I have always found Mr Murphy to be very kind, extremely knowledgeable and totally caring and I trust him 100% with the care of my much loved animals. I have recommended him to many friends and acquaintances over the years and will continue to do so. He treats all animals and people with respect and explains clearly his diagnosis and treatments. Not always the case with some other vets.

Sean Murphy is, quite simply, remarkable. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He is swift and decisive which instills great confidence. For an array of complex and serious health issues my dog recently suffered, Sean diagnosed quickly and treated immediately, predicting the illnesses/problems with 100% accuracy before tests were even carried out/results were in. He is incredibly efficient yet caring and professional yet compassionate. He is supported by a wonderful, friendly team of people. I am sure we all hope to retire one day but if Sean ever does it will be a tremendous loss to the veterinary profession and to local pet parents (and no doubt plenty of others who travel from further afield to benefit from his outstanding expertise). Sean is an absolute legend in my eyes and, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the service provided by Sean and his team at Medivet Welton is head and shoulders above the three other (much larger, multi-vet/office) veterinary practices I have used in recent years. I cannot recommend Sean and his team highly enough.

Great customer care. We got a same day appointment after a very elderly dog was not her sparkling best over the previous weekend. Lots of explanations and information given with an alternative method of treatment devised as my dad struggled with the previous regime. The vet was also very clear about the different costs involved. Rosie never even noticed the injections as she got lots of dog liver paste to lick and distract her. We have great confidence in the new vet.

We have been taking our dog to Sean Murphy at Welton for circa 9 years. Trust is not given over lightly where our pets are concerned. We are glad to say that we have complete trust in Sean's advice and treatment of our faithful friend and would not hesitate to recommend Welton Veterinary Clinic. Sean also has genuine compassion and warmth for the animals he treats. Despite recent reservations to go ahead with an operation to our dog's left hind leg, Sean convinced us it was the right thing to do. He did this without any pressure and presenting the facts in a straightforward way. The surgery was a complete success and the aftercare was excellent. Our dog is fully recovered, in A1 condition and back to causing trouble:-) We would also like to say that Sean is supported by a great team of people who are nothing short of welcoming and accommodating, even with very short-notice requests for an appointment. I have been using this vet for 20 years I can not speak more highly of them On more than one occasion they have saved one of my dogs lives. Recently I took my dog with severe heart problems thinking it would have to be put to sleep But no I was told with treatment she would be ok and live a reasonable active life This has proved to be the case which is wonderful One great point is you get to see the same vet Sean Murphy when you go .A lovely friendly and highly skilful guy and the dogs like him also which is something to be said at the vets also friendly and helpful staff

Sean and his family are absolutely great: I recommend this practice without reservation. All of our dogs have been excited to go in to see Sean, and even the rabbit used to seem pleased to get a ride in the car to see him! He has genuine compassion both for the animals and for their owners at what can be very difficult times.

We bought our puppy Willow a few months ago and never expected her to need veterinary care quite so soon. Unfortunately over a weekend last month she rapidly fell sick and was incapable of standing when we took her to Welton Veterinary clinic first thing Monday. Sean was magnificent- he took her in and after X-rays and blood tests he diagnosed a condition which is quite rare on young female dogs and one he hadn't seen on a dog her age before. He kept us updated and carried out emergency surgery that morning, and once we got her home he kept in contact phoning us to check how she was doing before our next scheduled visit. Further complications were handled with care and sensitivity and we can't imagine ever needing to visit another vets because the service we received from Sean and his team was terrific. Thank you for saving Willow and preventing me from having to tell my 9 year old daughter the worst sort of news.

I have entrusted the care of my much loved dogs to Sean and his team since the practice opened in Welton. I have the utmost confidence in his ability as a vet, and just as importanly, as far as I am concerned, all my pets have been entirely comfortable with him. One of my dogs lived to the ripe old age of eighteen, but would not have survived past her fifth year had it not been for Sean's expertise and knowledge. The practice is always in the front line of new and innovative treatments and I have always found the staff at the clinic helpful, friendly and efficient and when the difficult times came, their genuine compassion meant a great deal. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice in the highest terms.

Sean looks after both my cat and dog. I am very pleased with the treatment and service we receive from the whole team at the Clinic. I would not have a dog if it were not for Sean's expertise. My Jack Russell nearly died when he swallowed a peach stone earlier this year, but has now made a full recovery following surgery. My cat is an old lady who needs a little TLC. I would not take her anywhere else.

I had to take my 9 year old Great Dane to have a haematome in her ear operated on as well as a skin condition treated. This involved several visits and Sean's gentle manner with her was such that every we went she trotted into the treatment room with a waggy tail. The explanations as to what was going on were exceptional and this worried owner felt a lot happier. He also recognised and treated a renal condition (Now no more weeing through the night!!!). Angela was super efficient in dealing with appointments, prescriptions and ensuring that the insurance claim went through straight away. One happy owner and a very happy pooch here. Thank you very much to you and your team for a friendly and professional service.

Me & my pets have been using this practice for the last 15 years and have nothing but praise for the way they have treated my labradors and cat over that time. The staff are friendly and helpful and all the staff have empathy with the animals that they treat. My labrador enjoys going to the vet so much that when Sean calls her she goes trotting in on her own ! We have to follow. I would recommend, without hesitation, this practive to anyone who cares about their pets. Our last visit was on the 12th February so is very recent.

Our Labrador suddenly became ill and we thought we would lose him. It turned out that he had eaten two halves of a tennis ball which were still stuck in his intestines. Sean operated promptly and within hours he was back walking and returned home. He has now made a 100% recovery and is back to his naughty self. A remarkably quick recovery as a result of excellent surgery from Welton vets, there is virtually no scarring at all and we have a happy Labrador. Many thanks.

Having read Mr. Baileys anonymous review I have to ask are we talking about the same practice?? Saun Murphy has been our family vet for many years and during that time we have ALWAYS received the utmost professional and caring treatment with both surgical procedures and routine visits. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Indeed they are only too aware that our dogs are cherished members of our family and are patient with our frequent health and general well-being enquiries and concerns to keep them in top condition. Without doubt I would -and frequently do- recommend this first class veterinary team.
