Staff very friendly and helpful reguarding information about a dog we have applied to adopt boy's enjoyed seeing him again today

Only briefly entered the cat and dog shelter as it was closed to the public due to the adverse weather on Friday the 26th of November, we went to give a cash donation from my sister's funeral. The lady that was in the reception was pleasant and very appreciative of the donation. Glad the money can help the rescue centre.

I had to give up my cats on Friday which was the hardest for Me todo it broke me heart .the staff were really great and my made the process as easy as possible you couldn't fault them .I know my cats are in the best place and getting well looked after.

I love this shop. Its a little treasure trove with the loveliest staff. Dog friendly and you can pick up some great pet care items here.

Great place yes there is a huge need for sponsorship , But please remember if you have old Blankets and towels ( please wash them before you drop them off) please think about supporting .

We got a gorgeous black and white staff from here 2 years ago. He is the best dog I've ever had and I have a few. The staff were great and friendly dogs all well trained and looked after. I have always got my dogs from shelters. They are the best. He was called Sam but now called storm

Rehomed a cat, great communication. Fabulous experience. Totally safe covid environment. Our cat has settled in lovely and really appreciate the help from Ieva. We've always got our pets from here and wouldn't hesitate to again... great job as always x

Due to Covid19 rules, you are not allowed in in the usual way. Limited numbers and visiting times apply. We couldn't get in, not knowing they also restricted hours and days for opening. Call before you Go, planning means easier access and less disappointment. Shame really, as these animals are all in need.

Simple small shelter. Parking requires paying on the large road but if you only going to drop something off it shouldn't be an issue. It's 50p per hour parking. They have loads of animals.

Brilliant guidance and there is always somebody to explain and direct you to the right dog. Love what they do for abandoned animals. Rescues are the best.

Went with a friend to collect lost dog the staff we really friendly and made sure the doggy went to right owner. The staff have a hard job but thankfully they are there to look after our lost dogs and cats. Thanks guys

Amazing staff who love and look after theses dogs, people saying they weren’t allowed to visit dogs are not seeing the bigger picture or understanding that some of the dogs are scared and need to feel secure first before being introduced people or given a home, if you are here to adopt then isn’t the welfare of the dogs a priority? Amazed to read some of these comments it is not like longbenton is an hours drive away! Or that they are trying to home the dogs with the best partnership of owners? I love this place and adore my dog Kenny, if you have a problem, maybe a thought, talk to a staff at the center instead of giving bad review to the kind amazing people who look after these animals. Keep up the excellent work and I am blessed to have Kenny in my life xx

My dog had escaped and some 1 found him toke him to vets who then handed him over to this place and they looked after great and i was so greatly there are places like this around

It's no longer open to the public. It does look after dogs. who are not yet suitable for re homing as far as I understand. Only Longbenton cat and dog shelter is where you're able to visit the animals

A fantastic organisation. We adopted our lovely cat from there, and they found a new home for my mum's cat when she couldn't look after him any more. Staff are brill!

Me and my family would like to say how lovely and helpful and how we were put at ease that are dog bailey was going to well looked after till he is rehomed, it has been so hard for the family to let him go but circumstances changed and we did what was right for bailey, not for us, it broke are harts but he is being well looked after and would like to say a big thank you to the full team for making this a very hard family decision alot easer transaction for us and bailey, please give extra cuddles and hugs as that's his best past time , thanks again.
