A life-saver. Will recommend this place to all pet owners who at times may struggle to afford vet bills. The staff are always nice and friendly despite how busy it can get, and how late they work. Took my mum’s cat recently after it was quite ill and the vets & nurses were excellent throughout. Make sure to leave a donation, it all helps.

Called to re-register after 1 of my cats was bleeding badly from his foot, they registered me over the phone and gave me an appointment within 20 mins of calling. A really nice vet and vetinary nurse saw him and explained what he needed to have done. After his surgery I was called to collect him the same day. They are just the same as a normal vetinary practice but are there to help people on a low income so they can get treatment when needed.

We had to take our Little Bella in when we noticed she was blind. She deteriorated very fast over the course of a week. We had to go PDSA 4 times in 5 days and Out Of Hours once. Each time the reception staff were so understanding and compassionate and loved Bella just as much as us. We seen 3 different vets and they were all so helpful and informative and did different tests and medications to try to get answers and make her better. Unfortunately, Bella was just too poorly and had to cross the Rainbow Bridge on Monday. Again, the receptionist and the Vets were so friendly, compassionate, patient and answered all my questions multiple times, gave me plenty of time to say my goodbyes and supported my wishes throughout. I left a donation at the end but they deserve more for the support they gave me and the peaceful end they gave Bella. 16.5.21-20.9.21 ❤❤

I have used the pdsa for a while and they have been ok. But the last time I took my cat in they were very rude would speak over me wouldn't listen to what I was saying. I ended up ringing the vets again a few days later to ask for medication which is what they should of gave me when u went it. Made a complaint but I think it wasent dealt with properly

Sorted my doggy issues out. All social distancing in place. No entry into the vets. You call and do the assessment over the phone. Then get invited over to collect the meds. Didn't take very long. Very efficient.

Helpful and friendly But they are not undertaking any operations apart from emergency. Needed my Rabbits neutered so had to pay £80 per Rabbit. This was quite alot of expense as unfortunately lost my job in first lockdown and needed PDSA services but couldn't help me.

i can not thank these enough. my dog has been coming for a few yrs as she was getting old and lots of issues , we had to make the sad decision to have her PTS last week they went through everything with us and gave us plenty of time to say our good bye's they gave us everything to get her cremated and we now have her back home . the vets and all the staff are amazing . thank you for everything , from myself and my family and our beautiful girl molly

Fantastic staff, very empathetic. Sadly had to have our pet dog of 18 years put to sleep so was very emotional. Was given a private room and given as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. Cremation was all arranged through the PDSA and he arrived back at home a week later to rest

I've used PDSA several times and each time the vet/nurse has been very knowledgeable. The receptionist staff are all friendly, the only downside is the waiting times. Sometimes you can be straight in then but on another occasion be waiting for an hour. They do a remarkable job especially as a charity so a I don't think having to wait an hour to perhaps save an injured pet can demote a star.

Wonderful vet's and all the staff too. I have however of late struggled with the new chargers that have been put in place. I have always given a good donation on every visit, always a minimum of £10 pound and above,but because of the few who can well afford private vet's they find a way round as not to give a fair donation, if you can arrive at the pet hospital in a new car/Range Rovers/wearing lots of gold then surely they can pay more than a few pounds. I feel this method that has been bought in is completely unfair and wrong with the rights of my career/partner.

Not liking the new way the pdsa are operating due to Covid.. I called them as my pet needed to see a vet. I had to wait for a call back which didn't happen till the next day. The vet just prescribed medication over the phone. So no face to face appointment. And it cost £20 just for a telephone conversation.

I moved from a Vet service to the PDSA, l found it difficult having to chose which of my two cats would be the cat to go 'Free' with a reduction in costs for the second cat. Also, l need to be more organised with treatments ect, as all that was done for me previously by the vet practice. But the financial rewards balance it all out.

This pdsa is the best. I had to take my Springer here 6 months ago when he was not well. They tried everything to make him bettet but upon doing a final.scan on him.they found the had really bad cancer and was pts as there was nothing that could be done to save him. 😥

Long waiting times unfortunately. Cat designated area always full of dogs. It can be quite busy and noisy at times and always has a funny smell when entering the building. My poor cat is always a bag of nerves when visiting. He always seems to have an upset stomach for a few days after visiting? Unfortunately this is the only place I can afford to have him seen at present.

This is a well equipped pet hospital, it's not just for people on benefits either, their fees are appropriate and usually a lot less than your average vets practice, it's run by kind and helpful staff and is always clean and has ample parking

We had to take Bella to the pdsa with an emergency she damaged her leg she was suffering with arthritis in her legs she broke all her tendants in her back leg they gave her strong pain relief and an imflamaty injection hoping it would help by Saturday tea time she hadn't had a wee and was in so much pain so took her back to the pdsa she had to stay in so they could give her fluids and pain relief we had to wait till Monday till the other vets to come they rang me her leg had filled with fluid sadly we had to say goodbye to the pdsa staff where lovely they all fussed her while she was there they let all 7 of us go down to her kennel and said all our goodbyes they let us stay with her till the end the only thing I didn't like is we had to wait from Monday till the Friday when she got picked up for her cremation then I got a parcel I'm like i didn't order anything and when I opened it they were bellas ashes I was broken hearted to know she came on the back of a van it was the pdsa funeral but cannot fault staff I have been with them many many year's now

I take my animals all the time and they have helped so much. The only problem i have is the waiting time and the waiting area being very packed that i struggled to find a place. So i had to stand for 20 minuets.

I rescued a Labrador who had been chained up outside with barely any shelter for 8 years. As a Pensioner I really could not afford to keep another dog, but I could not bear to think of him living in those conditions. I persuaded the owners to let me have him (the RSPCA were not interested ). He had various health problems, needed neutering, and latterly diagnosed with a leaking heart valve. The vet's and staff of the PDSA at Braunstone have been wonderful to Ben and if it hadn't been fo them he would still been living the awful life he had. You are all a godsend to anyone who love and want to care for animals, but low income makes it impossible to afford vetinary bills. Bless you all. Wendy East Leake.
