As a family we were totally devastated by the loss of our gorgeous gerbil Cookie, it was very sudden and unexpected. A small sized pet with a huge personality that was something positive to help us through the past couple of years; we felt we needed to do something special to always keep her with us. I have been so impressed with the care given at every step of the way. We weren’t made to feel like our pet was too unusual or too small to go through this process. I cannot thank the team enough, especially David, who I can tell goes above and beyond to ensure everything is so dignified and personal.

My baby girl matrix gave us 15 years off love. and we had to let her go to sleep on the 4th of may. we was told on the Friday .so I gave my baby girl one last truly amazing weekend for this. but knowing that when my mums dog Sally passed away gedling pet crematorium was Truly amazing . Just had to say goodbye to our beloved Poppy and was recommended a cremation place from the vets. Poppy wouldn't have been collected until a week later and the nearest place to Grantham would be Cambridge. Luckily I did some research and found this fantastic place. Last week we said goodbye to our 16 year old blind cat Tipsy and it broke our hearts. I called Gedling Pet Cremation Services on the morning we were having to say goodbye and was greeted by David on the telephone. How very grateful I was he picked up the phone that morning. He was warm and friendly, answered all my questions, never rushed me, understood exactly how I felt and put to rest all my fears. I explained the time we were going to say goodbye and he said he would collect our baby that afternoon and take her back for an individual cremation the next morning and get her back to us that afternoon. We chose a small wooden casket with an engraved plaque and also had her paw print taken as my husband plans to have it tattooed. The pricing was clear and not expensive for the service provided. I must say every staff member I have spoken to has been amazing and so caring and understanding. Thank you for giving Tipsy the love, care and respect she deserved and us everything we needed to be confident in your handling of her cremation. You brought our baby girl back home where she belongs with a fantastic, faultless, swift, caring, personal service and a hand written card to which we are so very grateful. We deliberated over using this council run facility for our lovely Princess Rosie. However, they were very sympathetic allowing us time in the pleasant reflection room to shed a tear and say our final good bye. The little cafe at the side of the duck pond at the next door park was a lovely place to retreat to for further reflection over a cuppa. 2 days later we collected Rosie's ashes which were nicely presented in a pretty scatter tube. Altogether a pleasant experience at an emotional time. The only thing to point out is to make sure you drive into the entrance with the big sign saying Jubilee House and not the other more industrial side. Thanks to David and Katie for their lovely kindness.

I've never used a service like this before but I lost my cat who meant the world to me and wanted something to remember him. The staff were very kind and understanding and there was a remembrance room to say goodbye, I had the ashes placed in a lovely scatter tube to put the ashes in my cat's special spot in the garden, when I collected them the staff gave me a card with a lovely message in and some prints of his paws. On Wednesday 6th April 2022 we lost our beloved cat, Tab, after a short illness. We were devastated. We called Gedling Pet Cremation Service and Dave was with us a few hours after Tab had been put to sleep. What a marvelous, understanding man and such supportive staff back at the office. Then on Sunday 10th we also lost another of our cats totally unexpectedly - Earl - or 'Little Man', as we used to call him after the name one of the grandkids gave him when he was a kitten. We called for the 2nd time in 5 days and left a message and Katie was in touch straight away the next morning kind and supportive as ever and the lovely Dave was with us soon after. Local councils get a bad press these days but Gedling have something they can be truly proud of in their pet cremation service, made what it is by the compassion and humanity of the people who run it .

I sadly lost my beloved Tink 3 days before Christmas I rang GPC almost straught away in tears and the kind lady on the phone (sorry cant remember her name) was so understanding and so lovely to me she out me at ease straight away, then Dave came along and what can you aay about this man, never met a more genuine, kind soul, passionate man, I cried the whole time in front of him and he just let me, he took a tink and spoke to her and looked after her as if he was his own cat, I couldn't recommend this service enough. I am not sure who will receive this but I would be grateful if you could forward it on to any senior member of the Gedling Borough Council who over see the pet cremation service department. We used your services for Mickey our spaniel, I have to say the level of customer service, empathy, sympathy and understanding was by far the best customer service myself and my wife have ever received. Mickey was a quiet and dignified dog and the way in which you handled his affairs was the same way. In our opinion to receive a hand written card from Jo & Dave was totally unexpected and did more for our mental health and well being that any counselling could have done, Knowing that people who have never met us took the time to write a card and not just “did there job”. Talking to David when we collected Mickey, his dedication and attitude to the job was above and beyond what I would have expected and I hope in some way he can appreciate the impact his attitude had on us coming to terms with the Loss of Mickey. We lost our beautiful cocker spaniel Jasper on Monday after almost 16 years with him. It was a huge blow and gut wrenching to let him go. Having never cremated a pet before we weren't sure where to go or how the process would work but we're very glad that we found Gedling Pet Cremation Services. Jade was so lovely when I spoke to her on the phone despite me being very upset. She was calm and reassuring and went through everything to make it as simple as possible. When David arrived to collect our little boy he was incredibly gentle and understanding and talked to us throughout to help ease the situation. There is not a bad word to say about this place! Im super happy with the service they provided, the receptionist was exceptionally nice and organising and paying for the cremation was made an easy and simple process. Not to mention they can pick up your pet for the cremation and drop off the ashes. The service was super cheap compared to other services I had looked at and the care and respect for my pet was amazing, they even sent a personalised card and a printed out poem. Thanks to the people here I am glad to say that my pet Reggie will be with me always, and when it is time for his brother to join him I will definitely be using this service again. Fate and lockdown restrictions bought this place to my attention when our beautiful cat Teddy passed away at home on Sunday. All I can say is thank goodness they did. What a wonderful service they provided at such a sad time. One phone call on Monday morning and everything was sorted. David arrived less than an hour later to collect Teddy from West Bridgford where he was met by the blubbering wreck that I had become. He was so calm, kind and understanding and made me feel so much better. We spent a good time just chatting about Teddy and I said my last goodbye to her. David treated her with such dignity and compassion and I knew she was in good hands. I asked if her favourite mat and toy mouse could be cremated with her and that was no problem. David returned this morning with Teddy’s ashes in a pretty forget me knot container and a sympathy card from him and Jade. I cannot fault the service and I will never forget the compassion and kindness shown to me. If there was more than a five star rating I would have given it.

Called at 4.30pm, arrived at 5pm at which point they were closing, obviously an emotional time and they recognised this, no rushing, extremely accommodating, showing empathy and compassion even at the end of the day. Went through everything with all options, kept a great line of communication. Great service from Jade and David, a credit to Gedling Council and simply good people. Only negative would be lack of signage from main road but that's nothing really! Thanks guys, sadly no doubt be visiting you again one day!

I've sadly had to use this service more than I would have liked. However, the level of care and dignity each time has blown me away. Poor David has seen my super ugly cry face more than anyone deserves to. I selected GPCS, not due to location, but because when I called up, in a horrible crying mess, I was spoken to with dignity, even though if anyone could've seen my face they would've run a mile. Jade is kind, courteous and understanding. And David, he comes over and he is just so lovely and makes sure that the person underneath the blubbering mess is okay..

My darling boy, Thomas, passed away on Monday. To say I was beyond devastated is an understatement. I rang gedling pet cremation service, and spoke with Jade. Obviously I broke down a couple of times whilst discussing details, but Jade was so kind and compassionate, it made an intensely stressful experience, less traumatic. Having never used a cremation service before, I was worried that whomever I spoke to, would be all business, without understanding. This was absolutely not the case, Jade was amazing. Thomas was collected by David, a great guy, very understanding, and didn't rush the process. Thomas's ashes delivered back, on time and date I requested. Thank you, for your kindness, I can't recommend you enough. Side note, also much more reasonable in price than other cremation services.

We sadly had to use these services on Tuesday 9th June. The gentleman that arrived to collect my boy Muffin could not have been more understanding, compassionate or caring. He took time to explain what would happen, he allowed my dog nancy to see my muffin cat and explained it was better for her to see what was happening. He gave us time to say goodbye to muffin, and understood that having had muffin in our lives for 20 years it was hard to let him go he promised me he would have muffin back home by late afternoon wednesday, and he kept his word.
