I took my cat for her annual vaccination and a check up to Medivet, Sherwood, having been rejected by my local vet with no explanation, other than "the vet would not be comfortable treating my cat". She weighs four kilos and I suppose she is very ferocious. The Staff at Medivet were most helpful and the vet was superb with my cat. I'll definitely be back.

Had to say goodbye to my dear 17 year old bishon this week . So sad and traumatic but staff were all great. And treated us with much love and care.

This used to be a private vet but was bought out by MediVet. Don't let this put you off. The staff are mostly the same, the vets are top-notch, they listen and offer support. Just look past the corporate speak. They're very supportive. I've had 2 FIP cats. FIP is fatal unless treated with an unlicensed antiviral, which the vets aren't allowed to administer. Every other vet I went to wanted to have the cats PTS, every one. I wasted 6 weeks trying vet after vet and being offered zero advice or support. The vets at this practice took a different approach, did the research, helped me with relevant blood tests (saving me a small fortune in the process) and then supported me while I administered the injections myself at home, having taught me how to do it using saline. Both of my FIP kittens survived and are now thriving. I can not thank them enough. Brilliant practice.

Honestly we are so happy with Medivet Sherwood. It was our puppy's first visit and it was such a positive experience. The staff on reception were so kind and lovely and our vet was amazing and was so great to our puppy. We were seen well on time and everything was clean and tidy. We would highly recommend Medivet sherwood and we are very happy we went with them!

Best vets in Nottingham! The vets here are so attentive and really care about animals. The care our animals receive is top notch and the reception staff are incredible at providing last minute emergency appointments.

Staff are always helpful and friendly. They cannot do enough for you! The vets are brilliant. I have had a lot of service from Rumen, whom has got to be the best vet I have ever had to use!! I can't thank Rumen enough for everything he has done for my ageing Pet Springer, Rommel who is now 14.5 yrs old and had some problems during this last year. Friendly and caring staff, really looked after my cat. Offered fantastic, caring and always quick care whenever I've sought their assistance over the years. This has included dental treatments, a fractured paw and numerous treatments for scrapes and being seriously injured from a fight. If I'm ever worried about my cat they have always tried to see him as quickly as possible. They even helped me when I brought in a sick blackbird and an unknown cat whom I'd seen run over by a car. I wholeheartedly recommend.

I have an older diabetic dog whose condition has necessitated fairly frequent visits recently both to Sherwood and out of hours at Alfreton. Both my long haired chi and cat come on the same day. Not a peep out the cat. Chi. Would not have his claws cut(he now knows every trick in the book bless him) so was sedated. Just cost a bloosy fortune. Still all done both happy. Thank you
