We have been boarding our 3 cats at the gables for several years,my oldest has been going probably for around 10 years. They are always well looked after,infact the oldest always looks better after her stay than when she arrives!! Julia knows all there personality's,and they are very comfortable with her. The cattery is always spotlessly clean, and they have a good view of other cats ,so they can have a good nose at who's about!! Julia has always managed to accommodate our needs,even the odd short notice stay . We totally recommend Julia and the gables,and we will be staying again soon.

The Gables is an excellent cattery - a 5 ⭐️ hotel for cats with beautiful views. Been using Gables for many years and the owner Julia is very affable and has many years experience of caring for cats. Our furry family member gets lots of fuss while she is there and is well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Gables.

Julia has looked after our family cat Cleo when we’ve gone on holiday every year for 8/9 years. She is so friendly & professional & we couldn’t recommend her enough! We don’t feel bad or guilty leaving Cleo with her as we know she is so well looked after throughout her stay.

I have used the Gables Boarding Cattery for many years. Julia has always made us welcome and is sensitive to the different personalities of my two cats. Lexi is a Somali, she is outgoing and friendly. Frodo is a Siamese, he is shy and timid. They are always well looked after and settle back in at home straight away. They have stayed at all times of the year and in the winter they are cosy in the heated indoor part of the pen. We try to book in advance but on the odd occasion Julia has booked us in at short notice. I would thoroughly recommend using this cattery.

We have been taking our cat, Timber, to Julia for nearly ten years now and cannot recommend Julia at Gables Boarding Cattery highly enough. Julia keeps her 'chalets' absolutely spotless. Timber is always so well looked after and settles down straight away, meaning that we can go away, feeling relaxed and knowing how well she is being cared for. There are always 'treats' ready for her in her chalet, as Julia knows what keeps Timber happy (food!). Julia goes out of her way to accommodate dates for us and especially in these past two years of Covid times, when everything has been so up in the air, and holidays cancelled at the last minute, she has been so understanding in cancelling/rebooking dates.

Lovely set up with great rural views, secure pens which our cats have stayed in different times throughout the years.
