D. W.I have used many vets over the years but no one comes close to Wye Valley Vets.The complete team are dedicated to animals and genuinely care deeply about them. I travel for an hour to get to them , I would never take my Rotties anywhere else .
J. S.I recently joined the Practice as my old Vets stopped providing their out of hours service. I've been so impressed with all the Vets, Nurses and Admin staff at Wye Valley and wish I'd joined them years ago. As a small independent there are only 2-3 Vets and the continuity in care is most welcome. With three dogs the cost savings have been much appreciated too!
s.Wonderful. We were in a terrible state, we needed an out of hours service. We'd been at Belmont Vets for years ... yet when we contacted them the phone call was redirected to Scotland and the only available service was in Monmouth, literally miles away. Whilst the operator was lovely, and she really wanted to help, the service was basically unavailable.
We got hold of Wye Valley and the difference was almost unbelievable. Even the receptionist was welcoming, friendly, kind and our visit was orientated to US, not a generic response.
I appreciated the honesty and the kindness Chris demonstrated. He KNOWS how people's *pets* are their life. He settled my Span, and he's comfortable, and he's happy, which is all we want. Chris wanted the same.
I felt totally at ease even though I was in a mess, and the premises were wonderful. I know Chris gets it. Our Span is our life, good or bad, and I know other people love their *pets* more than life itself and for this alone I can recommend Wye Valley Vets. Thank you xxxx
J. B.We were looking after a sick relatives dog who suddenly started to scream with pain when she moved. As you can imagine we were stressed and very worried. So we phoned this clinic after googling best vets in Herefordshire and the receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful. Within 30 mins we were in with Chris who diagnosed her with a slip disc, gave us some medication and clear instructions on what to do for the next 24 hours and a much smaller bill than we expected. Thank you so much for all your help and hopefully our dog will be much more comfortable this evening.

K. H.We had our cat Indie booked in for her injections at 10.30am. As is in so.many of these appointments the cat goes missing a of a sudden or something else crops up - in our case I managed to catch our little darling and get her into our soft fabric carry basket only for her to squeeze out of the door as I was attempting to zip her in.......
Not surprisingly she was most put out by all of this and keeping a safe distance from anywhere near our bazket, so i reluctantly had to ring up and cancel our slot. The member of staff I spoke to was very understanding and agreed to fit her in at the end of the day if I managed to catch her.
Amazingly we did manage the said feat and Indie saw a very nice vet who checked her over and gave her the jab. Unfortunately we have to go through the same procceedure again in 3 weeks time! Whatever the outcome I know that our cat will be in the safest of hands and well looked after.
L. G.My Frenchie first visited Chris when he was a puppy and Chris expressed his concerns about the size of his nose and flat face. After he had grown we went back to Chris who said Prince would need a BOAS operation. I felt my dog was safe with Chris as I’ve heard nothing but positive things about his practise. We travel over an hour just to see him because he really is that good. He’s honest and always advises the best care for your pet. I truly believe he saved my dogs life. My previous vet didn’t pick up on any of the issues my dog had even after numerous visits. Thank you Chris and everyone at Wye Valley.

H. B.Rocky (aged 17 and three quarters) was booked in for euthanasia, but thankfully died naturally beforehand at home in his basket. Took his body to vets. I was allowed as long as I wanted to say goodbye, before he was taken for cremation. Service took around a week. A quality casket ,on return ,plus Vets sent me a card with his paw print.....Thankyou.

D. G.Cannot fault Wye Valley Vets and Chris the vet who we dealt with. Our youngest bull terrier had a nasty accident, badly shattering her front left leg. The radius was badly broken in multiple places and the ulna was a clean break. We feared that the leg might have to be amputated, but Chris felt confident he could fix the leg. He assured us he would do everything he could, and the major operation was a success, a plate and 9 titanium screws in the radius and a pin through the ulna. We’re about 3 months down the line now, and she is walking well on it, the pin has been removed, and she’s really on the mend. The after care has been brilliant, with regular checks and x-rays to monitor progress. We can’t thank Chris and the team at Wye Valley enough for everything they have done for Fléur and us. The service has been highly professional, yet personal and caring throughout.

R. S.I had an appointment with Chris Dixon [Partner]. He was extremely helpful & explained the medical procedure my dog would require. Also advised on other health issues; but just paid the standard consultation fee [£20]. Which is cheaper than another local vet.
The practice is immaculate, it all looks 'state of the art'. I could see a lot of planning had gone into the layout, which was bright & airy.
Receptionist's are friendly & helpful, will definitely use this practice for all future treatments/advice.
I have booked an operation for my dog & feel confident that she will be well cared for.
