The 2 vets we've seen for our puppy check ups have been brilliant, really caring and patient. They don't rush you and they have clear affection for the animals. Really impressed with the whole experience. The receptionists are really friendly too unlike others I've experienced in different veterinary practices.

I cannot rate The Hackney Vet highly enough. We ventured here when our truly amazing vet Vanessa moved to this practice, and have been coming here now for a few years. Vanessa is incredibly kind, thoughtful, empathic, diligent and always goes above and beyond! The whole team always make us feel very looked after, taking the time to check out anything that we may need. We have always felt in very safe hands! Thank you all for doing what is undoubtedly an incredibly tough job, it is very much appreciated!

Great vet, been coming here for 3 years. Told us half way through our pet export process they couldn’t help us anymore as they’re too busy. Appreciate they’re wanting now to tend to customers who will stay in the country, but disappointed given how loyal we’ve been and the amazing care to date.

We have two cats and are so relieved and happy to have such a good vet. Although Covid restrictions don’t allow us to enter the clinic, both our cats seem to have a very decent time and are surprisingly relaxed about visiting the vet. Neutering was flawless and everyone working there has always been very kind and helpful. Especially Vanessa took wonderful care of one of our cats and we are very grateful to her.

I used to use it for a number of years, but switched to another provider simply because there is no system in place to do online bookings / appointments. A little, perhaps prickly point, I know, but if you're getting email reminders to book, you cannot simply do it via email but have to ring in. You're categorically told this is not an option, with my emails ignored previously when I asked for a booking at X date until my absence of appointments spurred action on behalf of reception staff. Seems a strange anachronism in today's times. So, I simply moved to another local Vet's with a good reputation and a online appointment system. Hopefully will return one day.

Always super helpful and friendly. I just popped by to grab some flea tablets for Cat and there was a large queue outside (Covid rules, nobody inside) and the poor vet was struggling with a very nervous dog that did not want to go inside LOL. Managed to get the tablets and paid on the doorstep and was on my merry way within a few minutes ☺️

The Hackney Vet is one of our dog's favourite places in London. She loves Vanessa so much - to the point that if we mention her name she gets so excited and thinks we're going to the vet. Took our 10 week old Yorkipoo for his second vaccination today and couldn’t be happier with the service. The vet was totally Covid safe, they really took care of our little pup and offered great advice. Would highly recommend.

We have been with Hackney Vet for around 2 years, both of my cats go to this vet - they are highly trustworthy. Today we got our newest cat neutered - she is a sphynx cat and staff looked after her so well, can't thank you guys enough. Brilliant vets couldn't of asked for a better response in helping me register my 10 week old kitten. He was having digestive issues and diarrhoea.. Was seen quickly and given medication and food to help settle his stomach deflead at the same time. And just over 24h later he's already improved so much. Genuinely can't fault this place will definitely be my go to vets in future.

Really wonderful practice! Honest friendly and helpful. My cat had to have stitches on a cut on his tail and they did a really good job. A week later and his tail is almost totally healed. They helped with the insurance claim and nothing was too much trouble. I will continue to take both my cats here!

I`ve been taking my very beloved old Cat to this practise since it opened - they definitely extended her life in a very positive way, and with medication she went on to live happily to 18 - with her kidney disease and arthritis but happy disposition. Sadly the final day came and I put all my trust into Jason who made the end bearable. If I ever have another pet there is nowhere else I`d rather take my cat or dog. I`m sad to see there are any negative reviews - the reception staff and most of the Vets are absolutely lovely.

I take my cat Shimmer there she is quite a handful at the vets as she get's nervous around new people (she hides under her blanket and runs around the examination room) but still the vets are so lovely and caring towards her, despite her bad behavior. It is a bit pricey but their a very good (and its worth the money). I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much

He was very kind and patient and took his time to explain everything we needed to know, we didn't feel rushed into making a decision. He was brilliant as explaining how the treatment works and the costs involved which we felt were reasonable. I really like the vets here & our dog loves them. But at the moment they are charging £43 for a 5 minute phone consultation. I understand the need for covid-19 restrictions, however the amount for a 5 minute chat seems ridiculous, especially as everyone is struggling for cash after lockdown.

Geoff has been looking after our dogs for some time now and we've always been delighted with his care. We love The Hackney Vet and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Hackney Vets have always been great. My cat is terrified of the vets but they are really nice and helped put him at ease. Their prices are reasonable and the service really good. We buy our cat biscuits there too. I have recently moved out of London and I am sad that I won't have Hackney Vets nearby for my cat any more!

After my indie collapsed in the garden suffering what we now know as a stroke, we took her to hackney vet. We returned the next day at 9 instead of our appointment at 4 which they so kindly squeezed us in for to lay our precious girl to sleep. The vets were nothing but compassionate and understanding and let us stay with indie for a good while. Our vet even helped us take a paint paw print of our little baby. If I could give 10 stars I would. What a lovely vet this is

The Hackney Vet is a great local vet that you can take your pet to for regular check ups, vaccinations (if you've only just gotten your pet), buy pet food and any operations that are needed for your pet (such as castration). The team are really friendly and professional, with expertise, they won't let you down. You walk in to the reception area where you can take a seat, purchase pet food and toys and weigh your pet if you want. Inside, there is a small room where the veterinarian can check your pet's health and apply any medication required. You can book an appointment by calling them on their phone number or online. It's one of the nicest vets I've ever seen. I would definitely recommend it to fellow pet owners.

Have only been once to the Hackney Vet once, to get two of my dogs innoculated against kennel cough as they were going into kennels. First of all I was very surprised that one of them walked straight in, rather than having to be dragged in as usual! The receptionist was very welcoming, and both dogs were very relaxed. Again, Popeye, the dog who is normally nervous, followed the vet into the surgery and submitted fairly happily to the spray, and wasn't at all afraid of him. I don't know if they use some of those calming products, but I was impressed!

Were very considerate re my concerns about potential side-effects - or reactions - which any sedation might have had on my wee auld little dog. The treatment we received was excellent, but, more importantly, they were there for us when we were in crisis providing a service that went the extra mile - what more can you ask of your local vet? I can't recommend The Hackney Vet enough especially the vet Jason Stivano who has always been kind and considerate when taking care of my 8 year old cat George. We first met him at abbeyVET in Stamford Hill when George had a recurrent bladder problem and are delighted he is still in the area in his own new practice so we can continue to take George to him. He always takes the time to explain everything clearly and really cares about the welfare of the his patients. The nurses are friendly and helpful and the new facilities he has shown me are modern and impressive. This independent veterinary practice is a great addition to Hackney.

We have known Geoff Platt from a previous vetinary practice in Hackney. Likewise Rachael Leech. For many years they expertly and professionally looked after at least three of our dogs. Today was a very sad one for us, it was the end of Teddy's life. We can only say that they made the experience a little easier for us by their kind and considerate expertise. On a lighter note, the surgery is superb, a lovely building light and airy and very smart. Parking is easy. We wish the practice all success for the future, a real gem in the centre of Hackney .
