I have to say that my whole experience was exceptional even from the initial call to the practice. The vet was very knowledgeable about my breed of dog. The whole team of staff here are very professional and caring. I travelled quite a distance based on a recommendation from the breeders. I would highly recommend this vets... This practice is amazing . The emergency care they gave to our beautiful dog was just brilliant. They were considerate and kept us up to date with progress and I know the operation they performed as an emergecy was long , difficult and challenging. I can’t thank the vets and the whole team enough and I’ll be eternally grateful to them for saving Harley’s life and all they do as a profession.

Barrier clinic has a really happy friendly atmosphere. It’s clean, welcoming and the staff are excellent. I have been coming here since not long after it opened with my old golden retriever , now with my elderly cat and my young Springer. Most importantly I trust them.

My pets been looking after well by Barrier Vet over 10 years, Nigel always solve their health problems without disappoint me, cost is reasonable, just wonder where are those lovely receptionist gone? They took care of our bookings, explain well for any medication needed, & always welcome us with warmly & friendly smiles, very initiative, i don't feel these anymore on my yesterday visit..

Barrier is extremely friendly vet clinic. we have been here on couple of occasions with out bunnies and always received a great service ! staff is always friendly, place is very clean and the bills reasonable comparing to other clinics. very recommend for everyone who's looking for a great service vet.

My first visit here with the greyhound. And we met another grey next in the line! Impressed with the vets knowledge and advice. Back after payday to get his teeth sorted out. The Hound was quite happy here, so says it all really

We first went to this vet surgery when we had our first dog a beautiful golden retriever named Max. The vets and nurses could not have been more kind and helpful throughout the many years we attended. When our beloved Max had finally to be put to sleep the vet came to the house and with all his loved ones around Max passed away. This was a sad time for us all but the experience was made bearable but the wonderful and caring staff. We now have a new goldie and of course we have returned to the Animal Barrier Clinic for all Toby's needs. The care and devotion is still there. We would recommend this veterinarian service to anyone.

All my pets dogs and cats have been treated very well. Very experienced and I have found no fault with the staff who are very polite. The vets take their time to listen and treatment has been excellent.

very warm and welcoming when entering reception even though it was only my 2nd time the reception staff remembered alfies name. i love the payment plan as well 12.50 a month and that covers cost of injections worming microchip and money off food etc. Amazing and for somebody on a low income its a great way for your pet to be looked after properly.

I recently had to bring my cat here for an emergency appointment, all the staff were so welcoming, friendly and kind. My cat was so well cared for here that I have now registered my dog here too, they really do care about the animals here and the staff provide the best possible customer service to both owners and animals, thank you!

The best vet practice I have ever used - they are not like the homogeneous pets at home style practices at all and offer very flexible and affordable vet fees - compared to other vets I have used this was the first and only vet that actually took the time to find out about my dogs history and wellbeing. I have never been bombarded with extreme bills or unnecessary procedures as is with other vet practices that I have used in the past. The receptionists go above and beyond to help wherever they can, even offering advice on which best vets to use when we are in France.

Fantastic. Patient, kind and empathetic staff who are flexible, helpful and great at their jobs. I'm new to being a 'cat Dad' and have found myself in something of a panic with my little furry one on more than one occasion. Barrier Vets have been infinitely patient with me and have given Kitty (my little cat) excellent care. I'll definitely be using Barrier Vets in future.

I've been using Barrier Animal Care Clinic for a number of years now. They've treated anything from my green Iguanas, rabbits, hamsters, cats and dogs. The last time I needed to visit, was with my elderly German Shepherd dog who was showing signs of pyometra which we didn't know at the time. The reception staff couldn't have been more helpful or understanding when she had an accident in the reception area. They calmed my family down while the vet ran tests there and then. She needed surgery the following morning, the vet phoned before, during and after to keep us updated on Kimba's progress. We were allowed to visit when ever we wanted. They also phoned a week later with the test results. We also have a Siberian Husky (16 months old) who loves visiting. She loves to give everyone hugs and kisses, not sure the staff like the tongue up the middle of their faces but they never show it... Well maybe with a quick sneaky wipe. She's very hyperactive, again they understand. The vet is able to calm her down quickly. I can't fault the Barrier Animal Care Clinic in any shape or form, so highly recommend this practice you won't regret it! Even though we have moved further away we still travel to them, why? Because they are that good! Why change something that isn't broken?

I took a group of hermans tortoise juveniles to Barrier vets last week, special thanks to Sam for following up info for me, even emailing from home as I missed his call! And to Linda the vet, very experienced with herps (amongst other things) which gives you a great peace of mind when entrusting your animals to someone. Highly recommend and will be using again.

Came here with my budgie, the vet really knew her stuff. She quickly identified what was wrong with my budgie, and what we could do about it. Little bit pricey, but for any bird I am sure you will get what you are looking for. You can't put a price on their health😊

I have been a client of The Animal Barrier Clinic for almost 15 years. My first Shihtzu Archie was very well looked after there... my second Shihzu (Rescue) KOKO was extremely cared for .. as he was very aggressive and staff at the Bartier always overlooked this and upmost care was given. (Even though he bit a vet badly) Unfortunately Koko was taken suddenly after his cancerous kidney was removed by the barrier .. it spread soo fast it was very rare form. He was diagnosed one day .. operation the next- every second counts to save their lives x Now on a lighter note .. today I have a new rescue Shihtzu called Drake & yes he does show the amazing “Olga “ ..(who might I add has been at the practise since I used it) is the most trustworthy nurse/ manager/ whatever her title is now I simply have Soo much faith in her and I know she will always look after my babies!! In fact my little soldier is booked for a dental procedure this week and I feel totally as ease as he is in the hands of Olga!!

My son's crested gecko was very poorly and our local vet did not do reptiles. I found Barrier on Facebook through recommendations on the Crested Gecko pages. Even though I wasn't registered with them they were FANTASTIC on the phone advising me and getting us a quick appointment. The staff very friendly, the vet amazing and so helpful. Great vet clinic! Rabbit vets are few and far between and Linda is wonderful. I appreciate the long opening hours as an 8h15 or 19h00 appointment allows me not to have to take time off work. The entire team really do treat your pet like their own and know them as well as we do. Highly recommended!

I've been taking my SBT here since he was a wee pup, fortunately no real health problems, just visits every now and again to pick up the flea and worming treatments. When we did have an issue, with young pup picking up a respiratory issue, Vet Linda was great, drawing blood from a squigly, wormy puppy with ease. Luckily the infection wasn't serious and a prescription of antibiotics sorted it out. Barrier were great sorting out payment directly through my insurer, making everything so easy.

My two boys have been really well looked after at the clinic. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you walk through the door with receptionists, practice manager and veterinary nurses/assistants making you feel at ease. I know when the boys are taken in for treatment that they are well looked after and actually shown love and affection for the duration of their stay. I have enjoyed the follow up of care by the vet and the time taken to explain all the treatment, issues, side affects and benefits of treatment. The vets have a lovely bed side manner with the boys and me and everyone has been very patient with my calls and bringing them in sometimes daily when they were at their worst health. The care, time and conversation I received I really appreciated, in a difficult time it helped to be around others who understood. Thank you for all the support you have provided me and the boys (Cats).
