We adopted a lovely dog from this rescue. The owner, Vickie is amazing and ensures the welfare of the dogs is paramount whilst in her care. More and more people need to start taking rescue dogs in and stop buying from puppy farms. There are so many dogs that need a loving home and this place provides an amazing service to help you do that. We love our little Scamp and to see him so happy makes me smile everyday!

I would definitely recommend Good Life Dog Rescue. They certainly care tremendously for all the dogs in their care and do a wonderful job. They also make the time and make sure you are ready for your new family member. Vicky also has a catch up with you to make sure all is well once adoption complete. We have had Holly Bobs now for just over a week and she has settled in very well and we would be lost without her. Thanks to Vicky and the team at Good Life.

Fantastic place. My dog, Milo, came from here. They care so much for the animals they have and Vicky is incredibly dedicated to her role. Communication was great, very quick replies and very helpful. I would definitely recommend. Milo was very well looked after and healthy when I picked him up. The place has a huge woodland nature trail nearby and the dogs get lots of exercise. I went a few times to meet Milo, easy to find and to organise. I really couldnt be happier with my experience of the place.

We lost our much loved family dog in late 2019, and during lockdown we all realised just how much we were missing having a the love and joy of a furry family member living with us and so started searching for one to help bring some happiness back into our lives. We knew we wanted a rescue dog and in our searching we came across Goodlife Dog Rescue. The website has such lovely photos and write ups about their dogs that we just had to complete a form and go and meet one. When we spoke to Vicky it was obvious just how much love, passion and dedication she puts into her work. She loved and knew all the dogs that she was caring for. But she also knew just how to match up the right humans to the right dog! She listened to our story and the details of our family, she knew exactly which dog would be a match for our family. Oh my word was she right! A love match straight away. Peggy was described as a ‘dream girl’ who walked ‘like a cloud’ - which was spot on! She has been like a therapy dog for all of us. She was just what we all needed and we enjoy providing her with the love and comfort that she deserves. After a while it became apparent that Peggy had some anxieties of her own, which could only perhaps be helped by another fur companion helping her to understand how to be a dog! - how to run, how to play, how to be confident on walks. So we contacted Vicky again, confident that she could help us. Vicky worked her magic again, understanding Peggy’s needs and our families needs. We had a meeting and play date and before we knew it Bruno had joined the family! These beautiful dogs were rescued by Vicky and the team at Goodlife Dog Rescue, their love, dedication and passion gave them a second chance. But as they are so incredibly connected to the care and wellbeing of the dogs, they ensured they went to the right family too. And we are extremely grateful as in fact it is the dogs who have ended up rescuing us! We recommend GoodLife Rescue to everyone and anyone. Thank you Vicky and all the team! ❤️

I have just adopted a lovely little dog called Teddy from Goodlife dog rescue. He is such a lovely little boy. It's tragic how all these dogs end up needing rehoming. It is run by an amazing lady called Vicki, and her team of volunteers. She dedicates her life to ensure these dogs get the home they deserve. She has to rent kennel space to save them from the council dog pound. If you are looking to support a charity, I can't think of another that deserves it more.

The charity works tirelessly to save dogs which have reached Last Hope Saloon. We got our fur baby Enid from the rescue centre, they ensure the dogs are vaccinated and help with the cost of spaying. The charity is run because the people there really care about these poor ani.als which cannot help themselves.

We got our lovely Staffie cross from Good Life Dog Rescue ❤ The rescue centre is run entirely by volunteers, who also have jobs, so please don't be put off if your calls/messages aren't answered immediately. In my experience, someone always rang back eventually. The dogs are cared for beautifully. The centre does require EVERYONE who will be living with the dog to meet before rehoming, so worth noting that you will need to arrange a visit date when everyone is available 👍 The visit and subsequent adoption was smooth and well organised. We couldn't be happier with our gorgeous Bonzo. Thank you Vicky and all the volunteers - you are wonderful humans xx

Filled in an online application to rescue a little staffie after having lost our previous rescue in January. Applied on Sunday, contacted Wednesday by Vickie and away we were with excitement to meet 'Ron' and what an amazing character he is. The kennels at Blyth were A* immaculately clean. All the dog were so content and not barking we wondered if we had arrived at the correct place at first. They are all walked twice a day and stimulated out of kennels in between. Dogs all cleaned and given new collar when rescued and the charity is run by volunteer's who have fulltime jobs and give every ounce of their time to these dogs. House checks and identity all carried out properly so these dogs do not get back in to the wrong hands again. Now to our lovely Ron, we are back to our country walks, beach visits and his paws are well and truly under our feet. Please support this wonderful charity and rescue a dog. So highly recommend Justine, Alan, Teigan and 'Ron'

One fantastic, hardworking and dedicated rescue centre. They never stop saving the stray hounds and providing forever homes for them, appropriate forever homes. They don't give up on the rescue dogs.

Goodlife is a brilliant charity helping those dogs in need. To the bad reviews, please know that this is a small charity with no staff its not a case of first come 1st served. There can be hundreds of applications for the dogs and getting through them and trying to match each dog to the right home is hard work, especially whilst working fulltime. This can obviously take time. Please be understanding x

The lady who runs the rescue is a one in a million .I adopted a dog from this rescue we had a surprise but Vickie was with us all the way giving help and support at a difficult time .And you know what I love she won't just let her dogs goto anyone your propley checked with follow ups and you can call her anytime and she's always here for you. She really cares about the dogs in her care .I would highly recommend.

Brilliant rescue all our staffies came from there. Knowledgeable staff matching the right dog to human. I've seen a lot of people saying they can't understand why they didn't get to adopt a dog as they've large gardens, two homes, a holiday home ect ect thinking if you've lots of money and well off that means you get a dog, but vicky is all about the dogs needs and dogs don't need two homes and money they need love and time and patience and that's how it should be. She's great and the rescue is amazeing. We visited the kennels over numerous weeks, walking dogs, chatting to vicky and were overjoyed at getting fudge.

This place is great especially if your looking for a staffie, vickie does an amazing job along with the volunteers and staff, the advice and help at matching dog to human and life style is second to none, plenty time given to chat and take as many dogs as you need for a walk to ensure you find the right one for you. We've had a dog from good life in the past and she was a brilliant staffie and we'll get our next staffie from here also. So many staffies are in rescues desperate for love sofas and snuggles, why would you get a puppy when you can skip the toilet training, teething and high jinx and go straight to the fun stuff.... First class rescue vickie was extremely helpful and was very professional in how she works and wont let the dogs in her care go until she is perfectly happy that the dog is going to the right home ,giving good advice and aftercare is really good ,nothing is too much trouble for vickie. We were extremely satisfied with our rescue dog lizzy now known as izzy we adopted her last friday and its like shes been part of the family for ages she's settled really well i shall be forever grateful to vickie for rescuing izzy .im sure Auntie vickie will get lots of updates from izzy .
