Sadly we needed to contact the surgery as we needed to have our rabbit put to sleep. The receptionist with whom we made first contact was extremely helpful and understanding of our feelings. An appointment was swiftly made and all the staff we encountered at the surgery were very kind and supportive, they made a very difficult time more bearable. I highly recommend this surgery.

Used this vet for years from kittens to unfortunate end of life...I swear by the friendliness and comfort the vets provide you and your loved animal. He is a big ginger tom almost 9kg..yes that's a small dog carrier

Took my kitten here for her first vaccination today the vet was really helpful with lots of great advice and information, all of the staff are always helpful and friendly. It's not easy I am sure to manage the clinic in the current circumstances caused by the Coronavirus pandemic but Alcombe is doing a fantastic job looking after us and our pets.

Excellent vets, explained diagnosis clearly for my cat. No unnecessary treatments. Very friendly. Would definitely recommend. Have previously attended when a pet had to be euthanised as very old and nothing more could be done. The staff and vet were really accommodating and made everything as comfortable as possible for everyone involved. A very sad thing for them to have to do but they did everything they could.

I have been using this vet practice for 20 years. I have always been very satisfied with the service I have recieved. The vets are very helpful and caring, they explain all the treatments available and advise on best choices. I have never felt pressured into following a course of treatment for my pet which I was not comfortable with.

I have used this vets for many years as well as work there when I was younger. My daughter did her work experience there, then was a Saturday girl, then went on to do an apprenticeship with them. She loved it, it was very hard work and she excelled. She spread her wings after a few years and gained different experiences working somewhere else for a year but has returned to the Alcombe team! I trust them with my animals and would recommend them to others. Thank you for everything you all do!!

Great service while you're in the clinic. The vets are really attentive and friendly, and it's usually easy to get the appointment you want. However their follow-up is poor. No reminders about upcoming vaccinations and boosts, and you'll have to call or walk over to get information they promised to send post-consultation. But as neighborhood vets go, we've been pleased to have them close by.

Alcombe vets has long opening hours which makes life so much easier. They are always welcoming from the receptionists to the vets themselves. My dog is always nervous about entering the building but comes out happy having been looked after superbly .

She was spayed and vaccinated in here also she made her re-appearance to the clinic couple times after neighbors cats fights! Recommended!

***(Since I posted the bellow review, Alcombe Veterinary Surgery got in touch with me and we found a way to balance the issue with the quotes for my cat's dental treatment. The manager has been very apologetic about the whole miss communication issue regarding the new prices and I must admit she has gone above and beyond in order to find a solution, which I am happy to report she has, so I thank her for this!!) We shall continue using Alcombe, even though they are not an independent veterinary surgery anymore, since staff is brilliant and the care they give to our furry (or not) babies is absolutely superb!! MY REVIEW BELLOW; I have used this surgery since my boyzzzz where kittens and would like to continue using it, since even though they are not an independent vet's anymore, the staff and care they give to our babies is superb!!So... Following the advice of my vet's, I have decided to get both of the boyzzzzz dental treatment done, since it's a wise thing to do for their long term well being... When I was originally told they both need it after their yearly checkup back in October '19, I was then given an expected estimate price. I decided to go ahead with it and booked their appointments for today and tomorrow respectively. When I arrived to drop off my cat Erns this morning, I was told that the price has risen by approx £300 on top of what I was quoted each, due to the veterinarian surgery been bought by another company who changed prices in order to be in line with the rest of the business, so I am expected to pay £690 for each cat!! I say this; At which point didn't you realize that good practice means you need to let your customers know of a price change prior to them attending their appointment for treatment??? One is extremely disappointed by this terrible lack of communication.

Amazing vets ... I absolutely love these guys, truly caring and attentive. Nothing is ever too much. Calm relaxing clean practice filled with animal lovers ... reception staff are also fantastic and try to meet my needs as best they can. I have 2 huskys and they love alcombe too. They especially love the treats they get upon arrival 😂🙈 ... all in all the best practice i have ever used.

I cannot recommend Jaime and Alcombe surgery enough. My dog had a life threatening condition and the way he and his team dealt with it both professionally (in both diagnoisis and treament) and personally (with me crying!) was exemplary. I've always used this vet and thought them to be good, but now I appreciate them on a whole new level!

I have been coming here for years with my West Highland Terrier and have never received bad service. They're a friendly bunch and the place has a nice atmosphere. Fellow dog owners complain that they rarely see the same vet twice, since the practice seems to rely on a series of young eager locums, and that's true, but I have never found it a problem. Minus a star because they once recommended antibiotics for the dog of a friend when the animal only had a cold. All together now - antibiotics don't work on colds, and we suspect they were only presecribed so the vet could make a some money. That must be what medicine is like in the USA. .

This has been our vet of choice from almost the moment when Tim Halford established the practice in Northfield Avenue decades ago. He had a real gift with animals and all of our cats warmed to him immediately. This is also the veterinary practice favoured by many of the locals who are involved with the Pets As Therapy programme (PAT) which brings well-tempered and affectionate pets into care homes and hospices to bring comfort to the residents.
