c. T.When I first contacted Greenway last year, Frank had had quite a year and was a bit poorly and depressed. He is a senior cat with a number of health issues, including: FIV, Renal Insufficiency, IBS and generally suffers a bit with old age/stiffness.
I had been researching the benefits of acupuncture on animals and started looking for someone who might be able to provide this service locally. I came across their website which suggested home visits may be an option, this is ideal as frequent visits to the vet can make him anxious.
Although fully aware that acupuncture is not a miracle cure, I was hoping that it would improve life for him a little and was desperate to give it a go.
To my relief, Greenway agreed to treat Frank at home.
Since last year, the acupuncture seems to have made a real difference to Frank's general wellbeing. I can say that after his sessions with Alastair, his mobility is much improved and he generally seems a bit perkier/happier in himself.
Alastair is a brilliant vet and I'm very grateful for his care, would highly recommend! : )
A. B.Our beloved German Shepherd Daisy started to have a lot of trouble with her back legs due to Degenerative myelopathy (DM)
When we found Greenway Veterinary Acupuncture and Claire came to treat Daisy, we were so happy and more importantly so was Daisy. Daisy has really benefitted so much from her Acupuncture treatment, and we are so very grateful. It enhanced her quality of life and her longevity by helping her to enjoy life much more. Daisy became so much more supple, able to get up easier, and enjoyed her walks even more. She also had hardly any Epilepsy fits after starting her Acupuncture.
We both want to Thank Claire at Greenway Veterinary Acupuncture sooooo much for her visits with Daisy. Daisy also loved Claire and the gentle way she treated her, she did not mind the needles at all.

A. F.Alistair has been treating our elderly, arthritic labradoodle for the last 8 months. The results are noticeable and Alistair’s approach is that he would not recommend continuing if there were no positive benefits. Our dog lies still (mostly!) during the sessions and the needles do not seem to bother him.Throughout the lockdown, the home visits have been managed professionally and safely, and Alistair is happy to answer any non acupuncture queries which is great. I would be happy to recommend Greenway to others as acupuncture has certainly been of benefit to our dog. The cost is partially covered by our pet insurance so always worth checking this.
k. h.Greenway acupuncture has changed the lives of my two elderly persians. We had tried acupuncture at the vets office unsuccessfully, but with a disabled persian and one with arthritis and hip dysplasia i knew it would help so wanted to try again.
I was recommended Alistair by my GP vet (who also performs acupuncture). He is incredibly gentle with my girls, and his GP vet knowledge is very helpful at highlighting other things which maybe wrong.
If you are unsure, give it a go. Its one of the best decisions I've made and i do not know what id do without him! Thanks for all the support, and care for my girls.
L. E.Claire treated our arthritic Spinone who absolutely loved her acupuncture sessions. Claire has a very calming, empathetic presence. It was a huge privilege to be able to have the treatment at home. Claire also connected us with a physiotherapist who was able to come and treat her at home. It was also Claire who alerted us to the start of her rapid deterioration (for reasons unrelated to her arthritis). I would highly recommend Greenway.
D. S.Alastair has been great for my greyhound with arthritis and back issues. There is far more flexibility in his movement and he can get up without pain which is lovely to see.
S. T.Alastair is a great vet. The animals respond well to him, but he is equally at home with human contact. The fact that he is willing to see the dogs in their own home makes for a stress-free consultation. The acupuncture is making a difference to our dog's mobility and he explains how it is happening. Would heartily recommend.
c.Our vet recommended Alistair at Greenway Veterinary Acupuncture as our dog had a bad back due to a herniated disc. We saw Alistair a few times and from his second visit already, our dog showed signs of improvement and relief, for example his tail was always low and the bottom of his back very arched and these two things started to get better. We've now had 4 visits with Alistair and our dog has seriously improved. I would definitely recommend Greenway Veterinary Acupuncture.
J. S.Claire has been visiting our elderly dog, Darcie, since October 2019 and we are so incredibly happy that we found her! Darcie rescued from Romania at 12 years old and was in a terrible way. Our vet just kept increasing the medication until they couldn’t increase the dose anymore and suggested that it was time to put her to sleep. We didn’t accept that and reached out to Claire for help (through a recommendation from a friend). After her first session, you could see a huge difference in Darcie. It was like so much pain had just been lifted. Darcie is now entirely off of all meds, having been on 12 tablets per day, and has never been better. Claire is reliable, professional and so lovely. She has the most calming aura and we all look forward to her coming every 3 weeks! Greenway Veterinary Acupuncture literally saved our girl’s life, and we cannot recommend them highly enough!
