The Village Vet in St Johns Wood is the best veterinary practice I have been to in my 20+ years as a pet owner. Dr. Kelly Moore has been beyond amazing for the now multiple emergencies I have had with my wire fox terrier that has caused me to visit her practice. Alex Schilder is incredibly kind and helpful. I feel safe knowing that when I bring my dog there that he is getting the best veterinary care in London.

Hampstead & St Johns Wood Village Vet I firstly visited Hampstead branch as an emergency on Sunday as my cat wasn’t eating and was quite obviously very unwell. We saw Vet Sheldon Bunting and he was so kind and caring and patient. He gave her meds unsure of her actual prognosis. He later called me at home and as she was not improving he offered for us to go back that evening. We chose to keep our beautiful cat at home that evening. The next day we went to our local branch in St Johns Wood as she was extremely ill. Vet Kelly was kind, understanding and gentle as our beloved cat made her final journey. We are beside ourselves with grief but are grateful for being treated with such respect and kindness.

The vet was extremely kind and caring. Dr. Kelly took the time to explain everything that was going on with my dog in detail and walked me through the different approaches we could take. I truly feel that she cares about what is best for my little guy while also being able to connect with me as a pet parent.

I haven't even registered my feline yet (the first appointment would have been in another 4 days) and as I called the vet they were able to see her later the same day! I know that most vets has emergency appointments reserved but they could easily tell me to go to the hospital instead. When we got to the Vet they instantly put her cage inside a book shelf, covered the cage with a light blanket and sprayed it with a calming spray. They didn't treat her until it was already 10 minutes after so she will feel more comfortable. The whole process was very quick and my feline was very calm also afterwards. I'm very happy with this experience. It is a bit pricy though so charge it back to the insurance company

We have a puppy called Rudy who has been to this practise numerous times. Whenever Rudy has had the occasional funny tummy or been unwell I call the vet to ask if I should bring him in. Kelly always takes the time to call me back and really get to the bottom of it before advising me on what to do and reassures my that i'm not a crazy dog mum. Rudy was neutered at this practise and they were so great throughout the whole process. When I dropped him off Alex took the time to reassure Rudy which was so important as he can get quite nervous. There aftercare was also fantastic including when Rudy's wound got infected and they called in between our visits to check he was ok. I cannot recommend the team at Village Vet SJW enough. I wholeheartedly trust them to do the best for my dog.

All the staff are wonderful. They took amazing care of my cat Boris who had a skin condition that the vets hadn't seen before. Francesca was amazing. She explained everything in great detail and made me feel very comfortable and at ease with what was happening. I believe they went above and beyond anything I would have expected and the final cost was extremely fair. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this vet to anyone.

Thank goodness for the Village Vet in Boundary Road! I am so thankful they are there. We have an adorable, very curious Bedlington Puppy who has been looked after by this warm and delightful at the same time as very professional vetinary practice since he came to live with us three months ago. About two months ago our little pup managed to get his head stuck in our staircase railings. We were at our wits end trying to work out how to free him. Pretty quickly I telephoned the Village Vet to ask for help. Without a moment’s hesitation they sent a very calm and knowledgeable nurse who was in telephone contact with the Vet, over to our house and very calmly consulting with the vet when she needed to, together with our handyman as well, she gently but professionally released him. It could have been disastrous but thanks to their professionalism and presence of mind, our little puppy was gently freed and has never looked back. Being a slightly anxious new puppy owner I have probably telephoned them more than necessary but no matter who has answered the phone, I have always been impressed and grateful at the care, patience and professional advice they have given me. Everyone in the practice has a wonderful, welcoming and very sympathetic attitude which really helps their clients/patients to relax and actually enjoy being there. When we are on a walk our little pup often drags me to their door and sits firmly down outside 110, in the hope that he can go in to see them again. . You can’t get better than that! I would definitely recommend this practice wholeheartedly.

I was referred to St John’s Wood Village Vet when my dog was in need of a specialist assessment for a heart condition and there isn’t enough praise I could offer the team! Mojo (my dog) was so well taken care of by Francesca, Tessa, Tom and Jade who all went out of their way to put him (and me) at ease. They were consummate professionals, dealing with everything in sensitive, kind and accommodating manner. There’s a really strong sense of community with this vet that I haven’t seen before (and my dog is ten years old so we’ve seen plenty of vets) which is evident from every client that comes through the door. A credit to the veterinary practice and I’m delighted to have found them!

I bring in today a little bird that I found in the street, probably with same physical problem, and they took it and start looking after him without asking me money. I was doubtful initially because I thought they would leave me out of the clinic but at the end they were very kind with me and helpful. Very nice people, very nice doctor!! God bless you!!

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Village Vet and the service they deliver. They are clearly extremely good at what they do medically and technically, but the care they show the animals – and their owners – goes way above and beyond the call of duty. Our cat, Poppy, has recently returned home after several multiple-day stays at the St John’s Wood practice due to an eye condition. Whilst there, she was cared for and clearly loved by the whole team, who stayed in constant communication with us about her progress. This was a massive comfort to us and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Francesca, Chris, Charlotte, Julie and the team. Last year, our beloved cat Harry died; Francesca’s kindness and compassion during this time, as well as her skill in ensuring Harry had a painless death, will always stay with us. The reception staff are always very helpful and friendly and Francesca and the rest of the vetinary team are amazing. It's great also to have the 24 hour hospital nearby. This really is a great practice!

Perfect little vets, staff are the most kind and caring souls with much love for the animals they treat. I took in my rabbit for a spay and she was treated like a princess. They told me how she was and when they finished. They always give me clear instructions whether its with medications or just daily advice. Also they keep to their appointments.

I would like to say how thankful I am to these vets. I have a 2 year old French Bulldog. He was terribly ill and other vets could not help him. Thanks to the great care of these specialists my Spike is now in perfect contrition.

I took my cat Minnie here after my neighbours’ recommendation. Francesca saw her, and Minnie curled up on the examining table quite at home! I won’t take her anywhere else now, and can thoroughly recommend Francesca and the St.John’s Wood branch.

We have attended the vet's practice in SJW on Boundary Road for nine years, ever since our dog was a puppy. We have always been pleased with the help they have given us. But the last 6 months have been exemplary! Our dog, Pretzel, is an English Springer Spaniel who loves to run and jump. That take its toll on joints and he had his left knee re-built 2 years ago. About 6 months ago, it was looking like it was time to do the other one. Francesca worked with us and just as we were getting ready to have the surgery, we discovered a cough. Xrays showed a mass in one of Pretzel's lungs. Kaye, at the practice in Hampstead, found a slot for him and he had more xrays and a CT scan - and we finally determined that he had aspirated a piece his food. Over time, that cough has abated and we then had his knee rebuild. And more success! Thank you to Jonas, the brilliant surgeon who did the knee surgery, thank you to the veterinary nurses who were so kind and patient with a dog who has never really been in a kennel before and who 'talked' all day and night to them, and thank you again to Francesca and the team on Boundary Road who have worked with us to get the best treatment for a very cherished member of our family. We're looking forward to his being able to run (no jumping!) again in a few months. Thank you so much, Village Vet. We appreciate all that you have done for Pretzel!

Our beloved dog Pippi went to the vet last Wednesday suffering from a bad stomach, wheezy breathing and loss of appetite. Francesca gave her an initial assessment and confirmed she would need to stay for scans and blood tests. Unfortunately it turned out that had a tumour on her heart and nothing could be done to save her. Pippi was central to our family life for nearly nine years, she saw us through good times and bad with endless enthusiasm and generous affection. I needed to feel that she was cared for with professionalism, warmth and kindness on her last day, when she was sick and confused. I cannot praise highly enough the way Francesca and the team looked after both us and our dog through this sad time. Francesca communicated with me in a clear, calm way. She explained medical and financial matters in simple, straightforward language so I understood all our options. She gave clear, thoughtful advice. After further investigations, having established there was no hope, the team ensured we were able to bring Pippi home to have her final evening with our children. The children were able to say goodbye, and tell Pippi how much she meant to us. My husband and I took Pippi to the Belsize Park practice later in the evening when all was quiet to have our final moments with her, and she passed away peacefully. I am extremely grateful to both Francesca and Helen who ensured our much loved Hungarian hound ended her life without anxiety or suffering. Their expertise, professionalism and care were top class.

Fantastically friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. So glad to have found somewhere so positive for my pet care. I know I leave him in good hands. :)
