to us on such a sad day.
