Good service and they very caring handling my dog Bella for her treatment. Being a big dog she can can be handful but they were worth more than able to to rise to the challenge!

All staff very professional and knowledgeable making every communication I have had very reassuring. Cat vaccines are in short supply but when I contacted Paxton's to enquire Hannah was absolutely lovely and told me they were prioritising kittens, so I was able to make an appointment for Marley's initial checks and vaccine. Everyone I have spoken with has been warm and welcoming and I am so glad that Vets at home were unable to offer an appointment, as my initial contact with them was quite cold and sterile, a far cry from the warmth I feel at Paxton's. Marley and I look forward to many happy years with you. Thanks for a great service.

The best vets we've ever had, it's so refreshing and reassuring to find somewhere that is honest, upfront and most importantly takes the time to get to know our dogs and remember them and their history on return visits.

Unfortunately we had a couple of serious health issues when our dog was very young. Paxtons were very caring and kept us informed all the way. Always very helpful and happy with the service given. Our dog Magnus is always happy to visit them as they always give him such a warm welcome.

What an amazing practice. Everyone I have spoken to and seen have been kind, patient, reassuring and responsive to concerns I had for my two very new kittens. After three visits within a week (and they bothered to follow up with me after an emergency visit to find out how the kittens were), I am filled with confidence in the practice and can see fantastic progress with my kittens.

I love Anna and Pru! They go above and beyond with my two rabbits and myself. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to rabbits, which is not easy to find and I am grateful for the time they spend with us ensuring they are in good health. Special thanks to you both and the whole Paxton team who put up with my emails :D

I’ve actually been meaning to write this for ages, but you know, puppies are demanding! I can’t recommend this place enough, the entire team have individually proved themselves as an essential part of my puppies life within such a short space of time. The vets Pru & Anna from the very first appointment went above and beyond to make sure my puppy was happy and healthy, and also reassured me about everything from training to behaviours, way beyond what they needed to do as vets. Then the icing on the already bloody good cake came when the assistant came out to give the puppy back, giving me her own advice about training to help separation anxiety, and after a short meet with Henry had worked out exactly what treats he responds really well to, and even gave me the treat in question to try her techniques at home. It’s difficult taking a puppy into your life for the first time, and these guys really put my mind at ease and I actually look forward to the next appointment, as I’m sure my puppy will too. If you’re choosing a vets practise and are knit-picking all the prices etc, put all that aside and realise that you might save a couple of quid down the road, but what this practise give is priceless.

Amazing staff and customer service. It's not only that they care so much for domestic animals, but what really amazed me when I saw how much love and care they gave trying to help this poor hedgehog who had both his back legs badly injured. Without the Xray it would not be possible to see that and to identify the damage. Not every vet practice or doctor will take this job to examine the wildlife animal. It did matters a lot that we care about these vulnerable and dying out animals too and it is so touching to see that this veterinary clinic is doing all what they can to help any kind of creature, regardless of their "status" in nature !

We have used Paxton Vets for many years and can highly recommend them. As a cat sitting business we have had to make emergency visits to the vet at very short notice, Paxton's have always managed to accommodate us and have fully explained the treatments advised for the cat, so we can then update the owner. They are also happy to inform and explain to the cat's owner by phone, keeping them up to date. We rate them so highly that we wouldn't think of taking our own personal cats anywhere else. Recently started going to Paxton's after we moved to the area and got a recommendation from another cat owner. Really happy so far - first visit was a proper check up and booster, the next time round unfortunately our cat was pretty sick. To cut a long story short the vet couldn't have done more, and kept us up to date all the time with phone calls as blood tests came back etc. (Touch wood) everything is all back to good now, and I'm massively appreciative. Will definitely be recommending based on experience so far.

It's a vets, not cheap, but then pets aren't. Booked in for whole vaxx, and no problems. Hopefully only need to see you once a year😁

This is a reasonably friendly practice. Small but tidy. Vet surgeons relatively junior but excellent (seems to change every 18m or so). Nursing staff v caring. Reception staff bit hit N miss (depending on which one). Sells hills vet food. One thing I would say is that they are not very understanding with respect to appointments and once or twice I have managed to miss my pets vaccinations as they told me in the last minute.

5 or so years ago, I used this vet clinic and did not like the experience. I have a cat and the vet didn't even seem to like cats! I decided not to return and I went back to my old vet clinic in Herne Hill. Then recently my cat got sick and went back to Paxton vet clinic for convenience (nearest to my home). It was a TOTALLY different experience. The appointment was on time, the vet was so sweet with my cat, reassuring her and gently coaxing her to turn this way and that. My cat seemed as at ease as she could be. Plus the vet was not overly pushy with selling products, which has been my experience in the past. All good. Would recommend it!

Our cat has recently been very unfortunate, dislocating his toe and then subsequently taking all the skin off his leg. The vets were absolutely fantastic. They even phoned up the morning after he came home from his op to see how he was doing. I would totally recommend and feel fortunate to have such good vets on our doorstep

It's a great vet's but it's the front of house staff that make it. They are professional caring and very understanding. It says a lot when staff have been in the same place for a long time Jason ( front of house is brilliant) so to the other lady. I was very happy with the service at Paxtons Clifton Road. The vet ,Helen, was very good with my dog, and I was pleased he only needed one injection to help his paw recover from a little cut which is getting better now.

First of all they love animals and they know how to talk to them. Nobody is scared or above that traumatized as it sometimes happens after seeing a vet. They help you here and now.
