S. T.I had a problem with my mature dog I phoned and got an appointment the same day. I belong to the pet plan which I believe is worth the money, the vet I saw examined my dog thoroughly and gently taking on board all the symptoms I had told him. He then advised me of the recommended treatment which my dog would need and the cost but there was no pressure and has left the treatment for me to decide, with no prejudice.

C. A.I cannot rate this practice highly enough. My boy became poorly over the weekend but they saw him extremely quickly. Both Amys were just Amyzing, the way they treated Drex was so caring and gentle and I couldn't have asked for a better Vet.

K. J.The receptionist was extremely welcoming and the vet introduced me to the vets for pets treatment plan which was very welcome as my cat had become resistant to the flea treatment I had previously been on from the shop.

M. H.I registered both my cats here when we moved from Hemel Hempstead about 5 weeks ago, transferred from the Vets4Pets there. Had an appointment for one of them with Amy, and the vet was nice, took care of my pet well enough.
Sadly yesterday I got a call from another local vet that my other cat had been taken in, they suspected he’d been hit by a car. They didn’t have the facilities there to X-ray him so they asked if I wanted to transfer him to their other branch or contact my own vet. I called Vets4Pets, and after explaining that my cat had been hit by a car and needed X-rays the receptionist asked “is it an emergency”! Um, Yes! I was then told that they wouldn’t be able to see him the same day, then put on hold, then told I shouldn’t move him, even though I’d explained that he needed to be moved because where he was couldn’t do X-rays. They then reluctantly said they’d see him for £72.00. Obviously fees aren’t the issue as insurance will cover it, but the difficulty getting him seen in an emergency put me off.
I decided he would be better off transferring him to the other practice of the vet he was taken to.
Later the new practice requested his medical history, I called V4P and requested this and they emailed me my other cat’s patient history. I called again requesting the correct history and was emailed a blank document. I called again and was told they didn’t have any history as they hadn’t been sent any from the Hemel branch. I called the Hemel branch and was emailed history for both pets. Several hours later Bletchey branch emailed me the full history for the correct pet, so they in fact did have it.
The vet Amy seems nice enough, I’ve seen her only once. The receptionists, I think, could benefit from a bit more training. Yesterday was a difficult day, made worse by trying to negotiate clerical errors and barriers to booking.
S. T.Normally great and can't fault them but some prices for certain things are astronomical! For a vet that's meant to be "affordable", not all services they offer are.

G. K.Before I get into all the positives (there are plenty of those) I would like to share one fact about this vet surgery that I have recently discovered. While the cost of their consultations and treatments is fair their margins on medications they prescribe are outrageous! We're talking 400-500% more expensive than for exactly the same drugs compared to online vet pharmacies.
In my last visit they prescribed 3 medications for a minor skin infection and charged me a small fortune for them. I got curious, came home and compared the prices on a like-for-like basis (same brand, same quantity). Here is the difference: Drug 1 - Their price £39.91, retail price £9.80; Drug 2 - their price £15.69, retail price £3.60, Drug 3 - their price £14.12, retail price £5.7. Of course, they would buy these drugs at a cost much lower than the retail price, so their markup is astronomical. And I understand there are storage costs involved, stock replenishment costs, rent, throwing away unsold drugs that have expired, etc. But this still feels like a rip off even all things considered.
Because of the aforementioned fact next time for minor issues that don't require urgent medication I will consider just getting a prescription from them (costs £10) and buying the medication online with a next day delivery especially for expensive items. Or I could even decide to use an online vet for consultations / prescriptions and only visit them when really necessary. Most insurance policies have high excess fees (mine £120) so unless the treatment cost exceed this amount your clients pay out of their own pockets and for most the cost matters.
On a positive side their service is really good. The staff are always friendly and polite. You always get a feeling that they care about your dog. I love that they have an app that you can use to book an appointment. I also like their thorough record keeping and their computer system appears to be very slick.

Always feel reassured that our pets are being looked well. Receptionist staff also deserve a special mention for dedication and friendliness.

P. P.Appointment at short notice due to sudden illness of my dog Barney. As always, we were both shown kindness and compassion, Barney received the care and treatment he needed. Amy explained all options available and made sure that we had a plan B if things deteriorated during the Christmas period. Nurse was lovely, reception staff also.
Despite Barney being blind he is always happy to visit and that really puts my mind at rest. Thank you 🥰

P.I have been coming to vets4pets bletchley for approx the last 5 years, and I have always found the receptionists and vet/nursing staff to be absolutely fantastic! they are all so polite and if I have any questions, it is no problem to explain things. I personally have always found making an appointment very easy too.
i would recommend personally their petplan! I do agree with a couple of others comments regarding the medication pricing being high, and if you have the time would ask if they can write you a prescription and order elsewhere.
S. L.My Nan and I took her dog here when he became very poorly, the staff were lovely and very understanding. They were quick and efficient in trying to treat him, unfortunately he became to poorly for treatment to help so the decision was taken to let him go peacefully. We took him home and came back a few days later, I stayed with him for the procedure and they were fantastic. Explained everything and what would happen, he fell asleep peacefully and they let me stay for a while to say goodbye. A few days after they called to check on my Nan to make sure she was doing well which in itself was such a lovely gesture. Couldn't of faulted a single thing

Even at the hardest time, when we had to make the toughest decision to say goodbye to our faithful friend due to a terminal illness, Bruno, our vet was sympathetic and kind. Its obvious this isn't just a job for him but something he cares about greatly. When we get adopted by another dog, we'll be taking it there for treatment and care.

Amy and the rest of the team are very efficient and helpful, and are in my opinion the best vet practice in Milton Keynes.

k. h.I took my rabbit to be neutered at vets4pets in Bletchley. You read many things online in regards to rabbits and neutering, many including horror stories and that it can be high risk. I felt totally at ease bringing my rabbit to vets4pets for his neutering, the procedure was explained in detail and I felt confident with the staff I spoke too, both over the phone and in person. After his neutering I was given a personalised care sheet explaining aftercare and next steps to take with my rabbit which I really appreciated as they took the time to make it personalised for me.
I couldn’t rate vets4pets in Bletchley more highly, providing amazing care for my rabbit and great customer service from the reception staff to the vets.

F.Checked over my mums beloved dog when she managed to eat a plastic bottle cap whilst I took her for a walk, the vet saw her literally on arrival which was great especially during the COVID19 epidemic. Only two stars down because of the price £108 - I didn’t question it at the time as I’ve never needed to use a vet before but I have since been told she had a previous emergency appointment at another V4P and they charged £30 including a prescription so can’t help think my lack of knowledge regarding how vets work was taken advantage of when I was panicking about the little pup.

Was given a straightforward plan of action. So refreshing to have a vet who is so intelligent and pursues excellence in her field, yet still collaborates with humans has gentle touch with patients in her charge. A perfect balance of analysis and empathy.

I took Pantufa, my chinchilla, and Laura couldn't see anything wrong with him, however Pantufa didn't feel better for quite a while and when I took him back Laura was able to provide the best care she could ASAP, as we found out the problem. I was not expecting all the care and attention she had, she showed lots of respect to me and to Pantufa who was in a lot of pain. Thank you for being so professional and show that you really care about my little one.

K. E.I took my cats here for their spade and neuturing, when i got my cat back his whole legs and belly were all shaved and they are not suppose to do that. He now has an obsessive licking disorder where he had no fur :(. The other two cats were okay though.
They also cancel appointments on you and reception give you faulse information over the phone and can be a bit snobby (Danielle).
My cats still have to go back for their jabs and my male cat well now he is on steroid injections because of the vets shaving his fur off...

T. D.I was advised to bring Story in as an emergency. I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving. The vet throughly examined Story and explained the treatment plan. We were in and out within 15 minutes. The vet was friendly and put me at ease.
