I phoned after googling. My new rescue dog hasn’t even been registered with a vets yet (as I was doing my research into reputable good ones). He came down poorly with a high temperature and vomiting. He was extremely lethargic and drinking the bare minimum when enticed to only… I was beside myself with worry. Observed him for a few hours in the hopes it might just pass and the temperature might drop… unfortunately this was not the case. I phoned them at 5am this morning. The lady that answered (Claire) was professional, caring and knowledgeable, she took the time to talk to me, explain things, listened to my worries and concerns and advised me that he wasn’t an emergency to be seen at 5am, but that she would like him seen today before the vets closed at lunchtime (being a Saturday). Claire was SO caring and never make me feel rushed or like I was wasting her time, she kindly explained that should I need to phone back if he was deteriorating or I was worried about anything else? They would be there and available until 8am. No charge apparently for a phone call only. (Would have been if they needed to see him). What a wonderful service and from a wonderful lady. I am incredibly grateful. I have since taken my dog to a vets got him registered and checked over he will be ok. Had an anti sickness, not sure why he has a temp, but will monitor him and take him back if he deteriorates. This service and Claire’s kind compassionate nature saved me SO much stress and worry! Thank you Claire and your team. Keep doing what your doing! X

The staff were caring and supportive at what is a stressful time when needing emergency vet care. Our dog was quickly assessed and the vet explained everything clearly. They also notified our vets who then called this morning to check how he was and arranging follow up appointment. Couldn't ask for more.

Just want to say a massive thank you to the staff at Vets Now last night. Our little Bobbi became unwell suddenly and all of the team were so helpful from booking her in quickly, seeing her, giving her a thorough examination and making sure she was ok to come home with us. We can't thank you enough for your care - 5**

Vets Now were very good. They were patient when dealing with our anxiety about our dog and explained the tests and charges, making time for questions. There was a very long period before our dog was seen by a vet (although he'd been triaged by a nurse) but I understand now that they were exceptionally busy with emergencies.

Prioritizing animal welfare is not paramount. Rang the practice due to my hamster being critically ill and wanted to know the painkiller dosage. We had the drug needed at home and her weight needed to work out the dose, however they refused to work it out without seeing her (would have been around £100). My mum works at a vets practice and she explained this on the phone to them, as well as her current state, however they still refused unless they were to see her. She wouldn't have made it through the journey, let alone the stress of taking her for a car journey at midnight and for a critically ill animal, you should prioritize keeping them out of pain. Rather disappointing since I have always heard good things about the practice and charging £100 for a vet to do some maths for us is ridiculous.

Vets Now took great care of our dog after he was admitted to their care over the weekend after eating a stone. Communication was great, treatment was great, they reassured us and we were invited to call for updates whenever we wanted to. Highly recommend.

The care and attention vets now give to the animals is amazing and I had no qualms about going there. I had to have my dog pts on Boxing Day and they were so lovely to us. The dogs have all been with them at one time. As an overnight vet they are pretty pricey, my insurers wouldn’t pay out even half of what their hospitalisation fee is and i think charging as a minimum for 7 hours of care whether they have your animal for 30 minutes or 7 hours is not right. Mine was with them for 9 hours one time and I had to pay for 14 even tho weekdays they only open for 13 hours.
However this is not a moan about staffing or treatment as it’s a head office policy. And every time I was kept abreast of costs and told what they would be at every turn. Tho in a pet emergency it’s not your first thought and you will just say yes.
One last thing I really appreciated the amount of time the vets take to speak to you about your animals health. Whether in person or on phone or during the pandemic prob in the car park, I always felt comfortable with them and the whole team there.
The cost is the only reason for dropping a star.

My dog Percy was cared for by Vets Now over the weekend of February 6-7th at Grange Farm hospital, and I was kept informed of his status at all times. The information given to me was factual and detailed, in how his aspiration pneumonia was affecting him and the treatment choice prescribed. Although he was very ill and I was worried, this was allayed quite a lot by the professionalism of the vets concerned, which was second to none, and for this I am very grateful. Thank you very much to Clare and Libby who were the vets who communicated with me.

We needed to seek emergency vet care in the middle of the night - phoned up, got through immediately and advised to bring our cat along to the surgery straight away. Although not the news we would ever have imagined nor that we could ever have wanted, it was given to us in a professional but sympathetic manner. Everything was clearly explained and both the vet and the vet nurse reassured us of our decision following the prognosis. We were allowed in to the consult room, adhering to social distancing measures, and everything continued to be explained to us throughout - any questions we had were answered in the nicest way possible. We were given the time we needed until we were ready and didn't feel rushed. We were in a state of shock and devastation but we were looked after and supported by caring and compassionate staff.

The vetinary staff at Vets Now were very sympathetic and listened to how we felt regarding our decision, to have our dog Tess put to sleep. They made Tess as comfortable as possible so she didn't suffer. We would like to thank everyone involved. We also received a condolence card with some Forget-me-not seeds to plant in her memory. We would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you again. Mark and Bev Elliss

We had to take our beloved Sprocker Spaniel to Grange Farm Hospital at 1am on a Sunday morning after a violent gastrointestinal outpouring..
The whole experience with the veterinary nursing staff was superb with communication and information without delay. We could not have asked for more and highly recommend them for any pet emergency.

It was a very sad day, Toby was taken to the vets by a lady who saw him run over, thankfully they looked after him until we could get there, they did their best to keep him from pain.
We got to go in the room to say our goodbyes and were with him until the end which was done beautifully and again without too much discomfort.
The vets themselves were very kind and understanding to the situation.
My only complaint was that my usual vets place the passed animals in a biodegradable box ready for burial, maybe something to consider as bringing him home in a towel wasn't easy.

Vetsnow saved my cats life. Louie adopted me about eight years ago and last Friday he came for his breakfast but wouldnt eat or drink. He was referred to Vetsnow by my veterinary practice. I took him to Kesgrave on Saturday and he stayed there for two nights. I had regular updates on his condition by Matthew. He and his team were very kind, considerate & caring.
I cannot praise them enough. What would we do without places and people like Vetsnow. Keep up the good work you do saving our beloved animals.

Took our dog to Vets now after she showed signs of distress at home after a walk. Kept on lifting paw and scraping on carpet. Really agitated. Checked paws. Found nothing. Phone Vets now on a Sunday. Drove to vets now straight away . She had calmed down in reception and nurse gave her an exam just to be sure. No charge as this was a welfare check. Must have been thorn that fell out. Brilliant service and so caring. Thanks.

Vets for now were extremely thorough and gave an excellent service. My 83 year old mother in laws dog was in pain which they sorted out with an excellent service and put her stressed mind at rest with a very well explained prognosis.

They saved our dog's life. We were on holiday and our dog got a twisted stomach. We thought he was ill because he had drunk seawater... I have heard stories of dogs with twisted stomachs being dismissed, told to wait and see how they are in the morning, and by morning they are dead or too ill to be saved. At 11pm it would have been all too easy leave him but the vet was amazing, she didn't leave anything to chance and that's why our best friend is alive now. After X ray and ultrasound the twisted stomach was discovered and he had emergency surgery that took 5 hours. Honestly, these people are heroes to choose to work through the night. On a professional note, our vet (Claire) was extremely good. She communicated everything with as many updates as she could, and gave all the information we needed to make decisions without being patronising and pragmatic without being emotionless. I had full confidence in her to do the best that could be done for our dog. Trust your instincts, if you think something is wrong, and it's after your vet's opening hours, call Vets Now.

Unfortunately I had to have my Maltese dog Rocky put to sleep and I took him to Vets Now. The nurse and the vet were amazing. So understanding and friendly. It was one of the worst thing I have ever done, but they made it bearable

The staff at Vets Now Ipswich were kind and compassionate when we took our darling cat Cookie to them for their help but we had to say goodbye which as anyone with a pet knows is the saddest time ever, but we were allowed to both be with our darling little girl who had lit up our lives for 14 years and it was done in dignity, so thank you to all you wonderful staff for looking after Cookie and being so kind and caring it meant the world to us. ♥️♥️♥️

I was very impressed with the quality of care from the staff that answered the phone to the vet who rang us. Although unfortunately our darling dog had already passed by the time the vet was on his way , we were very grateful for the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff involved. Thank you.

Took my westie to Vets Now at Melton on a Sunday after he ate some sultanas. Despite it been exceptionally busy we were seen quickly so treatment could start before there were potential complications. Everyone we saw, receptionist, nurse and vet, was lovely, professional and caring.

This was a very difficult time for us as our young cat who was less than a year old was gravely ill however the vets, nurses and receptionists were so helpful and did whatever they could to save poor little Nina. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be and we lost her but I know they could have done no more.
Thank you for making such a difficult sad time a little more bearable.

Staff are friendly but the wait can be long depending how busy and if they are dealing with urgent situations. In my case I had to wait more than an hour for my dog to be seen by a vet.
