A wonderful cattery. From booking to collection we felt so reassured and knew our senior cat Luca would be well cared for and safe. He looked happy and groomed when he came home and chilled. Leaving him this week for a second visit and highly recommend. Thanks Mike

Our cat Smokey has stayed at Cats Cottage Cattery a number of time, since he was a kitten. He is a deaf cat and is well looked after when he stays there. He comes home happy, like he has had his own little holiday. We have seen how at ease Smokey is with Mike the owner when we collected him and he jumped onto Mike's shoulder and was very content and happy. He comes back home stress free and settles in at home straight away. I would definitely recommend this cattery to anyone who is not sure about leaving their cat in new surroundings. We have always found Mike to be helpful and pleasant and quick to reply to any queries that we have.

After not leaving my 12 year old cat in a cattery for over 8 years, I was more than nervous about it, but Mike put me right at ease, he showed me round where Leo would be staying and made him feel right at home. Leo has been treated as if he was one of their own pets, the place is clean, homely, it has indoor and outdoor access for your cat and my cat has had a lovely experience at cats cottage. I can't thank cats cottage enough for looking after him so well for me, and I would highly recommend this cattery, and Leo will definitely be staying there again in the future 😊😊😊

I have used Cats cottage cattery several times a year for over five years and always been completely satisfied. I have used many other kennels and catteries over 25 years and know what to look for. My cat is not an easy one to look after but Mike has a way with her and she comes home relaxed and happy. The runs are always clean and fragrant and the external door is always closed before the internal door is opened. The opening hours are perfectly acceptable with day and evening drop off and collect times. I recommend this cattery to my friends with complete confidence.

We always find Mike to be very professional and helpful, and it's reassuring to know they are well cared for while we are away! I have been taking my cat to Mike at Cats Cottage for a number of years now. He's always extremely helpful with carrying the cats (I have two)and the vet food I bring, as I always have much more stuff than I can carry. The cats settle in well every time despite not enjoying the car journey. When I collect them I always go with Mike to collect them from their chalets and they are always extremely content and clearly have formed a bond with him, which for one of my cats in particular who generally doesn't like people or life itself, is a huge achievement! I'm a sucker for looking at the other cats when I'm there and they always look well cared for and content. I have been to other catteries before moving to southport and I have to say I'm more than happy with Cats Cottage and the care Mike gives to my cats 🐱🐱

I have used Cats Cottage on numerous occasions, I have always found the owners to be friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, our cat has always been in good condition when we have picked her up. I have had no hesitation in recommending this Cattery to friends and they have also been happy with the service they have received, also a big plus point for me is that there is an outside area for each cat alongside their pen do they are not just looking at four walls! I have also used many other catteries and this compares favourably to them all.

Great place. Mike looked after our Pride and joy British Blue Bluebelle for 10 days. Bluebelle was happy, looked after and very well fed (she’s a greedy guts! 😀) Mike sent us a couple of messages too to stop my son worrying about his beloved pet while we were on holiday. I was let down with someone looking after our cats and rang to see if by any small chance they could fit us in and lucky for us they had a cancellation. I was dubious as they're both still only 9 months old and we hadn't left them before. Mike is lovely I needn't have worried. We were stuck in traffic on our return and I knew we wouldn't make it back in time so I rang Mike to explain and he was fine he said they could stay another night bit in the end my brother and sister in law went and got them. They were both absolutely fine when we eventually got home I think they both enjoyed their little holiday. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely use them again. Thanks Mike for everything.

I used this cattery over the summer for my 2 young cats. Mike put me at ease as I was nervous leaving them for the first time & was very helpful on the phone. He was even happy to let me book an extra night & day last minute as I had a delay with my flight home from holiday. Overall very happy & would use again :)

Cat Cottage in Formby have looked after our holidaying felines for over 14 years. Communication is easy with Mike, rates reasonable and they always come home happy, fed and seem chilled there. It's good to know they are being well looked after. You can pick up / drop off at 8 am weekdays which is handy. We wouldn't go anywhere else. They can accomidate food preferences which is handy with our current two! Highly recommended

Had our cat (who is very choosey) stayed for the first time and I was very pleased with the Cattery but more pleased with the fact she could get outside in an enclosed area just for her and not being overlooked by other cats which would have unsettled her. The owner was very helpful and kept us advised as to her own holiday enjoyment Phil and Scabby ( don't ask!)
