Very sad occasion for my granddaughter with her dog on Saturday (emergency )we were met by kind caring staff .They gave my granddaughter time to say goodbye and afterwards to spend time as much as she needed with her beloved dog .They led us through the process and treated our dog with kindness and dignity .AMAZING .Thank you all .
K. M.
Wasn't the best experience why we was there, but that being said the staff and vets were brilliant in assisting, diagnosing, and going through the options, brilliant care and attention for my mother's pet, also the aftercare in associated teams to them have been faultless too,
V. M. L.
I was so glad they saw my little puppy I couldn't be more grateful and thankful to them.

They do amazing work have treated my English bull terrier dilly. Always professional. They do get busy and waiting times can be long but they do great work
K. J.
Excellent service.
Our dog Lotttie has recently needed treatment and they were excellent with her .
She was diagnosed with a heart murmur and also needed 23 teeth out.
They looked after her really well.

it feels so weird leaving a five star review when the last visit to Hull pdsa was the worst day of my life, on Saturday 9th my whole world caved in when my sweet Labrador had an accident while playing her favourite game, fetch, we rushed her to pdsa and although there was nothing that could be done to save her and I had to make the difficult decision to have her put to sleep the two vets that were there made me feel at ease, they were helpful and gave me the time I needed with her to say goodbye, it was the hardest moment of my life saying goodbye to my best friend, my whole world, and pdsa made me feel supported and they made my baby feel calm too. a few years ago they gave her life saving surgery and gave us a couple more years of joy, I can never be able to thank pdsa and everything they've done for me and my family, I'm lost and confused right now but I'll be forever grateful for the care pdsa gave us. thank you for making the hardest goodbye feel that little bit better.

Wonderful much better than unscrupulous private Vets, saved my 12 Year Old Cocker Spaniels life who had a Stroke 2 weeks ago.

Wonderful amazing people committed to caring for animals ❤ Helping to keep animals healthy and live longer ❤

My Archie had 19 teeth out with no after effects because he was treated and cared for during his procedure.

Amazing simply amazing the vet that's been helping with my old girl has been the best. Not to say that the rest of the staff arnt amazing too obviously.
I've personally seen them deal with the ultimate delicate issue and saw the empathy and support they conducted themselves with.
Only issue is that the charity is abused so badly by those who can afford to go to a normal vet
Thank you so much PDSA Hull.
P. K.
Excellent work from everyone at the Hull Hospital. Their help and dedication is much appreciated.
C.
Had to bring in my poor fancy rat, he was so unwell.
I personally don't like how they are still operating under covid restrictions (has to be an emergency to be seen) but receptionist was fantastic and I was able to bring him in, vets were also great with him and pleased to say he is recovering well. Thank you
H. B.
First class from receptionist to vet. They saved my dogs life through his own stupidity by eating mouse poison block in shed.
J. M.
Without exception the care, support, and dedication shown to me and my pet was second to none. Recently, although unexpectedly it was probably not surprising when I lost my soul-mate. Heartbreaking, yes, but the kindness shown throughout was unparrelled, necessarily I attended weekly for some time and not once did I ever feel rushed despite being an extremely busy practice obvious by the large number of patients in the waiting room. Yet, time given to explain presenting symptoms, diagnosis and proposed care pathway including risks for the prognosis, it was always presented professionally as you would expect but also with patience , compassion and care for us both. I won't name names as unintentionally I am bound to forget somebody, suffice to say everyone receptionists, nurses, vets, pharmacists, trainees , emergency staff, and anyone else I may have ommitted a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU for everything you did, both as a duty and more especially all beyond the call of duty.
Cheers
Jacinta M.

Really helpful and showed more interest in my dog then other vets

I Rang Pdsa To See How My 2 Year Old Dog Was As He Got Rushed In With Life Threatening Condition Unable to Wee Today I Rang Because I Am Worried Sick About My Little Boy The Receptionist I Spoke To Asking Politely If She Would Find Out How He Was To Put My Mind At Ease She Spoke To Me Very Abruptly. Which Really Upset Me As I Am Worried Sick About My 2 Year Old Dog All I Wanted Was To Know How He Was. The Serves I Have Received Before Today As Been Helpful, And Caring And Put Your Mind At Ease. I Think Pdsa Do A Brilliant Job And And Would Be List Without There Help. But I Only Rang To Find Out How My Little Poorly Boy Was With It Been Life Threatening. All I Wanted Was To Have My Mind Put At Ease. THIS Is My Little Boy Who Is Loved And Cared For And All The Family Are Worried Sick.

Seriously folks, get insurance, it would be wise to do so. It's a quid a week or so, bottom line - it's the only responsible thing to do. Having the NHS has engendered a lack of personal responsibility for our own health and by proxy, the same short sightedness for our beloved 4 legged companions too. Personal responsibility first.
D. J.
Fantastic vets for my 22 year old cat, can't praise the PDSA enough.
T. G.
Unfortunately had to have my boy put to sleep, reception people were lovely and very professional, and the vet was also absolutely brilliant, couldn't of asked for better service at such an upsetting time. Will using these in the future if needed for any other pets. Pictures of my boy Otis, one before and after being to the groomer's.
fly high my friend we will never forget you! 🐶😇
E. C.
Looked after our beloved dog at the worst time. They even hugged her as they injected her because we weren't allowed in.Very thankful that they treated her with love and respect in her final moments xx
D. D.
Helped my cat and identified the issue promptly, not too long a wait, helpful staff eg: when I asked about info for insurance form, not just direct line of duty. Clean and tidy.
E. T.
Nice place and always taken car of my dog. The only big problem is waiting times😒 its bad.
j. m.
Absolutely fantastic people vets are amazing, they do a brilliant job I couldn't of treated my cat without them, 👏👏🙏🙏❤️❤️
W. A.
Great place to take your pets very helpful 👍
M. W.
Had to have my 17yr old dog put to sleep. The compassion they showed was fantastic. The receptionist was also fabulous . These obviously care so much about their animal patients I was not rushed in my time alone before she was put to sleep.
R. T.
Overall the level of care my dog received was great including aftercare, and I can't praise the staff enough for the Nobel cause they serve.
However, I feel if you have a large and vocal dog (not aggressive) there does seem to some apprehension to provide every possible form of investigation, treatment and care availble. Which did leave me feeling somewhat concerned for my dogs recovery.
K. R.
Great place, have helped me afew times, staff are great can't falt anything about this place. Thay have just oppareted on my 15 year old dog 6wks ago and removed her breast cancer. Plz take old towels and blankets and kichen rolls in, also need cat and dog food.
S. N.
Brilliant treatment of our cat 'missy', and so understanding. We didn't have to pay, but we donated, as ordinary vets would of been 4 times as much. Such a worthy cause ☺️
P. H.
Very relaxed for pets first time i havnt had problems with my gsd attitude she was so calm with the vets xxx well done your doing a great job throughout the covid xx
G. J.
Amazing place, can't rate them enough. So grateful they helped my dog & so grateful they are around to help.
P. N.
The vets and nurses were exceptional. It was the first time we had been to this animal hospital, and they took great care of our cat. Caring, compassionate, and very affordable when money is tight. Thankyou.
B.
There very nice as we had to have our car mickey put to sleep so sad, many thanks Elaine and Tony.
L. G.
Forever grateful to all staff for helping with my very poorly cat, fantastic service, very helpful and nothing too much bother and helped us understand the condition and treatment etc..thanku so much for looking after our girl
D. L.
Tgey are very good there my luttle leo is feeling a lot better he hasent forgiven me for him having injections but you dont have to donate loads just enough to keep them going as they rely on donations but they are really nice people too.
M. W.
Our dog got a very deep cut on his leg. We rang PDSA as the emergency vet and they booked him in straight away and helped him immediately in a very pleasant and efficient manner, they even gave us the heads up on prices before they started anything with them being emergency vets. Our dog was in out in less than half a day and told us next steps to make.
k. g.
Took daughters dog all good place run well
A. M.
Some receptionist are so helpful and empathic, others are quite rude. Manager seemed very helpful. Covid is not an excuse to be rude.
E. C.
I rang the PDSA on Monday 21/9/2020 regarding one of my cats,he is called Tom and is 19 years old. I had to speak with the Vets now on Saturday as Tom had a fit,the first that he had ever had and also I was concerned about a wound he had on his side which he had since lockdown,I had been trying to get him some antibiotics but to no avail Anyway I was advised to observe him and if he had anymore then I was to call them back! Luckily he hasn't had any. So I called the PDSA and briefly explained what happened! ,the receptionist said I could talk to a vet and it would cost me £20,so I paid the money and waited for a call .The vet soon rang me back, and asked if I could send some photos, which I did and waited for the vet to call me back with a plan. It wasn't very long and she called me back, and said that she was doing a prescription for 10 days antibiotics and some pain relief in case he needs it. Hopefully this medication will soon arrive here,Tom seems to be comfortable at the moment,he is eating only small amounts and I keep giving him water,he is sleeping a lot but then he is 19,bless him XX
I would like to thank the PDSA for their help💜xx
E. H.
Very good always put you at ease when your worried about your pet
C. C.
The pdsa are amazing they are sooooooo caring compassionate wonderful people
They have Helped my pets and I can't thank them enough xxxxxx
A. G.
The staff here are always kind and caring, always friendly and chatty too. My dog loves the vets because he has always had exceptional care from the staff. PDSA doesn't get enough credit for what they do and they're a charity that could do with much more funding to help them treat the amount of pets they do care for here. Amazing and couldn't ask for better more caring vets
A. W.
These have been looking after our family dogs for years. They give really good advice, are kind and compassionate.
They really help those who are on low incomes to look after their furry family members. This charity makes a huge difference to so many and is well worth donating to.
P.
Lovely staff. We unfortunately had to have our pet euthanized. They couldn't do enough to make him and us comfortable. They also did everything they could to ensure that the cost were kept to minimum, without it effecting the treatment.
S. F.
Took my dog here after a very poor experience with my local vet. The hospital is run by knowledgeable caring staff. Who's only priority is animal welfare. I'm not eligeable for free care I paid for my pets treatment. And it's was refreshing to deal with a vet willing to do their best within my budget constraints.
L. B.
The staff do a fantastic job here although there seems to be no control of visitors and their pets, ie a dog was allowed to wander around the waiting area going up to other animals and people while the owner sat on their phone. This could have caused a major problem if another dog with anxiety or other issues had not wanted this animal in their face. It made people very wary but the staff just ignored it.
M.
Looked after my wonderful boy when he was poorly right until his last few moments. The staff were incredible and every so patient. They deserve so much more funding. A pet is a comfort for those without family as much as family is and there should be more support for them. Well done PDSA!
S. T.
Everyone, from the receptionists to the vets and the other users are so nice. These people have kept my dog alive after I ran out of funds to pay my private vet. Cannot thank them enough.
J.
The staff was very helpful and I was grateful to them because my cat was not well I thought I would have to wait for an appointments but I got one the same now he is very happy in himself
A. S.
Amazing with my cat, absolutely brilliant. The vets are all lovely, the building could really do with a G4S security or some security of sorts. There's no-one there to protect your animal from larger dogs.
For example pets who "Never Bite or Growl"
A dogs instinct will always kick in near a lesser mammal, such was the case with my cat in his cat carrier. It shocked me, I had to shout thoroughly at the pet owner and act quick or the dog would have tried to savage the cat carrier and my cat.
This to me is a big issue, and could easily be sorted.
S. H. (.
Pet hospital for people who can't afford big vet bills, or on benifets.
Will offer 'free care' with proff on ' benifets letter. Your pet will receive the best care as vets volunteer to help, because they care about animals
L. H.
It can get extremely busy here and often crowded in the reception area. However the services they offer far outweigh this. The vet we saw was very friendly and was not at all pushy unlike other vets, she only recommended things that we needed. It made me feel alot less anxious about the process
M. B.
This place is special beyond belief, the staff and vets are all lovely and don't know what i and many many others would do without them x.
m.
Horrid receptionist, patronising, arrogant and no empathy what so ever.
When I eventually got my dog there the vet was amazing, she basically saved my dogs life.
J.
Amazing people like the 'whole' idea of PDSA. Always very nice and helpful. My pet lover friends what would we do without them ?! Please always remember to support and donate. Every little help!
A. B.
PDSA were extremely helpful and attentive. My appointment was quick to book and simple when I arrived. I'm very happy with experience and my pet is feeling much better too!
Y. G.
Excellent veterinary treatment and support given for pets. This is a charity and relys on the generous financial gifts given by pet owners who access their services low income and certain benefit claimants can get financial support with fees a form can be requested and processed so registration is completed before an emergency occurs. If you are reading this and no longer have a pet please consider a donation. In memory of your pet or simply to show your support THANKYOU
G. S.
Excellent service, very reliable service just a bit slow
Covid friendly good disabled parking and access
S. I.
Staff are absolutely lovely they have always looked after my pets as if there own, always put the animals best interests before anything else which is how it should be, lots people complain about waiting times and costs go to a private vet if your not happy and when there's only one PDSA for the amount of animals it cares for you expect to have to wait a little bit, bit of patience doesn't go a miss 😊
j. e.
Charitable pet hospital serving Hull area always very busy as you would expect from a charity vet practise so be prepared for some extended waiting times these can vary due to emergency admissions so it's not a good idea to blame the staff the pharmacist or receptionists for frustrating delays that are understandably unavoidable so your patience would be probably appreciated by the staff as would your donation to your pets Health costs, the practise is hectic but well run under the circumstances out of hours Vetanary service is available for emergencys only .the practise sees a large number of cases per day vets ,nurses and receptionists cope very efficiently and professionally though this is not always appreciated by some pet owners.as a regular visitor to this practise over many years I,v had no cause to criticize any aspect of the care my pets have received, it is what it says on the tin a charity for those who cannot afford private treatment for pets.
p. c.
Easy access and amazingly friendly staff that put you at ease with your pet when there not well
S. S.
I haven't visited the PDSA hospital for many years but have a German Shepherd with serious dental issues. Unfortunately I haven't insured her and, with me being on benefits, I couldn't afford the costs at my private vets. The staff were very helpful at PDSA and the receptionist explained all the rules that have changed over the years. When I took my dog into the treatment room the vet was very friendly. She examined my dog thoroughly and then gave me some advice, which I have followed. My dog is booked in on November 13th for full dental treatment and hopefully she will benefit from the procedure
E. “. B.
All I can really say is how amazing the staff are here. They're not about profit. They work here because they truly love animals and want to help them.
L. B.
I love this place because they look after my dog perfectly as they do all animals that pass through there doors, such kind friendly efficient and Professional people 2nd to none x
R.
Lovely staff, patient receptionists and loving towards our precious animals. Good prices and offers but beware of policy change...one one pet free and the others are at reduced prices. Still the only people I trust with my precious ones.
A. H.
Had to go out of hours with my son's dog . Very kind and helpful. Thank you.
N. P.
Lovely staff and always help out no matter what
c. c.
Wonderful experience. Caring and efficient.
H. G.
Women on the desk can be a little snooty...not the nicest start if your worried/concerned about your pet.
The vets themselves are lovely, they give you so much information, do not rush, and take fantastic care of your beloved pet...thank you so much!
C. B.
Lost my beautiful fur baby this morning ..the lady who took her from me was brilliant .she put me at ease of what would happen to her as we are getting her cremated.from us being given her diagnosis last week from the vet who took her bloods water and scanned her .unfortunately it wasnt good news .but this reveiw is for the lovely lady who took her from us this morning and put our minds at ease .thankyou
L. G.
I love anyone that loves animals over humans and these guys show how much they care about your fury friends.
Took my dog to see them about a cancerous lump and they where very compassionate and explained the operation in full..
My heart, respect and love goes out to pdsa and there staff..
p. w.
PDSA have helped my pets over the years and always give there upmost care for them which I am very grateful for. Please always donate when you take your pet" they need it !
P. L.
Acted very quickly to operate on my boy. Very friendly, helpful and professional. Fingers crossed her will pull through but not for the want of trying from the pet hospital
H. P. C.
PDSA are fantastic. The vets work so hard and extremely long hours and always have a smile and care so much for the animals they treat. You would expect the waiting room to smell bad but staff keep it clean and odour free.
S. J.
I actually phoned for Fergie Cat just days into lockdown. Very helpful receptionist as I told her the problem. Put at ease from a phone call back & clear advice from the Vet herself.
j. f. U. o. m.
Took our dog in to get her eye treated and mentioned she, d been vomiting, the vet took her for an ultrasound and straightaway came back and said its pyometra, they operated straight away so if it wasn't for the vets and staff at pdsa our dog would have died and for that I, m very grateful thankyou. X
J. B.
Receptionists are always nice and helpful and vets do care about the animals. But Vets can be very patronishing towards owners and sometimes come across as blunt so can make you feel akward or uncomfortable. Also meeting room isn't big enough in my opinion. So be prepared.
S. S.
PDSA in my opinion cannot be faulted. They've help 3 of my furry friends over the years n been awesome each time. Remember to make a donation if possible or take them pet food, kitchen rolls etcetera as an alternative if you can.
B. S.
Absolutely brilliant my dog was really poorly on Saturday night two weeks ago they told me to bring him straight in and kept overnight him on antibiotics and on a drip. Can't thank them enough for making him better the staff are so friendly and helpful
G. S.
Careing loving people there main priority was my bassett..thanku
D. J.
I had to take my poorly cat in at 8 pm last night . we was seen by a lovely vet who explained everything that was happening with my little ningie baba. she was happy to help me with all my worries and concerns. absolutely fantastic vet and staff also very helpful too. I would like to thank you for all your help and advice x
S. N.
Amazing friendly people, willing to go that extra mile
J. P.
Can't say I loved it 'cos I would rather my dog not have to go there but the staff are so lovely and it's a great service. Be prepared for a wait though. You don't often get in to see the vet at your appointment time.
C. S. E. P. A.
Small pet hospital with very dedicated, caring, hard working staff. Please give any donations you can, every single penny is put to good use, and remember to gift aid your donations so that they can claim back your taxes from exchequer.
S. C.
My yorkie fifi was spayed here 2 weeks ago.i couldnt have left her in better hands.all the staff were lovely and tried to calm my worries but i was a wreck regardless. They always attend to fifis needs with great empathy and care.i couldnt ask for better.thank you all so much for all you do for fifi

Great job guys. Really care about animals and they have to put up with a lot of distraught owners
S. B.
Quite Simply Brilliant Staff!
🐣🐭🐔🐮🐍🐾🐝🐲🐱🐺🐶🐰 Always been a extremely well run place They help 1000's of people who are looking out for their beloved pets They love All Creatures Great and Small
Many animals would not be here today if it wasn't for these wonderful dedicated professionals, including our kitties
Not only do the PDSA PAH Hull offers a Donation /Free services to people who are on Housing Benefit /Council Tax for 1 pet per household with a greatly reduced cost for any remaining pets.
Another great thing is The PDSA now also offer a reduced rate for people on a low income who don't qualify thru HB/CT
Many Many Thanks to All the Caring People that work here, many of them volunteering for free or reduced wage 😊
J. Q.
You can't bring your pets in doors I had to wait outside and they brought out the medicine. Also they charge £20 for a phone call
W. A.
Sadly had my dog snoop put to sleep and they were so caring and understanding glad that I took him there instead of anywhere else after having my snoop dog with me for 13 years I still miss him everyday but got another Staffy before I lost him to keep me company she's great but can't ever replace snoop so loyal and loving dogs hate it when people say bad things about Staffy's they can't of ever none one, thank you PDSA
R. B.
Love the staffs commitment , the receptionists are lovely and friendly the vets you can see it's more than just a job to them so loving towards pets and explain everything properly always feel my dog has been treated 5 X , can't fault anything.
S. S.
Had to take my mum's cat , she had been fighting as my mum has a dog registered already fluff is a second pet, I think 20 pounds consultion fee is a bit steep, we were with the vet for 5 minutes , no treatment was given , I know that they have to make money but 10 pounds would have been adequate for a quick consultation.
P. J.
They will never turn away a sick animal he was my baby last him two yrs ago miss you Riley
R. M.
Had to have my daughters dog put to sleep today after 17 years of fun her life finally became painful. My daughter has cared for milly on her own for 10 years. Zoe at pdsa hull was fantastic at millys final
Journey. However the whole team have shown nothing but respect towards my daughter and milly the last couple of years. I can’t thank you enough each and every one of you but Zoe. Thankyou for the respect and care during millys last moments.
H. M. T. T.
THEY HAVE SAVED MY CATS LIFE AFTER SHE WAS MAULED BY A BLUE STAFFIE. THEY'D TAKEN EXCELLENT CARE OF HER. AND SHE'S RECOVERING WELL. ONLY DOWNSIDE IS THEY'VE NOT TAKEN THE WIRE FROM HER JAW WHICH IS CAUSING DISCOMFORT FOR HER. BUT THEY'RE SORTING HER OUT ASAP X
P. R.
I have been takin my cat Achilles to this Dedicated team for about 6 years now
I feel fortunate that these wonderful people at this PAH in Hull have always looked after Achilles & made my little man feel at ease & not stressed when he's been seen or admitted for treatment as they're all there purely for the animals they help & treat daily! 🐱🐺🐰
A Huge Thank You to every member of staff that advised & cared for my little man (& me) on 13/4/18 The care & commitment from these wonderful people is 2nd to None Even tho Achilles has sadly passed away in will continue to support this PAH as I can't thank them enough for all their care, compassion & professionalism

L. D.
The staff here go that extra mile to help.
t. b.
From the moment i walked in , the staff were very pleasant and helpful. When i saw the vet she did not try to rush the consultation and explained everything fully.
J. B.
Pdsa were brilliant, they were kind and professional and took great care with my kitten , I won't go anywhere else with my pets , thank you to all the staff x

T. W.
Staff are usually ok they treat ur pets accordingly just wish they would try & make the waiting area a bit more pleasant on the nose as some days it's really pungent& to not just vacume but to seriously wash the mat as you walk in ..
A. R.

Great place for people on low incomes to take their poorly animals but they are a charity so it would help if everyone who goes would give them as much as they can afford.
C. R.
Because we have had to bring our dog a few times recently we have got to know a few of the staff and can't praise them enough for the wonderful work they do under so much pressure and without any actual government funding.
L. M.
Just joined the vets here, lovely staff, reasonable prices, waiting times may vary especially during peak periods, theres room to park on the streets if the car park is full, staff are really caring of my pet..more than happy to give expert advice
A. M.
My 19 month old shih apso unfortunately had to pay an emergency visit to pdsa after eating some rat poison he was not given much hope of making it through the night but with the quick diagnosis and treatment he is now back to him normal self the staff were brilliant, this did cost a lot of money lucky i had pet insurance
a. a.
Fantastic place, the staff are amazing little Stanley got great treatment and came out the next day as happy as ever!
K. B.
My cat had to be euthanasia the lady vet was very patient & professional about it, my cat Neo made it very hard work for her, my Oriental cat was put to sleep end of August so if lady vet is reading this I don't know your name, I'd like to say a very big Thankyou, for being so professional even though he was horrible to you.
I did send a Thankyou card about a week later thanking all PDSA staff for there help throughout his illness & I lefted a special Thankyou message in card for lady vet too, I hope you received the card.
Thankyou for your help with Neo, it meant so much to me.

A. W.
Always good service looked after my dog ....only down side was an hour wait outside in the freezing cold when went to pick my dog up
r. G.
The star you could get no better also the vets are fantastic it's just a shame but some people hardly contribute to their pets treatment if you love your pets you should give a fair contribution please keep this in mind
B. M.
I phoned to see if i qualify for help, they were lovely on the phone and really helpful.
