The vets here genuinely seem to care about the animals that they treat. They aren't like other vets that will have you in at the drop of a hat to do a thousand expensive tests that your pet doesn't need. They are down to Earth, reasonable, and in my experience have been lovely. The only down side is that they aren't very organised when it comes to sorting out the bill or dealing with worming and flea treatments, even when you pay for them via direct debit every month.

Just took my dog Jake and unfortunately because of his anxiety and mine also he as to be sedated for a scan. The nurses and Miriam were brilliant with Jake and really accommodating with his and my needs. They worked round him to make it a less stressful situation. It is extra hard for them with the currant vivid situation but went out of there way for us. Well pleased keep up the good work. Thank you.

Great veterinary practice where the vets and staff are awesome. We've been using your Practice since moving to the area. The care given to our pets, and the patience shown to us (the over-protective owners) is second to none. Every member of staff, from the Veterinary Surgeons, the nurses, the admin staff, and the trainees provide exemplary customer service skills, and it means so much to us that you do your work with dedication, passion, and with the welfare of our cats at the heart of everything you do. It's also worth noting the direct link with East Midlands Referrals who were also fantastic with one of our cats who sadly passed away. I cannot stress enough how important it is to us to know that our cats will get the very best care and treatments available, and the peace of mind this gives, even when ultimately sometimes the diagnosis is one you are dreading. Knowing that your pet is in safe hands with Medivet Hucknall from the moment they enter your life until the moment they leave - is the best compliment I can pay the Team there.

I have nothing bad to say about what WAS Buckley House but with its consumption by Medivet, and the apparent departure of Miriam, there is nothing left of the practice that has had my custom for 15 years. I never thought I'd miss the brusque tones of one particular receptionist, but I do. I would follow a trusted vet anywhere within sensible commuting distance so until I find Miriam, I may trek out to Eastwood to see Jonathan.

Cannot recommend these vets enough! Middle of the night emergency, thanks to their quick diagnosis and the fact they were open for emergencies meant my fur baby was prepped and operated on in time to save her life, if we'd have had to wait until the morning she wouldn't be here now! The follow up appointments were booked in at convenient times, they kept us up to date on her progress throughout her time there and were all round lovely people. They also helped with the pet insurance claim as I had absolutely no idea what to do! Thank you so much!!

Took my 'baby' girl here today as unsatisfied with my previous vet. Miriam was great!!! She explained the choices open to me ( unlike my previous vet) and we left feeling much happier and calmer with a slightly more positive attitude towards the future. All members of the team truly care about animal health and welfare and will do all they can to ensure pets are looked after to the best of their ability and that owners understand their pets condition and how they can help their pet to return to good health and avoid a return (wherever possible) of health issues. They work well together and also liaise well with their sister practice EMR, when needed for additional pet care and treatment. I would trust any pet of mine into their care. A genuinely lovely team!

FIVE stars just isn't enough !!! Our Tia was taken there when she got ran over by a car Sunday evening the service we have received is nothing short of outstanding they have kept in contact daily and also accommodated us when we wanted to visit Tia. They were very sympathetic when we thought we were going to lose her due to her injuries but the following morning Tia had surprised us all due to the level of expertise and care they demonstrated she is now on the road to recovery. I read the reviews with regards to pricing and other issues none of which we had with regards to the pricing if you want amazing care then that comes at a cost and we were only too happy to pay what they asked i actually found it to be quite reasonable. SO .........to all receptionists nurses and anyone else i forgot thank you for giving everything it means so much x Richard,Karen,sienna-Mae and not forgetting Tia keep up the amazing work

I am so upset and disappointed with Medivets. Since they took partnership with Buckley House the service has changed considerably. Why I am so upset and annoyed is that I have repeatedly been sent emails about previous pets who are no longer with me. What has driven me to write this review is information being sent to me by Medivet telling me how to clean Ripples teeth. She has been passed away for nearly a year. I have requested a cat being taken off of my account for the past 2 months. I also get reminders about flee treatment and also had a call in the middle of an operation asking me if I wanted my cat microchiped. This should have been discussed at the consultation. I feel the practice is being driven by money. No refection on Miriam, the vets or most of the VN's as they do an amazing job. I am only now with this practice due to the vets and VN's, not the Company. Very dissatisfied and upset customer for over 20 yrs. I am sure Mr Oliver is happy with his decision to sell half the practice.

I had to have my little best friend my baby put to sleep here on the 8/6/2020. My baby was really poorly with a tumor and internal bleeding the vet miriam was very caring at this heartbreaking time the hardest thing I have ever had to do . After using Buckley House (Medivet) for many years with various pets, I am concerned with a couple of issues during a recent visit that took away the personal touch that they have always had an excellent reputation for. Firstly whilst my cat was on the operating table they gave me a telephone call to ask if I wanted a micro chip putting in as well as the procedure. This may appear overly sensitive but I was already concerned and anxious about him getting through the operation. Having always been told that the practice would only call if there were any issues, to then be telephoned about adding something like a Microchip to the procedure whilst my was pet was anaesthetised I thought this to be quite insensitive. I feel quite strongly that if I was keen to have had a micro chip then I would have discussed this at the consultation appointment and before my pet had been anaesthetised. I also found the receptionist to be quite abrupt and not welcoming on arrival. Not sure if I will be returning; I feel quite sad that I may have to look elsewhere after 20 years.

Lovely knowledgeable vets, extremely professional, excellent diagnosis and treatment, I took my cat Blossom who was salivating and making strange jaw movements ( chattering).She was checked over by a student overlooked by a Vet and they discovered tooth trauma and sore gums ,they administered pain relief and antibiotics via injection. Within 3 hours she was a happier cat,and continues to be getting better. Thank you Buckley House

I’am very sad that will Heston has left an absolute marvellous vet in every way.. he was the only one that I would see with my dog.. it was wills quick diagnosis of finding out that my dog had a brain tumour that she was able to have radiotherapy ... I really don’t know which vet I will be seeing now as i’am not so sure I will be staying at Buckley house myself now they have lost one of the best vets.. terrible shame..
