E. R.A few key points from me:
Vets for pets have a policy that states if you're 5 minutes late to an appointment it will be cancelled/rescheduled. Does this mean we should be given compensation when our appointments are running behind? I had an appointment for 9:15AM yesterday and wasn't seen until 9:35AM. A 20 minute wait which isn't the end of the world but the lack of communication was very apparent. Is it up to me to appear impatient and ask when my cat will be seen?
Additionally, a small niggle, once my cat had been seen we had to stand in the lobby and wait for medicine to be dispensed. This wouldn't normally be a problem, other than the fact there was no was nowhere to sit/stand where there wasn't a pooch. I like dogs, my cat does not - shouldn't the room be split so dogs on one side, smaller pets on the other?
My final story is of my cat Mittens. She was seen by the practice as she was losing a lot of weight in a short space of time, the vet advised to up her food intake. No problem. 2 weeks later she is still losing weight so we take her back, this time, a different vet finds a suspicious lump (something the first vet definitely missed) - the vet requests blood tests. No problem. They come back clear. Next step, we need a scan for Mittens. Again, fine. Scan results come back: 'There is lump, but we don't know what it is'... I am £350/400 down at this point and we're back to square one? Next steps were suggested oncology testing which by this point our cats suffering was too great and we had her put down. Perhaps the practice was following protocol, yet why do I feel let down?
This practice is great at finding an appointment on short notice and usually the administrative staff are very accomodating. There must be staffing issues going on here as we see a new vet every time and there are always delays when it comes to appointments.
P. P.Great team. Down to earth and friendly. Nice extra touch in the collar provided with her name and little flowers drawn on it. A simple thing that made us feel like our dog was in caring hands. Brilliant service and very well cared for dog that is recovering amazingly well from her surgery.
s.The difference from my previous vet is like night and day. Both the reception staff and vet were very understanding of how scared my dog is of the vets and took their time to try and win him over. They were so kind, gentle and I didn't feel we were being rushed at all. I cannot tell you what a difference this makes for both me and my pet. Very happy with my decision to move!
B. T.These vets have been a life saver, literally. Going above and beyond. (If other vets charge less it's because they're doing less...) And receptionists (mostly) are incredibly patient and helpful, I am Autistic and worry a LOT so while dog is ill and waiting for surgery I've been calling most days to check on things and update her files and they've (usually) been lovely.
Unfortunately I have had trouble getting help or advice on a couple of occasions and felt very much dismissed, as well as feeling like I've not been given all the information upfront at other times.
I do really appreciate the continued enforcement of Pandemic protections in appointments, meaning I can access this essential service and feel safe, ish. Thank you so much.
C. M.We saw vet Sameer again and he's lovely. Kind, caring and knowledgeable. He was also personally recommended to us 2 years ago by a pet rescue centre as a rabbit expert.
A. “. l.took my cat for castration. staff friendly and professional. took care of him even after had a check up. reasonable pricing too.would 100% recommend.
S. s.I was treated with friendliness, curtesy, and Bandit was treated as if the pet was the vets own Gabrial was amazing, being in the consulting room brought back the day my other cat had to be put down due to cancer, so I started to cry Gabrial was very kind and sensitive to the situation and my feelings, he examined Bandit with care explained the possible causes and then took her to have a blood test, 24hrs later he called to say that she had an over active thyroid and she would have to have another blood test due to a mix up, an appointment was made and confirmed, the service my cat and myself received was impeccable I wish the NHS was the same thank you team and well done

M. A.I was given an appointment quickly when rang about my cat suddenly becoming really I'll. Reception was very helpful. When taken into the treatment room the vet Vicki was very warm and friendly and put me at my ease as I was feeling worried. She was very thorough and professional with all aspects of investigation into his problem explaining everything clearly in detail as she went along. She gave me full confidence in her whilst giving me the time to ask questions which she answered thoroughly. All in all I was extremely satisfied and will not hesitate to return with Simba.
A. P.New client visited for annual boosters and a health check up! Super freindly and knowledgeable staff- receptionist very freindly too, customer service is great here! Current covid situation means you'll have to phone the vets before attendance, service works very well! Affordable pricing, and they even offer a plan (pricing depending) where vaccinations including Kennel cough, flea and wormer for your pet too for a affordable amount a month!

R. W.We have been with this vets surgery for many years and have always been happy with the way that we and our pets have been treated. I took my cat to the vets today for his annual vaccinations and I was so pleased with the way that he was treated. We were seen slightly later than our appointment time but when we went into the room, I could see why. I dont know the name of the vet who saw Hunter but he was very patient and let him explore the room until he was settled and then carried out his vaccinations and health check
wherever he was happy sitting at the time. Thanks for a lovely stress free appointment

S. M. &. M. L.I needed my dog to be seen by a vet at short notice as I was about to go on holiday and my dog's usual vet was unavailable. I rang on a busy Monday morning and was able to be registered and my dog seen and treated within 2 hrs of that call. Not an easy thing to be accomplished during this pandemic..!!
H. R.Our cat has had the misfortune of visiting Vets 4 Pets frequently over the past year. The staff and vets are polite and helpful most of the time but most of the vets have a habit of prescribing expensive medication and instead of carefully considering the best course of treatment. It took far too long (MONTHS!) and an escalation by me to find the root cause of my pet's condition.
You get the impression they try to get you in for as many charged appointments as possible and drag out the treatment. Add to this that
most of the vets seem to be young and inexperienced. When we saw the senior vet via an escalation, he immediately performed a proper examination and found the root cause. Unfortunately it was three months late!
This is of course my personal opinion and experience. On the whole they are acceptable but make sure your pet has good insurance.
Update: Adding one extra star since the surgery and after care performed on my pet was excellent and he is doing well.

K. B.Companion care at fosse park looks after all 4 of my dogs. Some vets are better then others but I have always managed to get an appointment when needed and they have all received the best care possible.
The reception staff are brilliant, always friendly and polite. They always apologise if I have to wait.
Prices are very good compared to my previous vet as is the parking which was also an issue.
Would highly recommend them.

We have Emma take care of our dogs weight so he stays at his ideal weight and she is absolutely amazing.
Samir (spelt that wrong, so sorry) operated on our dogs back leg and did an amazing job with it and his recovery was well handled. Our dog rex loves seeing him and going into the clinic
They have a free weight scales in the reception too.

Got back to the vets to be told oo he has just had his xray and now going to have his surgery ... As dog owners may know its a worrying time ... Told the receptionist and nurse which they just seem to have brushed it off ... And to be honest didnt really like the vet who did my dogs surgery either as i thought she seemed to come across like i didnt know my dog and spoke to me like i was an idiot ... But all in all this is the only issue i have found with the practise but i do think training or something needs to be done about the information given to owners because i dont think you would have it in a hospital with patience

if it had been for these people my dog wouldnt be alive to day
at 18 months he had liver failure , with in 30 minuets i was at the surgury and kye ( my dog)
was having examination ,put on drip ,injections and all the other things that had to be done.
he was put on a drip and needed 24 /7 care for 3 days . nothing was to much trouble for ANY of
the staff i myself was in tears but they also took care of me , and each day i went in
it was like going to freinds as they asked how i was and kept me goin while kye was so ill.
Yes he recovered, but since the hes had a few miss happs all his oown fault
( he a little Hudeany ) or thinks he is .
All i can say is theses people put there heart and soul in looking after the animal in there care ,and NOTHING is to much trouble for them
I wouldnt change to any other vets
